Is there footage comparing the two versions? Because I find it hard to believe the Wii U version is inferior when the Switch isn't an improvement in hardware in any way on top of being waggle trash all over again.

The WiiU is the perfect Zelda machine. You get the best version of 2 games, the newest game, and you can download almost all of the old games.

I bought the Wii U for Bayonetta 2. I ended up also getting Smash Bros, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, Captain Toad, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, The Wonderful 101, Mario 3D World, Hyrule Warriors, Pikmin 3 and a few other games.

Not having a Zelda game doesn't mean much to me, what matters most is that it has fun games. I've easily put enough hours into the system to justify the purchase.

You can play it in 4:3 if you want, or you can disable the UI which looks great, or you can keep the UI centered while still rendering in 16:9, or you can play WWHD.

I received one as a gift for my birthday and I'm still waiting for Zelda U to come out. Definitely salty and not supporting Nintendo for this shit. I hope it crashes and burns.

The paywall of the switch and shitty voice acting in BotW are too much. I might still pick it up for the Wii u but doubtful.
