change the lame ass "d-pad"
make it a real console
The fucking battery life.
Would that even work for them?
A button that instantly slaughters every "leaker" tranny and nigger.
Dock can stream/play media and surf the net without the switch tablet.
seriously that thing is inexcusable
why the fuck does it not use the tried and true nintendo d-pad
Why did Nintendo drop out of the console race? The GC was fine. Developers put their games on all 3 consoles. They got lucky with the Wii and stormed the casual market but that left most real games on the PS3 and the 360. They got fucked with the Wii U and now they're trying something similar again instead of making a real console that can compete with the PS4 and Xbox One.
hdmi out without dock
pascal instead of maxwell
because it acts as face buttons when you play *bloop* *wahoo* 2 player mode
change one single thing to make it better? Easy;
You shutting up about the switch
change the name to just
"the nintendo"
I change the probability of it developing a solid-ass library full of games that I personally want to play to 100%
I'm basically sold on the premise, but the Wii U burned me so fucking bad. It had good games, sure, but I didn't feel pandered to at all and I hate it.
>The GC was fine. Developers put their games on all 3 consoles.
Not really, it was a Nintendo-only device with only a few noteworthy exceptions
Wii got 3rd party support only because a device with that big of a userbase will attract shovelware just by the nature of things
The only Nintendo hardware that's had decent 3rd party support is handhelds
Ah that makes sense
Looks like the pro controller has a regular d-pad, guess I'll have to pick one up.
>the Wii U burned me so fucking bad
You make it sound like there was something wrong with the Wii U's library?
Compete with ps4 and xb1?
Dude they're trying and failing to compete with the 7th gen. There are almost no games worth noting that have been released this entire fucking gen and NO ONE is excited for the current consoles.
If nintendo is going to survive they have no choice but to ditch the current console and AAA and steam trash paradigm and go their own way.
If the switch takes off in the west(it's basically a forgone conclusion that the thing will take off in nippon) it will have to HAVE TO flood it with AA and A titles that fill the niches and genres that have all but dissapeared last gen nonstop AND the games will all have to cost sub 60 dollars.
All of them.
If they want people to see it as both a handheld and be a successful console then the games will have to be comparable in price to the 3DS titles.
Scrap the split controller gimmick by replacing the joycons with slightly wider versions so there is an angled offset for better comfort and so the left one has an actual dpad.
I'm super fuckin' chafed about no D-Pad too, but consider this; how many brand new games are going to come out for Switch that you would actually need a D-Pad for?
>b- but muh retro 2D precision
I know, but you already have X amount of other systems to play old games on, don't you? Besides, the Pro controller does have a proper D-Pad, and they might even put out a Joycon that does have a D-Pad just to make you happy. Let's wait and see.
this
>no Animal Crossing
>no Metroid
>no F-ZERO
>no Zelda out in a timely manner
>no actual third-party support (not like I expected any, would have been nice though)
All the Mario games sure were great though. :^)
>I'm super fuckin' chafed about no D-Pad too, but consider this; how many brand new games are going to come out for Switch that you would actually need a D-Pad for?
If it's even 1 game then I'd be pissed.
It's not 1993 anymore. We shouldn't be having to make concessions on our controllers.
>Scrap the split controller gimmick
Do you mean just the aspect that each joy-con can be used independently, or scrap their entire ability to be removed
this delusion
Using them independently for two player.
It's a feature that realistically most people are not going to use much, if at all, and its existence is causing actual detriment to the joycon design and thus the overall experience for users.
It's the definition of a bad gimmick.
>how many brand new games are going to come out for Switch that you would actually need a D-Pad for?
inb4 they pull a 64 and we get like 4 games that utilize only the d-pad for movement for literally no reason
Seriously, I'd rather just buy another controller than have someone deal with that tiny thing in multiplayer games,
I make it resistant to plane windows.
You guys do realize that the pro controller has the good d pad, right?
Who is this burrito mojito?
Unless the console comes with a procrontroler as well...that means nothing.
