Playing this after FF15 is like night-and-day in terms of characters, world building, dialogue, and story.
Tidus and Wakka's friendship, as one example, felt real. It wasn't a forced boy band anime road trip. It felt like a real friendship that actually happens in the real world.
Where the fuck did it all go wrong? When will SE learn to write believable characters, a good story, and a good world again?
SE can not make a good FF because all the good devs left after the merger. They can't even properly remaster the ones that Square made.

The "HD Remaster" was made for the PSVITA and then ported to the PS3, the PS4 Remaster looks somewhat better (it's still based on the Vita port though).
The game was remade by shitters and the Vita version actually looks better than the PS4 version you dumbass.
Because everyone except Tidys, Jecht and Wakka barely qualifies as a character, and even Wakka's pushing it.

said, Wakka drops off hard after the tournament ends. He's a bit relevant through Operation Mi'Hen because he's carrying the Al Bhed and Machina subplot, but he really only serves as comic relief after that point.
By the time you flee Home he interacts with Rikku more than Tidus and it stays that way.
