Why can't there be more games like this? The concept was brilliant. They did a fine job too by sometimes not having any music at all, instead having sounds of nature. You really felt like you were there with your companion in a weird world, but nevertheless a cozy world and you had to rebuilt an entire city and care for your pal like you were his parent.

3 was better.
N0 > DW1 > Re:Digi
Like seriously if you liked 1 then Next 0rder will make you cum buckets
I hear people citing monster rancher as competition to digimon world a lot, but I've never played, so I can't say for sure.
3 was in about equal to 1. Yes it had far more content, but the mindless grinding and random encounters were bitter. In 1 you could dodge enemies. Also a lot of backtracking. Just 1 fucking word: 8lue card.
Did that guy running a Digimon site finish his translation playthrough of the original Japanese, noting where the dialogue diverged or was simply gibberish in Eng?
3 would be ok if it weren't for the random encounters, terrible dungeons, and migraine inducing 10 fps battle sequences.
Do I start off with a rundown, shit couple of shacks and turn it into a comfy, brimming town with lots of Digimon running shops and strolling around?
I loved that aspect of DW1 so much. Re: Digi already having a town in place and just adding Digimon standing in certain places made me sad since that aspect seemed much less fun.
I got every medal for DW1 recently.
I can't bear to play it without emulation speedup, but it's lots of fun when you know what you're doing plus there's finally good guides to make sense of how evolution works.
Yep. On a much larger scale
Start of the game...
Late game
Looks nice, not sure if I will buy a new console just for that game though.
I really wish It would exist for PC. Just the fact that Re:digi was perfectly emulated for PC and was almost a 1:1 copy of DW1 made me very happy. They almost perfected 3DS, my only hope is to wait for a PSVita Emulator.
New order is coming out soon just get that.
>tfw printing the massive sixty-plus page evolution guides for this game as a kid
I actually kinda miss the old game guides where it was all a raw text document some passionate fans cooked up with the big ASCII art logos for their team at the top.
>had a prima guide for the game
>at least 20% of the info was faulty
>still an immense help
Then again when I was a kid I just fucking loved strategy guides so much. I just liked all the art and maps
I really enjoyed the sandbox aspect of the game. so much stuff to find.
I've actually lost interest in them as I got older. I kinda view them as cheating now. I'll only look up something if I absolutely have to since I feel like using the strategy guide spoils the experience for myself. The art and stuff is nice in the bigger hardcover guides but if the studio publishes an artbook I'd rather have that.
You're gonna enjoy your generic Digimon RPG and you will like it!
Seems like guide books were one of the only ways to access official art back then. I owned 3 different OoT guides, since I kept getting em as gifts. One was mostly useless, but had excellent art. Maybe it was Brady Games or something. Was great for drawing.
>there will never be a Digimon game that has different story routes depending on how you care for your Digimon
>you will never witness a underdog tamer route if you make care mistakes with your first Digimon
>you will never have a protag say "Just because we made some mistakes in our child form and grew up into screwed up adults doesn't mean we can't change!"
check it out. my metal greymon.
>You can't use the PS4 touchpad to pet your digimon
WHY?
It looks sick lol
>Pokemon
Is he number 1?
