Inside is an indie game that swept up pretty much everyone but Jeff this year for their game awards.

Anyone who didn't think it was the second coming of Jesus Christ was deemed a pleb by Alex and Brad who just "didn't understand it".

The problem is that it has non-intuitive and shitty repetitive puzzles, and only got as high as it did because "BUT DUDE BLOB MONSTER", and "THE ATMOSPHERE DOESN'T NEED A STORY, IT JUST IS"

They all liked it because of pretty visuals and not much else, but apparently that makes it a top 10 game.

Jeff's main point was that the puzzles in the last 10 minutes are what he was looking for the whole game but never got.

That's what I'm wondering. I felt almost the closest to Dan at this years GOTY podcast (although his arguments for Stardew could have been better). He liked Inside as well, but he didn't kid himself about the importance of it.

Also I'll only get Andromeda if they lean full tilt into that space cowboy vibe they tried to get with "Ghost Riders in the Sky" in that one ad they made.

Jeff is interesting, I'm liking him less because he hates almost all games it seems like, but also liking him more because he at least reminds you that not all casual trash is trash. He really liked Titanfall 2 and also like Superhot but didn't have the bullshit Indie fallacies that Alex has about Inside.

For a VIDEO GAME profession they have chose it is surprising the amount of games they drop after an hour of play or games they actually finish playing in a year.
People here play more games than any of them,except maybe Jeff.

In a year with Spore 2, Inside is still the biggest meme of 2016.

I remember I got kinda mad when they didn't put Witcher III higher up last year.

They all justified it by not finishing it, but I even thought it should be GOTY since I didn't finish it. I just didn't realize how much side content was actually in it.

Vinny is the only one that finished The Witcher 3, but it took him a year. Understandable because he has kids, but the others are just jaded casuals who hate games.

for real? I loved dan before but even more now, he seems like he has a lot to say about some stuff but he has to consciously filter himself because the fun police is always present. Also, I have to say that GBEAST has become SO MUCH more better with dan around, the quicklook with the shitty horror game was pretty great and I look forward to dan bringing the much needed balance from Alex's sulky vagina

They put zero effort in games recently,simply play games like drones or for the sake of playing a game because its their job.
The curiosity of experimenting in games is gone in every single one of them.

I was about to watch it.
Dan was too much for the Jeffs crew and came as obnoxious but shines with Vinny for some reason.
