how do you people even manage this, it baffles me to no end
Some people are playing for fun and not just being tryhards
How is solo ranked in this game?
>Playing competitive ranked games for fun
Just play community servers all the time. I payed to have fun, not get spinbotted or be designated by a rank.
literally how
youd have to be literally retarded to think you can play an FPS and not try hard to win
anyone who says theyre satisfied with a negative kd is a liar
Wtf is there to do in that shit game? All it has is the tryhard aspect of it.
How much money did you lose on a knife?
>Playing literal shit for 1000+ hours
Pc master race amirite?
>2000+ hours
>have played in iron twice
I thought I was bad
at 1000 hours you should be AT LEAST MGE even if you're playing for fun
that's different then , but if you only played community servers you would've lost your rank in a while
did they fix ranked?
I'unno. My computer is too bad so I only play casual now. Back when I had a gaming laptop, I did UGC. Someone else can answer that. But knowing Valve, probably not.
fps is the easiest genre to play for fun only compared to rts, moba where losing feels like a complete waste of time. you can go for sick kills, wallbangs, jumpshots, any kind of cheese and still enjoy the game. this is the main advantage of playing an fps game but you 14 year old esport watching nerd cucks are ruining it
Tagging derp
>1000+ hours
>still playing that pos
What is it like to be so dead inside?
well just don't play ranked then man, noone has a problem with any of that but people tend to come into competitive and pull that shit in there
>oh I'm just trying to have fun!
Well guess what, go play some fucking community servers then, plenty of nice workshop maps as well to have even more fun
I've held off for so long. I can feel it gripping at me, tempting me. I can't give in. When will I be free?
>thinking 1000 hours is a lot in an online competitive game
how new are you
I used to play counter-strike a lot in highschool, like thousands and thousands of hours in 1.3 and 1.5, and after 10 years of not playing I gave CS:GO a try last month and made it to Gold Nova II that night.
maybe you sucked ass when you first started and dug a hole so deep you can't get out
>wallbang
>you 14 year old esport watching nerd cucks are ruining it
The irony of this post... It's at least once a month I have to explain to you kids that your slang isn't normal. It's funny. You don't realize it.
Someone born in the 80s/90s probably isn't going to say cuck or wallbang. The latter not so much since it was widespread on consoleshit pretty early.
>CSGO
>Competitive
You are just addicted, unless you aren't some kind of actual pro who gets paid to play, you are just wasting time in public servers.
>1000hrs
What's your actual gameplay? for me it says 84hrs on steam but playtime is 50hrs.
>mfw I realized most multiplayer games are a complete waste of time
its called competitive because it follows the rules of an actual competitive game such as timers and other settings. it wont be an actual competive game because its the easiest way to start playing a 5v5 and no one who takes the game seriously plays it. its not like i straight up ruin games, im still le/lem and i try to win but sometimes im gonna rush out and force that deagle kevlar. the majority of people do this, there is just a very small reddit comminity who expects you to sweat and try your hardest in a game with 4 strangers
>competitive
>in public server with randoms
When will this meme die off? Competitive games aren't played with fuckin server randoms.
Get some friends to play comp with and learn good situational awareness. The game is half skill half strategy.
thanks user, any eye opening wisdom you would like to share with us, le sheeple? wonder when you gonna realise that posting on Sup Forums is also a waste of time but that doesnt mean you cant enjoy it
and where do you think wallbang originated?
I didn't play CS back then, so CoD4 was the first place I've heard it being use, since you could shoot through walls
>im gonna rush out and force that deagle kevlar
I'm talking about people who will go buy a negev while losing because they're bored
I rarely try my hardest and it shows, but that's mostly because I'm pretty much only playing 5-man premade with friends and we still try to win while having fun so we can record it and put it up on youtube in compilations
It's not even hard to get out of silver
Basic spray control, game sense and crosshair placement should get you into the nova ranks at least.
>Play CS:GO for the first time ever
>Placement puts me in single AK
>Get to double AK in just few days
>Stop playing for a year
>Get back to it
>Get double ak
>after a few days get to DMG
How is it even possible to end up in the silver in the first place? Let alone stay in it after 1000 hours of playtime?
>and where do you think wallbang originated?
Pretty sure it started in CS, But I rarely ever heard someone say it. From the perspective of someone who played these games when they were new. Wasn't till console FPSes like CoD MW that the term was thrown around.
>tfw 1400 hours and only Legendary Eagle Master
I should be smfc/global by now and playing actual matches, not matchmaking garbage
How would you even get that rank if you're playing for the first time ever?
Would you even be half decent at spray control of all things?
probably played a bunch of FPS before
crosshair placement is more important than spray control
>Wasting your time on a glitchy piece of shit which is only used to milk money out of its absurdly unintelligent player base
I practiced a little by myself, so I could get a hang of things. I just did really well in all placement matches, even tho I didn't know the maps or anything like that.
I've played a lot of fps games, even competitive Quake, so I guess that helped a little.
>1000+ hours
>played CS since 1.3
>still in GN2
I just don't have good reaction. Or coordination. Or anything else!
Think about the Overwatch community and the CoD community merged into one.
