Disgaea thread, since the last one archived before I could post.

I've heard D5 had pretty bad sales Co pared to the other titles.. but I wonder, could NIS have done it to themselves? Since they always resell their games as a port with all the dlc included later on, maybe people got smart and just said "I'll wait for the port".

Oh look, Disgaea 5 xo pletely for the switch. Whooda thinkit? It's actually a slap in the face to anyone who does buy a game when it originally comes out, because they usually include some sort of port exclusive content, like Etna/Axel mode, and the o ly way to enjoy it is to confirm pletely rebut the game. That's some netherworld level shillery right there, dood.

>Disgaea 5 switch

I'm actually glad I waited before I jumped the gun on this one but yeah what a slap to the face to the ones who bought it on PS4.

I was saving up to get a Ps4, and D5 was on my get list. I don't know enough about the switch to get one yet. I always wait a while before I sink several hundred deed dollars into a new console.

But lately I've been watching playthrus on YouTube of D5 while I sit here and play DD2, and man, I just really want to play this game. I hardly even do much of the extra dlc content anyway, so I'd be fine with the vanilla version. Just have to come up with $300 for a Ps4 and the game. Damn. Wish making money EY was as easy as going on and killing cats and penguins.

Will Stella return? She has appeared in all the ports so far so here's hoping she will again.

I hope so. I liked Stella more than Mao.

I really wanted Disgaea 5 on the Vita like the rest of the mainline titles, but that didn't happen. I'm looking forward to buying the Switch for D5 during the holidays, hopefully with a Zelda bundle.

Time to rate the protagonists

I don't know why so many people expected a Ps4 title on an 5 year old portable system. People think Disgaea games don't use much of a systems power because they still use sprite based graphics, but they have so much going on on the screen at once. D5 on the Vita would have melted it's insides. It's time to let go. Honestly, my Vita broke a few months back and I'm not even that worried about getting it fixed anymore.

Why is it a slap in the face to re-release on a mobile platform years after the original has released like they always do?

They said years ago that it would not come out on the vita, why would you wait?

>I don't know why so many people expected a Ps4 title on an 5 year old portable system.

Especially when NIS stated it would not run on the vita.

>Disgaea 5 switch
Is that a upgraded port like the PSP/Vita titles or just the regular D5 bundled with all of the DLC?

So far they've just confirmed all the DLC are in, no mention of anything new.

Becuase you get all the DLC for free with the re-release rather than being a shumck and buying them seperate for full price plus DLC.

I personally think they should release them both together that way everyone gets it at the same price. But then again I always like the new stuff they add in to the later ports.

Pretty sure its upgraded

If you have to ask that question, you don't deserve an answer. But I'll tell you anyways.

People who have played they're games since before they were even NIS, Like Rhapsody, La Pucelle, all that shit, who have been loyal customers and helped make the company what it is today, who buy the game when it originally comes out, giving the company even more profits so they can go on top make another game for us, then we buy the DLCs as they comes out, and D5 had what, $35 worth of just DLCs? And then they turn around and release the game on an entirely separate system with ALL the dlc included, plus usually some extra added port exclusive content. Not everyone owns multiple platforms. I'm not about to buy a $300 console just to rebut a game I already own, just to get SOME of the dlc I don't have yet.

Like I said. I imagine that's exactly why D5s sales were as low as they were. People we as customers have caught on to their scheme and lots of people didn't buy the game when it first came out. NIS is going to shoot themselves in the foot if they keep it up.

>Switch gets exclusive playable Liezelotte

>you can pick Seraphina in the switch version

>thinks D5 complete is Switch exclusive

Actually it's multiplatform. Also not the first time Disgaea does this.

But why would you want to?

Not the guy you responded to, but I don't see how that's different from all the others ports on PSP/Vita that the other games had. Those also had all DLC included plus some extra features on an separate system.

Where's Asagi's game?

And those ports were shameful, customer insulting shills as well.

>Becuase you get all the DLC for free with the re-release rather than being a shumck and buying them seperate for full price plus DLC.

Like they do with every portable version? They have done that every time.

DLC has always been free on re-release except for the psp games. Also NIS does not owe you anything just because you bought their old games. As much as you can complain about dlc prices it actually contained a scenario that was more than one battle long and had more content than any Disgaea.

Prinny 3

>And those ports were shameful

I dumped 500 hours on D1 on the psp, 200 hours on d2 on the psp, and bout 400 hours on D4 on the vita. The only shameful port was D3 which was garbage.

You're either retarded of intentionally trolling. Didn't mean at all that the game was shameful, but that the act of releasing a port with all the dlc content I clicked plus extra for the same price as the original was a shameful move.

Why? You want them to charge for the dlc on portable as well?

So essentially you are mad that you had to pay $35 extra, and that people should pay the exact amount you paid for a 2-3 year old game? Do you also get mad when games go on sale if you had already bought them?

Just don't buy the game if you already have it.
