Why does prague as a setting feel so unconnected to the rest of the deus ex franchise ?

why does prague as a setting feel so unconnected to the rest of the deus ex franchise ?

because nobody even knows where prague is

I doubt many people know jack about Prague, myself included so I think that was the main factor. I would've liked it to take place in Germany.

The whole game feels disconnected. There isn't enough reason to really care about the plot, especially since we know how it ends because it's a prequel, and they didn't make the HOW and WHYs of how it ends that interesting.

They wanted the oo la la prague audience.

but people from prague are exceptionally unattractive both physically and mentally

I think it's trying to appeal to middle upperclass

Prada comes to mind with the word association and the fashion choices in game.

It was probably an idea pushed early on in planning meetings but for political reasons no one had the guts to say "this is stupid, set it in Berlin or Paris instead if we're doing Europe"

Mankind Divided was set in Prague because Human Revolution rushed release cut the Paris and Montreal hubs from the game.

The plan for human revolution was to have questing hubs like Detroit and that Hong Kong for those two previously mentioned cities, where you uncovered Picus' corruption/ manipulation before the whole TV station rush, and Paris would have been about trying to fish for clues about the Illuminati group towards the end of the game before rushing to Pancea.

prague had a huge part in the first deus ex game, you have news over it, i think they went that way, i feld good tho, fuck yall saying it was bad
fucking perfonrmance tho

It's an interesting setting. I like settings with second-tier places, London, Paris etc. are fucking overused. More games should take place in places like Torino, Bordeaux, Frankfurt and so on.

Because that way it looks like Dishonored had a baby with Half Life.

Just a coincidence.

Prague feels more like Deus Ex 1 than the hubs of HR did. Still, I like them all.

This i think, i'm a slav, not czech but they're my neighbours and the slight knowledge of prague/czech republic made it way more enjoyable for me

I was there a few times, they captured it quite well.

wew

it was fine. better that your generic NY, LA, whatever shit

The palisade bank was fucking rad
in all of the missions that sent you there and in prichards dlc mission

I dunno. You think Detroit in HR was somehow connected to NY in the original?

Spooky

I've only been there once for the Sazmidat mission, and I'm only at Golem
City. Is there a main mission at Palisade?

You'll get a choice later, one of them is the Palisade.

>especially since we know how it ends because it's a prequel

Actually not really.

Could be that Jensen completely fails to touch the Illuminati.

Could be that he and and Janus manage to completely fuck up Everett and DeBeers but it turns out Janus was Page all along and was using the Juggernaut guys to seize power.

Could be that Janus wasn't Page and Jensen fucks up the Illuminati, but Page was ready/is really good at seizing opportunities and set op MJ12 shortly afterward.

the DLC mission is by far the biggest, I'm not finished with the game myself but you'll get another palisade mission after you get back to prague

cause it didnt feel cyberpunk at all

Why is Bob Page so fucking based? Jesus Christ

I wonder what his VA thinks of the franchise.

>haven't played MD in months, but fire it back up to do NG+
>game always crashes when taking subway to certain zone

wew

is this game cpu intensive than other games?
because i have decent gpu.
or does this game need massive gpu power?

16 GB ram minimum

Because it's one fuck off European city with little relevant going on.

that feel when 8gb pleb

>this was deliberate placed there
>Adam has no reaction whatsoever when you see it
How strange

"Sweet, I'm getting paid" is probably about the extent of it.

>>Adam has no reaction whatsoever when you see it
This is not the only case where you don't get any reaction or chance to use the info you find.

I only have 8gb of ram on my gpu. How bad will it run?

Daylight.

The only reason it's not relevant is it wasn't bombed or trucked by an islamist, yet.

That's because Muslims don't live in Eastern Euro, because the welfare is shit mainly

That's really forced.

I have 8 gigs ram a shitty 7 year old 2.8 i5 and a 970, played the game three times on high settings at 60 fps with some flashy options off, my pc is magic though

more like because they'd all get fucking slaughtered the second one of them does something like that

God damn magic is right if that guy is correct in 16gb as a min. 970 only has 3.5gb on it. How the fuck did you get any fps at all?

Seems like VRAM and having an SSD are the big factors in how well it runs.

I have aa GTX660 and an HDD (I know, I haven't upgraded since 2012, fuck you) and I'm running it on mostly High settings just fine but the load times are atrocious.

he was talking about ram
yeah I heard it has long loading screens so I installed it on my ssd as well, that must've helped

t. poorshit commie

>long loading screens
lol the metro rides are basically real-time

not poor, not a commie and not condoning this, but look at what happened in poland two week's ago. slavs are batshit insane and once again our first line of defense against the muslim invader

>some guys vandalized a kebab shop
damn much crusade

it's a start

Yeah, they don't get several hundred euros a week for not doing anything while complaining that it's not enough.

novelty and the juxtaposition of medieval/east euro aesthetics with advanced tech

I think

Mankind Divided was to Deus Ex what those 80 episodes of filler before Shippuden were to Naruto

I guess it's been a while since SoF II came out
