The second dock is for when your on the other side of your huge house and you're switch is about to run out of juice so you run up to your dad's HDTV that has the second dock and stick it in so you don't loose your progress

Just because you can stick a connector in a jack doesn't mean the functionality is there. Especially if there's a propriatery port which is more than likely because they make money on replacements.
