Alright. The only Link this can be has to be a Zelda game where a Bigass tree existed that helped Link

BotW Link is either:

OoT Link (Maybe Link changed his appearance out of depression or some shit from losing Navi which is why he looks nothing like he did in the future parts of OoT. Also, Deku Tree Sprout)

WW Link (GDT was theorized to be the sprout from OoT. Also, Koroks)

I was gonna say it could also be ALttP/Oracle/Awakening Link because of the Maku Tree, however, Oracle of Seasons does not take place in Hyrule

Any other Zelda games that feature a talking tree in Hyrule?

Or you're just autistic and didn't think of the fact that the Deku Tree likely just knew this Link in the backstory before he went into hibernation and it doesn't mean it happened in another game.

Who knows. It's too early to speculate

youtu.be/zw47_q9wbBE?t=2m11s

then what the fuck is that at 2:11 you faggot

Yup, you're definitely autistic if this is too hard for you to understand.

Except BoTW Link looks fucking nothing like OoT Link; doesn't even have a similar-sounding voice and isn't even left-handed.

It clearly isn't WW Link either.

This is a new Link, drop your babbies first game nostalgia hopes and get over it.

OP, I usually get buttmad at people who misuse the term autism, since I see those shitposters as the blight of humanity.

But bro. He's right. What's so hard for you to understand.

You were doing great. You made the best Zelda thread I've ever seen on Sup Forums, at least this year. Parsing what we know so far, organizing it into digestable paragraphs, and most of all, the restraint to keep it succinct. That takes talent.

Don't shit the bed now.

SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SHOW ME THE PORN FOR THE NEW FISHTITS ALREADY

Oracle of Seasons

OP here, I actually misread his reply thinking he said that the Deku Tree just knew *about* him before going into hibernation. That's why I replied with the line he says about him having actually known him, but yeah, after re-reading the reply, I saw what he was getting at

It's probably a dude.

DOES THIS LOOK LIKE THE FACE OF A MAN TO YOU

I didn't even see the koroks the first time

The Link sized one is pretty obviuosly a girl.

The giant one seems to be a guy.
It may be directly referencing the Zora King and Ruto.

>Code a female looking wireframe and skin
>Call it guy
It's a Japanese game user. Don't get your hopes up.

>They finally have colors to tell them apart

Their fucking designs in TP used to confuse me and didn't know which were female.. if there were any females at all

>bring up the appearance for the hero of time as a reason it isn't him
>don't say anything about the appearance of that noodle armed faggot from ww

The nigger didn't even have blue eyes while the hero of time did

As for the hair, it is called a haircut. Given that there are different hairstyles available in the game this doesn't seem implausible to me

would you?

Or its none of this shit and what happened 100 years ago is brand new shit we don't know about yet.

or it could just be some weird situational offshoot of one of the games, like the fallen hero timeline ended up being. like link looses in wind waker or some weird shit like that.

No, the zora king can be seen in the background (to the right, only his arm visible) of the scene with hammerhead shaking link's hand. The king is blue, even bigger than hammerhead, and wearing a cape

I have and would enter that tree with full force

Pretty sure females were pinkish in TP as well.

Holy fuck, you're right, there's a huge motherfucker there.

I guess big red is gonna be either Ruto 2's father or some kind of Zora top warrior.

Or maybe it IS the king and the thing behind them is JabuJabu 2.0

OP here, I didn't say that it couldn't be OoT Link cause of appearances. I gave a reason as to why he may not look like he did in future OoT. Also cause in OoT he just aged rather than go through life normally (Which seemed like he was gonna have a shit life to live)

And Wind Waker Link having black eyes, I think it's just an art decision. the artwork of WW has almost, if not all, human characters with black eyes. In game though, Tetra has blue tinted eyes, which is weird compared to her artwork

Maybe, but I still think he is the king. Hammerhead is probably a warrior that will help you like Falco and (presumably) a goron and a gerudo (probably the ones shown).

You want me to really blow your mind? You remember that "Utah" shot from the beyond the plateau footage? The one where Link skydives by the wood bridge? In the background, to the left, you can see the giant camel mech seen in the most recent trailer.

youtube.com/watch?v=dar1t_L2wBk

go to 24:53 right before the screen fades to black

It's fucking huge

Holy shit

>enter the tree
>farore is inside
I-is she pregnant?

It's almost endearing how Nintendo fans legit believe Zelda games are all connected and have some sort of deep story/lore.

Is your mom after last night, faggot?

>remembering the time nintendo made a game where a tree wanted to fuck link

Holy fuck

I'm worried there's gonna be some big stupid reveal that fucks up the lore, which is what that open your eyes waking up in a tech crypt shit seems to be implying. Like they're all the same Link or they're all clones of the same Link or something.