Do away with any idea of paid online
30 hours :^)
>The GC was fine
No it wasn't. It was utterly ridiculed by the competition. Nintendo can't compete without gimmicks.
I already know that if I get a switch I'm going to pretty much need to get two pro controllers so no one has to use the gimped controller.
I can already see my nephews fighting over who gets to use the good controller...
This is honestly exactly all I want out of the Switch.
I'm 99% sure it won't come with a pro controller
It may not even come with a joycon grip
How about Nintendo One. Their shills can create multiple threads each day to teach us that it's abbreviated "The One" but we'll still call it "the None" or "Nintendone".
Nintendo has been a meme since the Wii. They stopped trying, and just push out the same 5 Mario games over and over
>and NO ONE is excited for the current consoles.
Which totally explains why the ps4 has been selling like crazy near constantly.
>It's cool guys, you can just pay extra to have what you should have had from the start!
Can you charge the switch on the go? It would be a really simple addition (if it doesn't already exist) of a micro usb port so you can charge the thing in the wall or car outlet without worrying about the battery dying.
Shut the project down before Nintendo gets branded forever as the underpowered gimmick console makers with no third party games.
Just like with the 360 and PS3 except I don't even get two controllers to start with.
Yeah, you can charge it on the go. It uses USB-C. A third party car charger was already leaked. I don't see why you couldn't use a power bank or a USB wall adapter either.
The 360 and ps3 came with a good well rounded controller.
This doesn't. This comes with a gimped gimmick controller and wants you to pay extra to get the well rounded controller.
Take a wild guess.
I'd change the touchscreen
define "real" console
From what to what?
An XL version.
>"This New Product From Nintendo Will End Sony" Says Increasingly Nervous Nintendrone For 20th Time This Year
Because they are computer illiterate.
They both had shit d-pads and didn't have the gyroscope the joycons have.
It's the only console people are buying
I would like to change the Tegra X1 to an X2, but that will just make the battery life even worse then it probably is right now as well as cause massive concern about over heating.
So I guess just fix the battery. Needs to last at least 8 hours undocked. Anything less and people will think there is no point bringing it out on the go as they won't be able to accomplish anything.
The 360 dpad was crap but the dualshock wasn't, and the 360 dpad is probably better than the switch "dpad" which is saying something.
>didn't have the gyroscope the joycons have.
Dualshock controllers have had gyroscope functionality since the ps3 launched.
Make it not a Nintendo product.
Nintendo hasn't done anything of worth for over a decade. Every single first party game they make is unredeemable shit, and their consoles are laughable.
Put the switch in the hands of a company that doesn't deserve to die and we'll see what happens.
we don't even know what the fucking battery life is.
Change from The Nintendo Switch to The Sony Switch
How retarded do you have to be to think "not gonna get anything done with ONLY 8 entire hours of gaming before coming home to plug it in and game more"
Not all of us are neets
Make it a console and not a portable hybrid.
It's the only thing I hope.
Nintendo has a lot fo money, they could probably pump a lot of games, but I doubt they will spend money like that
>hear about the switch a while ago
>'lmao the leakers are getting desperate with these fakes'
>it turns out to be real
>mfw
Are small discs really a gimmick though? I don't know what their reason for it was but otherwise the GC was a good console and more powerful than the PS2.
A nice long lasting battery
>I don't know what their reason for it
Trying to stop conterfeiting.
I think the small discs were supposed to combat piracy
Not really a gimmick, but more of an act of obstinence by nintendo that bit them in the end.
They didn't want to support dvd, so they chose a minor disc media that wasn't as good.
A decent screen. I'm willing to bet, knowing their track record, that the screen on that little thing is going to be mighty shitty. Just like anything else that has a screen that's also nintendo.
>"onry $49.99 dorrars you firthy gaijin piggu!"