+ Russians
>tfw haven't played competitive solo in over 2 years because you're scared of shitting up the game and getting bullied
>tfw want to play and none of the friends are online now
this
rank?
Don't feel too bad OP, I've played just under 800 hours and I'm GN3.
I mostly play it with my friends who range from SM to GN3 and we pretty much just try to win by goofing around.
It's pretty fun that way, nobody gets angry at one another, nobody rages around and we bascially just banter the one who messes up the most in a round.
CS is literally the only game to play with friends in order to have fun. Mobas will make you toxic, overwatch is, for the most part, pretty bad and coop sandbox games get boring as fuck after the first hour or two.
mge
but I'm still too uncomfortable to play with people from Sup Forums
Every minute you stay dead in a match is a minute you could spend DMing and improving your skills
That's what community servers are for
People who play video games competitively are massive fucking weirdos anyway so I don't know why anyone would actually want to do it.
Same as 1.6, fun. I spent something between 1000 and 2000 hours on a single community server where most players were regulars and knew each other.
siege is bretty /comfy/ fps with my bros
the best non competitive FPS though is a walking simulator like Arma 3 or PR, always good fun bullshitting in the back of a troop trans on the way to an objective.
I wish Squad wasn't so fucking fucked by that little lazy shit dev and was playable. perpetual alpha kickstarter hell
Mfw everything is a complete waste of time
Wow the amount of fookin arrogance in this thread is off the chart. Who gives a shit about ranks, there was no rank in cs 1.6 and people still had fun. Stop being a beta wanker and just play the game and stop focusing on stupid aspect. Youre esport career is an illusion. Enjoy the game, its not like someones gonna blow your dick because you did a good play.
Can you go on a rampage in arma?
Like, grab 4 buddies, hop in a truck and start gunning down people or fight against the police or something like that?
Because from the stuff I've seen, arma is mostly simulation and not that much of a "shooter".
There are some multiplayer servers/game modes that allow this kind of open world play but they suck shit.
just play CSCO
>game was designed specifically not to be competitive, and to be casual fun instead
>add competitive mode 9 years later
I know that they're trying to keep up with current trends, but ranked TF2 feels like a joke.
I stick with casual fun like I always did.
i'm an irl anime girl and i started out as nova 2 after my 10 wins ;)
>1300+ hours
>MG1 with 100 comp wins
>Dick around in casual and surf til i drop
what
How they fuck instead do you get good at aiming? Console fag here whos use to aim assist. I've barely played for less than 20 hours and it seems like your reticle has to be completely fucking off for you to land shots
but is it worse than Dota 2?
I don't know why I havent started playing on community servers more
just joined some gun only deathmatch and it's amazingly fun
lol fag
I got to gold in 2 days, what the fuck
How the hell do you have fun in a FPS if you don't kill enemy players and do objectives?
just fucking play man. if people are giving you shit or are annoying just mute them or tell them to shut the fuck up.
>1 hours
>diamond
feelsgoodman
>1,600 hrs in CSGO
>1,000 of them was playing and moderating a fairly active CSGO jailbreak server
>Only 400 hours of comp
>Reached LEM in those 400 hours
>200 hours are just idling or playing casual
Serious question : how do I get in silver? I have a smurf and after playing as shitty as I could I still got placed in gn2
>Feels bad
Are you having fun?
If you are, you are doing ok.
If you are not GE before you hit 1k hours you just suck and should stop playing video games.
this
>Someone born in the 80s/90s probably isn't going to say wallbang
Yeah, unless they play games where people frequently say it, dumbass.
>1000+ hours
>global elite
worked for me.
how's CSCO?
>Every minute you stay dead in a match is a minute you could spend DMing and improving your skills
DMing nonstop isn't going to help if you can't get frags in an actual match or have shit gamesense. There's a reason that people frequently ask why they do well in FFA but choke in actual matches.
I have 500 hours, and my best achievement was Nova 1
In my defense though, I've only played like 100 competitive games, and these were before I clocked 250 hours. Never really liked competitive, preferred casual for its chaotic nature.
Nowadays I don't even play casual, I just do surfing.
>unless you aren't some kind of actual pro who gets paid to play, you are just wasting time in public servers.
How do you think pros get good enough to get paid for it?
how is this shit game still alive?
worse than css
It was called spaming in cs1.6 and you could do it through pretty much everything
>unless i'm a retard and copy everything stupid i read online
It's really hard. There's deranking lobbies but the have weird rules and might kick you if they find out you're smurfing, but it's the easiest way to derank quickly
I only play dust2. I can't any other map. Maybe mirage but thats it.
Fuck wrong guy, meant for this one
>siege
>comfy
i started out hating siege and slowly grew into it, but the whole time it has been stress central to me. its fun in a horror game kinda way because i startle really easily
>look out window
>glaz punches hole next to my head
>screaming.mp4
I find it takes a lot longer to rank down once you enter the nova territory than it takes to rank up. You can go 10+ games with 16-0 losses on say silver elite master and still not get a derank.
you should play cache it's fairly small and simple like dust 2
>stop playing for months
>go from supreme to mg2
>got mge
>15 wins in with a average 35 kills is totally fair
well, atleast i feel like a god.
comfy isn't right, i should have said /männerbund/
