Switch Disappointment thread

What disappointed you the most about the system?

DOA

No launch lineup other that a Wii U game, paid online and everything being overly expensive.

t. falseflagging sonygger next

32 gigs of storage. no melee

too late

The hardware prices and lack of Monster Hunter mostly.

no hyrule warriors complete

Wasn't expecting anything more than some handheld shit you can plug into your TV and play Mario with, which it is, but the pricing of the console itself and all accessories and games was surprising and disappointing.

Only the paid online

Other consoles have it and nobody complained back then. Nothing wrong with this

>the Switch actually made the PS4 look like an attractive option to buy

Holy fucking shit.

>nobody complained back then

sure my boy, sure

32GB is plenty for patches/saves, Plus it's not like you can't buy a microSD card for dirt cheap now a days...Better then Sony's memory cards for Vita...WHY DID THEY EVER DO THAT.

No Pikmin
No Animal Crossing

Paid online service is a good thing. Remember,it is in our best interest for Nintendo to make lots of money for many years to come and we don't need online to potentially introduce unforeseen risks that will cripple the company. Nintendo shouldn't lose money on the proposition. Very risky but Nintendo is brave to want to do this when online services can cost so much money. We don't want to bankrupt Nintendo do we? Have faith. Nintendo knows what they're doing. With our support, Switch is going to practically print money.

i preordered fuck y'all

I

For me, all it needs is one 'big' launch title. Bomberman is cool but not enough to hold me out until Splatoon and Arms in the spring/summer and Mario in the winter.

The PS4 and Xbone have 500GB...

I think the defense force ran out of tactics, their handlers didnt write enough material for them. They didnt plan on having to go defcon 1 damge control, they thought they'd only be doing mop up duty.

I don't own home consoles other than a Wii and PS2

I blame Microsoft

Lack of games, specifically third party games.

Emphasised by EA, a huge company with a vast array of major AAA titles, having nothing to offer other than fucking FIFA.

Paid online
Underpowered
No games
2 hours of battery life
Xbox huge

Pii Poo 2.0

>paid online
>overpriced accessories
>not enough internal storage and no option to use external hard drives
>not enough third party titles shown
>not enough games in general
>pathetic attempts to appeal to casuals
Mario and Zelda look good, but if things keep up like this I might not buy one after all.

Paid online and no new tracks in MK8

paid online

I don't know if I want to pay a subscription fee for something I might use just a few times a year. The other times I'd be using it for singleplayer or couch co-op.

dissapointed, it wuz da sheeit, you gonna skyrim right mah niggga?

They decided to double down on gimmicks rather than avoid them.

you need to spend almost the price of another console to get the accessories you need to play regularly

not enough titles to warrant a purchase

this

This is a +18 site. Fuck off.

dumbass

and of course, shitty gimmicks once again

It's over lads it's over

says the nintendo fan

At least tge consoles had passable online

>hey you know the abortion that was wii u online
>you have to pay for it now

I dont know why nintendo thought to try it out during their dark ages of all times

everything.

This is Nintendo's Dreamcast. Mark my words. This is the death rattle.

The fact that it's literally a Wii U with Paid online and no backwards compatibility

I still can't get over how badly they fucked up

It's a handheld trying to be a console and it ends up failing at both.

Super Mario Odyssey isn't a launch title.
They also fucked up by not bundling 1 2 Switch in with every console, nobody with sense will waste money on that.

>tge

Was the dreamcast why Sega died? I thought everyone liked the Dreamcast.

>Plus it's not like you can't buy a microSD card for dirt cheap now a days

the max standard size for microsd is only 128GB though.

It offers nothing new. They could've done all these games on Wii U.

Same gameplay, same graphics. Why the fuck should I buy it?

>Horribly overpriced console at $300 with PS3-level hardware
>Paid online and the worst subscription service of them all
>Terrible launch line-up
>More gimmick bullshit thrown in
>Horrible overpriced accessories
>Real controller doesn't even come with the fucking console, the joycon controller is smaller than one of my hands
>PS4 and XB1 are superior AND cheaper. What the fuck?