>Switch confirmed for costing upwards of $450 plus tax for a usable bundle
>cheaper model version that doesnt have a screen or the handheld, its just always docked in
I'm expecting it to be lcd and have meh viewing angles despite them wanting it to be used for 6.2 inch splitscreen.
That feels like a pretty typical nintendo move.
It hasn't.
It's in fact selling like total trash when compared to the last gen or even the ps2. I mean actual sales to customers, not sold to stores and sitting on shelves.
That 3.6 tflop rumor is sounding pretty good about now. I'd even take one of the rear-view mirror controllers if it meant a console that wasn't as powerful as my toaster over
The DS3's d-pad was awful. It's way too stiff and basically feels like four individual buttons with a bunch of corners. It was serviceable for the 2D games and menu things like in Demon's Souls, but for fighting games, it'd just fuck my thumb up.
>Dualshock controllers have had gyroscope functionality since the ps3 launched
My mistake. I thought it just had an accelerometer because of how unresponsive it always was..
>It hasn't.
Except it has? In only 3 years it passed 53 million units, to actual customers. That's extremely solid and much better than the 360 or ps3 were doing in the same time frame.
>Seriously, I'd rather just buy another controller than have someone deal with that tiny thing in multiplayer games
That's exactly what Jewtendo wants.
That's why they design their controllers for non-human hands.
You'll have to spend like $200 plus tax for 4 Pro controllers to play multiplayer without anyone being gimped/mad.
Scrap the whole hybrid gimmick and make a full fledged handheld out of it instead of a retarded tablet.
Lose the gimmick, boost the power.
That, or get more games for it
This is part of why I'm not buying one.
I don't like the extra costs to get it to where it should be. I'm gonna have to provide my own storage it seems and get a better controller, and if the thing is $250 as rumored that means I'm past $320 without tax by the time I get set up with it, without a game.
I could have got a ps4 with a game and a second controller for $250 this holiday.
Spend money like what?
They only have to contract guys like Platinum, get Capcom Sega and Mistwalker for the A and AA jap stuff
Then get one of the THOUSAND western devs out there to be their western b team and pump out the IP whoring stuff that's needed to keep the western games fags happy.
Shantae on the big screen anyone?
Maybe contract Ubisoft so that they produce some rayman, just dance and rabbids stuff.
They'll also have to have to have to work on digital. For fucks sake, a kid will more then likely be willing to spend five bucks at a local store to buy nintendo E points to buy dlc, some microtransaction on a freemium game, or a whole game if they see it advertised somewhere and happen to have the switch on hand.
Why four? You already have two joycons + the grip. All you need is three more controllers like every other system.
>fighting games
What fighting game do you play that's four player?
Dude, they litterally could have saved the fucking wiiu from crashing with no survivors by just creating a sub $200 sku with two pro controllers and a copy of fucking splatoon and mariokart.
If you're waiting on that then you're going to be waiting for a long fucking time.
Not him, but if someone has to use the joycon that means someone has to use a worse controller.
It's kinda shitty. Like handing someone a madcatz n64 controller.
Actual sales to customers, not sitting on the fucking shelves and collecting dust in warehouses.
And if you take a single look at software sales you'll realize that the number is HEAVILY inflated.
What's worse about it if you're playing game that doesn't heavily use the d-pad?
Wouldnt mind to see a second battery with fan for best FPS and normal clock speeds while portable.
Im hoping it is thicker than the 3ds that shit was so skinny it hurt the hands to hold in long sessions
>Actual sales to customers,
Yes, actual sell through to customers, 53.4 million as of december.
but its the best idea in this thread
and this dont got the touch screen shit that the wii u had
>Splatoon
>Pro controller
You forgot about the two Wiimotes.
worse ergonomics is a big one.
Still better than nothing though. When you get the Switch you can choose
>2P multiplayer with bad controllers
>single player and the other guy watches
With other consoles you don't even have the option
150 euro price
40 euro games
Include the better controller for no extra charge.
More sequels at launch instead of ports.
How do you know it has worse ergonomics if you haven't even held it?
Don't know enough to change anything.
