Literally children complaining that mom won't get them a Christmas gift in March.
$300 is too much?
Try a job maybe.

Shitposting this fucking hard.
Cool arrows. That means you've been here for a long time right.
I'm fine with the $300.
but payed online better be $30 a year.
any more than that would be stupid.
also, they better host dedicated servers and not use p2p.
>t. buttblasted newfag nintenyearold
nah, I am usually on neogaf and reddit but came over because I saw a link to here on facebook
Or you know they don't think what they're offering is worth $300
Keep your head up nintendo bot, if the butthurt is feeling too harsh you can always use your plastic $50 a piece switch controller to simulate ice cubes in your anus.
>they better host dedicated servers
hahahahahahahahahaha
>$300
>$80 for joy con
>$60 for online
>$240 for botw, mario kart, mario odyssey and splatoon

For $700 I can fly to Bogota, do some really good coke, and fuck a Columbia bitch with an ass so good it will melt the butter off your pancakes
The problem isn't people aren't distressed about paying the $300 for the most part, it's that every dollar higher the consoles price goes it's chances of success slip away a little more.
A console's success is a very delicate reaction. It needs to sell a lot of units regardless of how it does it, actually good games, cheapness, hype, a dvd player whatever because no matter how much money the manufacturer throws at games if the install base doesn't reach a respectable size the 3rd parties wont bother with it, and for a console that's way weaker than the competition it needs to pull really respectable numbers to be get 3rd party attention because it can't rely on ports.
If it fails this then it's not "oh well nintendo doesn't need 3rd parties" because even nintendo needs enough of it's consoles sold to sell its own games, and besides the Wii U had no 3rd party support and look at how that went
why are you even here?
Yea, valve seems to be able to handle it.
Why not nintendo, or any console manufacturer? Do they really need to cut corners on something they're making you pay for? Do people not realize how ripped off they're getting?
+1
It's a lot for a nintendo console
I'm buying a 1080ti instead
>it's another "WHAT ARE YOU POOR?" thread
I hope someone is making a compilation of this, it's the most hilarious meltdown I've seen in a while
>take a shit on the floor
>try to sell it for 300$
>"What the fuck, that's too expensive for you? Get a job kid"
Wait for flop, purchase on the cheap, prof... ail.
You have to be over 18 to even be here. If you're an adult $300 is what you'll get minimum every week. Especially seeing you'll probably live with your parents at that age as well so its disposable. Even if you're non you're own
You're on your own, you can afford it if you can afford to live alone.
Its not excusable to complain about something cheap. I'm only pointing that out to expose how many children actually are here.
Online will be $10 a month with no year cards. Why? Because Nintendo wants up to date credit cards to buy their eShop games.
>tfw my birthday is in march and mummy will buy me a switch
RRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>being an adult means you have to spend money on the latest underpowered toy on the market even if you don't want to
No John you're the underage!
Got the special edition of BotW preordered from Gamestoop
Now I just gotta wait till Amazon has system preorders, or did I miss it
I too have tried to twist words to win an argument I was never a part of.
what I'm seeing online is that it's not the 300 bucks for the console, it's the fuckexpensive controllers loaded with TEGNOLOGY xx----dDDD
personally I have a lot of disposable income but I can understand people who don't being wary
and if they announce the games are 70 bucks (I don't think they will) these people will go into fucking orbit
Stupid.
They actually might be able to fuck up their best console idea yet if they do something like that.
PC/Switch master race
All ps4 and xbox user need to end it right now desu
>spend money you had to work for for s piece of shit
>spend money further on paid online to get to use it fully
Do you really have to ask?
I find it might kekful that people are taking this post as a "buy this console why not" rather than what it is which is "stop complaining about inexpensive things"
Nobody gives a shit if you buy it or not. Just stop pretending $300 is a lot of money in this world.
I have money and I bought it but its still overpriced and with few games
You have to consider that a large majority of Sup Forums are either A.) Poor college students that get money from their parents, or B.) NEETs who get neetbux, which isn't a whole lot
My birthday is March 3rd but I don't want it.
the fact that most Sup Forums users are lazy poorfs doesn't mean that 300$ is a lot
Yes, $300 is too much for the console maker that barely puts games out on their systems for the past two generations, with paid online.
Why pay $300 for unproven gaming console when it's releases years into the current gen, which has established libraries, as well as the rest of the console players that will actually populate the online matches
>Nvidia K1 for $200
>Nvidia Wireless controller with Google AI + headphone jack for $50
Now I have access to my Steam library on the go, can hook it up to my TV via HDMI, have the Nvidia store I can buy tailored games for it, as well as endless roms and emulators to play alongside all the Android games. And no paid online required.
Nintendo should have sold it for $200 - $250 range as a way to earn trust from people burnt by the short Wii U lifespan, on top of sticking out as a cheaper alternative to the competition, which is well established. The idea should have been to make up for the loss via paid online by engaging their average customers 2-3 years, and then they would have had an amazing system to offer.
As it is now, they just repeated last gen with overpricing the 3DS and Wii U, with no reason to buy either outside of "IT HAS NINTENDO ON IT!", which hasn't been a factor for ages as their core playerbase dwindles over the years
I think the main problem is that at that price point they should have included 2 sets of controllers. Both of them the 1/2 controllers so that you had the potential for 4-player stuff straight out of the box. That would have been a really good selling point, especially if they had a decent assortment of fun 4-player games from the get go that only needed the 1/2 controller to enjoy properly. If the console had had mario kart, some mini game collection similar to nintendoland, and perhaps even a mario party as launch titles combined with only needing the base set to do 4-player action then Nintendo would have been onto a winner.
