Where is the d-pad?
Nintendo Switch D-pad

to be honest, I prefer 4 buttons to a d-pad. That way you can press up and down at the same time, if you need to for some reason.
It's up in the top right corner, retard.
up and to the left of X
Give me $70 and I'll tell you ;-)
>Ethernet port $30
What? You can get a decent one for below 10$
On the Pro controller, just $70.
But it won't have the switch logo, please understand
Scorpio is going to destroy both these consoles.
There aren't any because the joycons need to be identical in function when split apart.
Unless I'm mistaken; the reason there's no d-pad is for symmetrical joycons in split-screen social play?
It's hard to believe Nintendo are launching a system with no d-pad (unless you stump up the cash)
At the least this segregates the player base
Why would an indie developer, or anyone making 2D games, think the Switch is appealing? They're relying on enough people spunking the money on a pro controller
And if the Switch is used in portable mode, this would necessitate a second purchase - a left joycon with the requisite d-pad
>red dot = checkmark
who designed this shit image
I really want to hold this controller and find out what it's actually like. It looks like it will feel terrible with the joysticks straight above and below the buttons but I'm not sure.
No games
The red dot also sometimes means "Not Applicable" instead of working as a checkmark.
Designer needs to kill themself
They're going to showcase it all at one time during E3.
right here
They killed it for another fucking gimmick. Enjoy Wii Sports 3: NintendoLand 2. There will be 5 games max that will make meaningful use of the joycon gimmick, just like the Wii/U
>nintendrones before switch
Hahaha fags we have the best dpad. Sony and Microsoft cannot even compete Muahahahaha.
>nintendobabies after switch
Well modern games do not even need a dpad. I unironically support Nintendo shitting in my mouth.

scroll down
It's based on official Switch lists.
So I guess you guys should go kill Nintendo's webdesigners
So they can all get cancelled 2 years afterwards like Fable Legends, Phantom Dust, Scalebound, etc?
Huh?
I did not at all have a problem with the red dots. I have a massive problem with using red dots as both "checkmarks" AND "Not Applicable" markers
Do you understand now?
Nintendo did not do that, the chart above did. And it is fucking retarded.
No it doesn't. You nintendrones are reaching for anything.
>one player gets a whole d-pad
>the other player only gets half a d-pad on his half a controller
Wait what?
First off I'm not "reaching" for anything, just simply insulting the design of this chart Look again dumbass.
The red dot is clearly a checkmark for "Paid Online" for example.
What about for "Non square-shaped controller with an actual D-pad"?
So for Nintendo it's $70, and for Sony it's "check"?
No, it's "Not Applicable", and the chart uses red dots for a check and for an N/A.
Understand now, kid?
You are fucking retarded. Sony's does come with a non square shaped controller with an actual D-pad, that's why it's marked off as such. It's not N/A, because it accurately fits the criteria for a mark.
You are a fucking retard with brain damages.
Jeez, I guess I got tricked by the highly sarcastic nature of the chart. I figured there is no point pointing out the NORMAL controller of the PS4... Switch is different, needing an extra controller can't be compared...
Anyways if you are going to compare it thought for PS4 it is extremely obvious that you need to put the PRICE there, not a "red check dot".
$70 for one controller, and.... "check" for the other? Give the fucking price for BOTH not ONE if you are gonna compare.
It doesn't need a price because it comes with the system.
You are a literal fucking retard. Just kill your self.
>it is extremely obvious that you need to put the PRICE there, not a "red check dot".
But the price IS included, right there on top, within that $299 pricetag with the console. That's the whole point you dense motherfucker.
what a fucking blunder. so there's the left and right joy cons, there's the pro controller, there's the plain plastic holder, there's the charging plastic holder, and there's the two attachable rails to make the joy cons usable on their own
any other pieces to this mess of a controller setup? most parents are too fucking dumb to even know what a console is beyond "nintendo". good luck to any kid who needs to convince his parents to buy an adapter to hook up the console online, pay a subscription fee and get all the fucking gadgets to actually play games
