Recently I blew a shit ton of money on a gaming PC ($3000) however it feels like it's wasn't worth it? I've spent hours on the Steam and GoG pages trying to find anything good but it's full of half assed games, indies and faulty AAA games, I thought PC was the leader invideogames exclusives?. Not only that but I keep struggling with PC ports because they're all obviously designed for consoles and run like crap besides having no real news features besides 4K.
So basically I've been playing Overwatch and VNs because I got nothing else to do.
Help me, I'll have to sell somethings to survive

It was a pre-built rig that's extremely powerful, I had geek squad install it and make sure it runs properly and paid a good bit extra for them to defragment and optimize as well as install top of the line antivirus.
Now the real problem is the lack of games, what am I even supposed to play on this paperweight of a machine?.

Bro don't just be a gamer if you've built a PC to this extent. You should be playing exclusively VR games if you've bought the right hardware. Hell, model animate and render entire movies/game assets on your computer THROUGH VR. Can you imagine the power of a PC that allows you to use a VR workstation which literally enables you to draw with HTC Vive controllers and craft everything right in front of your very eyes in 3D? Like you're literally sculpting something out of thin air...that would be cool as shit.

You're going to cut that shit out right now. Steam and GoG are fundementally useless 99% of the time.
GoG is good if you can't pirate.
And steam is never good.
Browsing pages of garbage is not how you get good pc games. To get good pc games you need to ask for recommendations. You'll get some that you like, some that you don't, but over time you'll craft yourself a nice comfy space where you can play exactly what fits your personality, and there will be thousands of games to chose from in every genre.
Don't play casual modern trash like mmos and overwatch and vns, these are not good games, they are for farmers farming farm, this is not fun, these schrodinger box games pat the player on the head every time they do something right and pretend they never do anything wrong, ignore that trash, dota, lol, tf2, cs:go, all of it.
Stick to GOOD GAMES.
Here's a list to get you started, I suggest picking up one game out of each genre.
Red alert 2 is a good place to start.

You'll get to enjoy about 20 minutes of Witcher 3 before you start seeing how badly it plays. All of the textures and framerate in the world won't change that. You spent 3k for that.