Really though, another thing to consider is that as time goes on Nintendo hardware and games get MORE EXPENSIVE. Especially the games. Because Nintendo are a bunch of chink faggots who artificially lower their supply.

I can just wait another year and the PS4 will be $200 and probably have 5 good games for $20 each. Meanwhile, Wii U shit will be selling for $100 a piece.

Fuck right off.

The*

You know what i meant, dont nitpick

None of the games I want to play are launch games.

People forget this but it was actually a big success with a ton of great exclusives that was killed by the PS2.

Unfortunately Nintendo have so much money that it will take many more failures before they come to their senses.

>What disappointed you the most about the system?
Pay to play online.

>I thought everyone liked the Dreamcast.
not to most developers.
they all jumped shipped and worked on the ps2 instead

When they doubled down on that Amiibo garbage, I gave up.

Because youhave to install your games.

paid online
lackluster launch titles
shitty new ips

>Nintendo Switch
>Have to pay for online to talk to your friends on your smartphone

epic

They talked about Amiibo for 30 seconds at most.

I just want Nintendo to go bankrupt so all the skilled/actually valuable people like Aonuma and Miyamoto can move to another studio like Kojima for example, and then the corporate motherfuckers can be out on the street and bake on the pavement

>,it is in our best interest for Nintendo to make lots of money for many years to come

Holy fucking shit, please be a false flag

Nothing. I'm glad that Bomberman is coming back.

The Dreamcast was actually decently popular, but it released when Sega was already in deep shit with no way out. The real problem were the trashy add-ons for the Genesis and the Saturn.

Paid online. They just copped out.

>$300
It's not personally too expensive, but I think it's too expensive to sell well. And since how well the system sells will determine if support gets cut prematurely again like it did for Wii U, it's really frustrating that they priced it this high. It's not going to work out, hopefully this time they'll be smart enough to slash prices at least instead of sticking at it like they did with Wii U
>$70 pro controller, and generally expensive accessories
I was expecting the pro to be sold separately, but $70 is just plain extortion. The Switch will have the most expensive controllers ever sold, and you'll have to buy a charging grip just to be able to charge while playing on TV
>5 launch games
Looking forward to BotW but this is utterly ridiculous
>Really nothing in 2017 except Mario and Zelda
Splatoon looks like DLC that the original Splatoon should have got. Xenoblade 2 looks pretty good but there's no way in hell it won't be delayed. Add in a couple Wii U ports and Skyrim and all you have is Mario Odyssey (assuming no delay) and BotW. It's a bleak start

I really don't know. I could easily see this failing, it's worse than the Wii U was in many aspects

Nintendo is still too stubborn to go third party after unavoidable crash of this shitty platform.

>Paid online
The reason why I won't buy it. Unless it's MAX. 30€ per year.
>No specs
I bet this means it's the old Tegra X1.
>Price
Controllers and other shit is already expensive in the US, but even more so in Europe where they use the same price just in €.

The term is "killed their system"

>that it will take many more failures before they come to their senses.

Why do Nintendrones keep spouting this meme? Do you know how businesses work?

A business won't fuck up until it's too late before they jump ship. They will give it a few shots and if they see it isn't working, they are gone.

Had the Wii not been such a surprise hit, Nintendo wouldn't be making consoles. The Switch (and maybe 1 more other consoles) are likely their last attempts at the console market.

If they flop then they will jump ship and try something different

Yeah, and you pay $300 for 32GB on the switch .What a good deal!

Go back to work Mr. Miyamoto

the ps2 reveal killed it

with its promise of toy story level graphics and the emotion engine buzz words

Yeah, that's 30 seconds they could've used for vidya. Amiibo is cancer and aids combined.

Someone needs to tell Nintendo that the Video Game Crash of the 80's is over, retailers will stock Nintendo stuff whether or not they do stupid toy shit.

They also use outdated disk based storage and force you to install your games completely on your hard drive before you can play them.

The games are literally their own container. They don't need hard drive space, because it never needs to transfer data to the hard drive.

The 3DS and its games are literally the only good thing coming out of Nintendo right now

Paid online

Funny thing is people bitched and whined when Nintendo's online was free. Every game on the Wii, DS, Wii U and 3DS runs fine online except for Brawl.

