January 24th

January 24th.

I wish

how long until you all realise this isn't a ps4 exclusive?

Screencap it.
We only let people pre-order on PS4.

Where did you hear this?

It's what the computer says.

Break's over goodbye.

why are people so excited for a boring remake
it has none of the charming cartoony appeal of the original psx games anyway

it's also easier.

they made crash bandicoot, an already easy game, EASIER

someone post the literal train-sexual waiting for Crash at the end of the stage

Why is he furry?

I honestly never cared for the Crash games. Never really saw the appeal either. There isn't a lot of variety, it seems. I would've rather seen a Spyro remaster, but I suppose that could be coming as well. I don't see why they would get the rights to remaster Crash, but not Spyro, too.

>I don't see why they would get the rights to remaster Crash, but not Spyro, too.
crash is a bigger franchise and more people remember it compared to spyro

i still do want PC releases of the first 3 spyro games

Are you sure? I was a kid in the 90's, but if I recall correctly, they were equal in popularity.

They were very technically impressive at the time.

I played the first game for the first time last year and thought it was still pretty enjoyable (if rock hard and with a few frustrating issues with collision detection)

It's fun as fuck and was a technological marvel.

yeah all three crash games outsold all three spyro games, especially warped.

woah

I disagree.

Probably a timed exclusive, so maybe next year.

Sony owns the rights to Crash 1-3, why do you think why Crash 1-3 are on PSN but not XBLA and steam?

Im buying this just so my 3 and 5 year old nephews can enjoy them when they come home

*2018

Inauguration day?

Here's the thing, Sony produced the first three games so the contract between Sony and Activision on this is going to force some exclusivity

Do they?

I assumed it was the same reason NES games are generally only on VC.

spyro games were better (except for crash 2) imo, so i'll concede

Rather play Crash than any modern Sonic game.

New Sonic games just don't work.

>Sony owns the rights to Crash 1-3
no they don't, activision owns the franchise.

Universal was the producer, not Sony; later, Activision bought the rights to the IP

Pretty sure Crash 3 has the most variety of any platformer I've ever played. Arguably to its detriment, given the shitty racing levels.

Because he has fur.

Activision owns Crash rights but not for the first trilogy, sony published those

I'm really not sold on the graphic style in the trailer. Crash is a really tricky game to remaster because a lot of the game's design is so heavily influenced and tied to the limitations of the original PlayStation.

>sony published those
No they did not, Universal Interactive did

Yeah, Sony owns the publishing rights to the first three games (and CTR, I believe). Although I'm not sure if the publishing deal they originally made with Universal covers any potential remakes.

In addition, N-Sane Trilogy could technically be considered a brand new game, and even though it's based on the original trilogy, it being built completely from the ground up and utilizing new assets (e.g. all of the sfx, va work, and music were redone for this remake specifically) could lead to Activision performing some loophole-esque strings in order to sell the game on whatever platform they choose.

When you consider all of this, along with the fact that Activision barely ever publishes games that aren't multiplatform, N-Sane Trilogy being a timed exclusive seems a lot more likely.

It's going for the le Pixar squeaky clean graphics.

God I wish this would come out on PS4. I might actually buy one just for this.

I mean PC.

Thats my birthday

can't wait for steam release..! I hope it doesn't ask for too much cpu