To you and I yes
To poorfags who have never seen a paycheck, it is a lot
well thanks to HD rumble technology they are $50 a pop, no way they could have had 4
It's $370 if you want a usable controller.
I mean look at that fucking thing. Look at that D-pad.
>established libraries
Bloodborne is not an "established library."
PS4 has loads of Japanese flavored games, like Digimon, Persona 5, all kinds of actual 50-85% sales on old and current games, and as many multiplats as one can hope for in modern days
But hey, thanks for bumping the thread by shitposting to bitch about a single game, since the PS4 at least has a game on it at the moment, compared to the Switch's currently released games
Xbone has been coming with an extra controller at 200 for over a year now
Switch releases with BOTW. That immediately gives it a library on par with PS4's one game.
$300 is not expensive, it's just expensive for what you're getting. The monetary value of something isn't just the number; it's whether or not it's worth paying that number for that technology. The "you're poor" argument was used for the PS3 and the Xbox One when they were the most expensive systems of their generation. Now the Switch is coming at the most expensive console on the market it's equally as laughable. There always has to be one, don't take it so personally.
>Look at that D-pad.
You don't still believe the + is the d-pad, do you?
Oh, I guess the Wii U blows it the fuck out by having Smash AND Kart 8 by comparison, along with Breath of the Wild, and a Splatoon that's already out.
Switch sure is selling itself, when all those Wii Us are being liquidated at the moment to make way for the next shelf warmer. Meanwhile, Xbox One and PS4 have no problem rotating shelf space at retailers at any point in the year
>spending your money on any console at all
>not buying the latest macbook pro and iPhone
>not going to starbucks daily
its like you dont do selfies on an hourly basis
No, retard, the four action button on the left are the D-pad. It's atrocious.
>Switch releases with BOTW
>A game that's already out for a cheaper system
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHAAHAHAH!
>retards buying consoles for multiplats somehow means they have a library
Moving the goalposts, are we?
Nintolddler detected.
I had SNES up to Gamecube and even I think this thing is a disaster.
It is too much.
It's 300 dollars if you want to play nothing.
It's 375 if you want to play 1 game.
It's 375 + probably monthly payments if you want to play that game online.
Have more than 1 friend you want to play with? An extra 80 dollars.
I could buy it right now, but what's the point? I know nothing about the specifications or how much online is going to be...or features of online.
It would be a poor decision to buy it right now.
Also no one has said anything about smash and that's a huge mistake. Smash is the only reason the wii u made it passed 2015.
>buying consoles for multiplats
Well, yeah. That's what the majority of people do. Hate to break it to you, but the PC and Nintendo crowd are a huge minority and that's exactly why the Wii U flopped and exactly why the Switch will flop.
You used a multiplat as your argument about how strong the Switch library is, and now you're bitching about "multiplats" as a goal post moving argument.
Why is Sup Forums ovbsessed with a little kid console?
>tfw Birthday is in January
>Obsessing over a little kids console
Makes you think
Yes, and their online is atrocious.
Friendlists are pointless with Nintendo because it's "family friendly" so no party chat or lobby chat with randoms. Why the fuck would I pay for that shit?
This makes the Wii U look like a better purchasing decision right now.
You're awful at shilling bro. Switch is gonna flop if that's the best you can do. You're supposed to paint the product in a positive light instead of insulting prospective buyers.
$300 for a console that's as powerful as other consoles from over 10 years ago
But why the fuck aren't the pancakes melting the butter themselves? I don't get it. When I make pancakes, they're hot, so when I put butter on them, it melts. I don't need you to fuck some Columbian girl for me to keep my pancakes hot between the skillet and the table.
I mean, for fuck's sake. Doesn't anybody here know how cooking works?
Sucks fellow leaf. I dont even want this shit
That's funny because I'm flying back from Barranquilla the day it releases
And I pre-ordered the Switch
as a full time student with a wife and house, 300$ for a game system that's less powerful than the ones I have, and that costs more than all 3, is in fact too much.
80g a year(average), and this truly is too much
I'm starting to think Sup Forums is full of little kids.
>tfw only paid 37 canadian pesos for the Switch because of exploitable EB Games trade-in deals stacking
ebgames.ca
I'm betting it'll be corrected or taken down soon, so I'm glad I lined up outside of the store when I did.
OP, you seem to be confused.
It's not that it costs too much, it's that it's another gimmick console from a company that is completely out of touch.
Enjoy your HD rumble. I'm sure you'll have hours of fun guessing how many ice cubes are in your virtual glass.
"aw why you're just gonna wear those at home anyways... right user? it's not like you ever leave the house! hahaha"
Not going to lie, the paid online did not sit well with me. I already pay for PS4 and X1 online, but I get games that aren't 30 years old to play and I know my money is actually going into the servers.
Fuck and Splatoon 2 looks amazing, but it's the only thing I want. Granted I will need to get it eventually for MH5 most likely and Mario Odyssey looks fantastic, but fuck it looks like a horrible first year WiiU all over again where I play maybe 3 games on it.
What the hell I only got 20 for trading in smash a week ago
Or get a PS4 for 249 retard.
Handheld gaming market is contracting. We'll see how badly people want to play Nintendo games.
>this damage control
Also, don't forget to pay for your online. Prease understandu gaijin.
I believe these are your opinions.
And they are correct.
>full grown man buying nintendead
I'm not autistic...
Weak launch title
Weak hardware
Weak third party support
And ppl wonder y Nintendo's stock is so shit