>ONE (1) launch game
>paid online
>accessories beyond overpriced
>paid online
>shit battery life
>voice chat only from your fucking cell phone
>paid online

Sega still could have survived if they didn't fuck up so much before. The GameCube was a failure too compared to the PS2, but Nintendo is still around.

>The games are literally their own container. They don't need hard drive space, because it never needs to transfer data to the hard drive.
Modern games have like 50gb of completely uncompressed textures and audio, if they didn't force installs load times would be massive. Of course this is entirely the fault of the devs for not giving a shit and just dumping everything on the disc but it's still a problem.

paid online

it could build a strong library eventually but i won't pay for online so it doesn't matter.

fuck microsoft for starting this trend, fuck sony for continuing it and fuck nintendo for adopting it

Are you a retard?

Paid online. Fuck that.

I don't need online, but suppose an exclusive From game comes out. Supposed I have Switch. Do I jsut buy it and play? No, I have to subscribe to some shit. I didn't want to bother with that garbage when MS did it, I wanted even less when Sony did, and now I sure as fuck am not going to do it for Mario fucking Kart and some new unplayable SSb travesty.

>Every game on the

Stopped reading there

Suprisingly, 3DS's online is okay, but the wii u's online was a fucking travesty

And the PS4 is currently experiencing success that exceeds the PS2

basically by default since Xbone is a noncontender and WiiU is dead, but still

>nobody complained back then

Maybe for Xbox since consolefags didn't know any better, but people definitely complained when Sony did it.

Enjoy your 0 games dipshit

And? You don't think SD cards can't EASILY get up to 50gigs?

lol

alright ok, just someone explain this to me.
Yeah yeah >one launch titles, but honestly
WHY isn't MK8D a launch title?!?

it just makes perfect sense to strike that balance of offering a "home gaming experience" with Zelda, and offering a "handheld travel gaming experience" with MK8D.

it just speaks for itself "now you can race in one of the best selling WiiU games of all time, anytime and anywhere with new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!"

Quads for truth.

>all these poorfags complaining about paid online
You honestly deserve to die if you cannot afford $5 a month

You've just described everything Nintendo makes.

>400$ in Canada

I'm out.

>but people definitely complained when Sony did it.

Now that is completely false, sony went with the no online authentication thing and everyone went wild . They slipped in the paid online stuff and nobody cared.

>delay your new console from holiday season to march to bolster the launch lineup
>launch lineup is 5 games, only 1 of which is worth shit
What in the literal fuck?
Does this basically confirm that BotW went through development hell? I'm uneasy about this now

If Switch had 50gb physical games it would also have to force installs to avoid long load times.

They could also pay for better hardware but you should know better than to expect that from Nintendo.

Paid online, and controllers being expensive. Plus the right joycon looks uncomfortable

But you can still buy the Wii U remasters for the low, low price of just $60 goyim.

gimmicks. I just want nintendo to make a normal fucking system, not some wacky weird one with a catch
like FUCK
NO MORE STUPID SHIT LIKE A TOUUCH SCREEN ON THE CONTROLLER
OR MOTION CONTROLS
oR A SCREEN ON THE CONSOLE
IT"S NOT HARD FOR FUCK'S SAKE

>I'm uneasy about this now

Why? it looks amazing at a crisp 900p docked and maybe 60 fps if staring at the ground

Paid online. Still no voice chat or party system on the console, have to download their app for those things. Y

The opposite.
I have barely time to play becuase I am not a pathetic NEET and I am not going to pay for something I barely use.

Why is it 32GB, I see PS4 and Xbox one with 500 and even 1TB for around the same price and nintendo comes up with 32GB?!

How outdated are they thinking this is alot?

>drop all those fucking shovelware features
>discard gimmick controllers and go back to regular controllers ala gamecube
>release sonic adventure 3 as a launch title
>have online features so you can do multiplayer and chao race/battles over the internet
>have no paid online

That's it

That's all they had to do

And this generation would have literally been theirs.

But no, apparently any fucking retard can become a corporate executive, or gooks are just inherently autistic because i would have been able to make better decisions at age 9

Holy fucking shit
