Vita 2 Hype Thread

Since the Switch is in ruins, Sony might as well just go ahead with the Vita 2

seriously, they'd stand a much butter chance than this thing.

So much of it is set up wrong.

...

>implying Sony will ever make another handheld again

Honestly, I loved my Vita. I just wish the games came out for it at a higher rate than a trickle these days.

Even a week ago no one could have predicted that Nintendo would shoot themselves in the foot so badly

This is 2017. Anything can happen. Mega Man Legends 3 will return.

There's been seriously a lot of releases the last 4 or 5 months.

As long as it actually has flagship titles this time and not just dating sim ports and fighting games

Seriously give it a Digimon game, a God of War game, and Persona 5 as release titles and some good niche genre games like a gundam/zoids/other arena fighter and a few VN's and sims for people into that stuff and they'd be golden assuming they ditch all the piled up costs.

They should copy the Switch idea but with free online and more space.

Call it the sony machine and make it compatible with ps3 games too, sometimes less is more.

PS3 is unreasonable because of the fucked cell architecture

Also Sony has been pushing PS+ forever, they're not going to give that up. At least you'll only need to pay for a single subscription for PS4 and Vita2 online.

>they abandon the system have way through the presentation

>halfway through the presentation they stop talking about it and start focusing on PS4 and VR

Please make it happen. I don't want handhelds dying with the switch.

It had multiple digimon games, the best version of person 4, a huge amount of gundam/robot games, and a shitton of vns and sims.

The vita had all that stuff but god of war.

>tfw Vita and WiiU are your favorite platforms this gen

At this point I don't think I'm allowed to have nice things. like Fatal Frame 5 used up all my goodwill for this decade or something.

I'd love a Vita Pro, but it'll never happen.

Literally lol'd.

>Mega Man Legends 3 will return

Fuck you, I started a new file of Legends 2 earlier this week. This is a bad feel, man.

>not psp2 with complete support for ps2 games

>complete support for ps2 games
How would you even do that?

Did anyone use Near?

I'd rather have a Vita 2 if we're talking straight hardware. What with, you know, two analog sticks and a better screen and all that. I mean hell, what makes Vita not the PSP2?

emulate them, just like ps4

I did.

I still get hits on it.

I thought how some early games used it was awesome, especially touch my katamari.

I loved being at work and checking and seeing some guy in the building beat one of my scores, so I then beat it back while he worked at beating more of mine, and we'd get updates at work.

>remove touchpad
>remove cameras
>add L2/R2
>better sticks
>GET GAMES
Perfect. Will never happen.

Oh, and get rid of proprietary memory cards. Obviously.

No, what I mean is, where are the ps2 games coming from?

The vast vast majority of them are not available digitally for any platform. The ones that are are coded for specific platforms and specific emulation wrappers and would require porting.

You'd have to license and convert every game you put on the store, many of which from now defunct publishers might be a complete crapshoot to license.

It's a logistical and licensing nightmare.