Damn, that thing is fucking massive

Like almost intimidating just due to scale

That has to be bigger than the death mountain thing right?

God damn that is fucking huge. Props to whoever spotted that

The death mountain thing is probably a little fatter but also a little over half as tall

I wouldn't call it deep, but they haven't exactly hidden that the main games are connected. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess reference Ocarina of Time directly.

y-you too

Oricle of seasons, dude.

>mfw the speculated elephant is real
>mfw it is even bigger than the camel
>mfw its underwater

I just noticed he has a shark for a head.

Are you fucking retarded?

I saw that his had fins and tails like in Zoras in previous games, but not that it was literally a fucking shark.

No need to be mean user.

Will the green clothes be in this game?

>yfw you can control the elephant
>yfw you can stomp on bokoblin fucking shits all day long

You know what I really want but I know will never happen? Fucking transformation masks. Imagine zooming around hyrule as a goron, ramping off mountains and steam rolling niggers left and right. Or zora swimming into the depths of the ocean

I think this game had a lot of opportunity for sci-fi.

>Link from Ocarina of time died or whatever
>odd spaceship/whatever pod was keeping current link was a tool used to replicate Link most likely to have him keep on as an adventurer and protect hyrule if needed
>except, being a replication, he was falsely created, thus he isn't the actual Link but also is.
>Ganon, who wasn't fully ready to be reincarnated yet, comes back without much of a form (via black clouds of billowing smoke that hover over an ominous castle).
>Zelda is either actually Zelda, was maybe purposefully reincarnated while Link wasn't, or isn't Zelda at all but assumes that role.
>perhaps this is an age where none of the three are meant to be reincarnated but we have a princess figure that assumes the role of Zelda and is, by all other means, Zelda. A Lingering presence of Ganon that was left undefeated. And Link who is falsely reincarnated, or rather, artifically created to face the left over of Ganon.
>given its ties to Oot, it's probably the deku baby from Oot that's now the new deku tree.

That's what I got from the trailer anyway.

So far, it looks like each region in the overworld will have some sort of open-world, Shadow of The Colossus guardian-styled battle.

>Gerudo desert will get the giant tank-camel

>Death mountain gets the giant lava-lizard (pic related)

>the giant mechanical flying bird fortress will probably be corrupted by Calamity Ganon, becoming a boss fight as well for the jungle region

Any guesses as to what the other regions will get?
Obvious Lake Hylia/Zora's Domain will get some sort of giant aquatic themed boss battle, but I'm curious what the snow or forest regions will have.

There's four huge mechs, one in each corner. The last one is an elephant. It is either in a jungle or the ocean and will be in the south east.

Source: tapestry in collectors edition

>Source: tapestry in collectors edition

Pic or source?

Google it you lazy fucking nigger

what if BotW is a new, 4th branch in the timeline?

is this it?

yeah

...

>Dragon in the center that kind of looks like Calamity Ganon

I guess the the giant mecha construct surrounding Hyrule Castle will turn out to be a guardian and the last one that the Calamity Ganon possesses?

I wonder what the men on reding the animals represent? Maybe they represent a type of warrior-guardian?

So this can tell us how many guardians there are as well

What are the figures that are next to the guardians, roughly the same size, but faded and of a lesser quantity

Also interesting is that there are 7 swords in the picture. Maybe this is indicative of 7 items needed to restore the master sword?

My guess is that they function as a pilot/guardian of the mechs and will serve as a fight capping what is a dungeon esque portion of disabling the mech from within.

I've heard people saying that the mechs will be the dungeons but I don't think so. Rather I think the mechs will be like overworld bosses and shrines hopped on steroids

Curious that there's only 4 of them.

One shot had Calamity Ganon firing off wierd balls of evil, and there were 3 visible on screen, but they seemed to be going out in a cicle, so presumably there were 6 or more total.

I thought that would be a pointer to the main dungeons.
There's gotta be more major things than just these 4 giants.

We really haven't seen anything about the true dungeons where there will likely be sage shit (like the new characters we saw) involved.

>curious that there's only 4 of them.

I agree, it's also leaving me worried.

If we only have 4 major dungeons and 4 major SoTC-styled bosses, then I'll be pissed as shit considering that this game had the longest de=evelopment process of any other Zelda game, sans OoT (which actually managed to deliver in terms of content.)

they've stated several times that the dungeons are going to be much longer
made they only made 4 to compensate
reminder that Majora's Mask only has 5 real dungeons but tons of other things to do to fill up time

>the dungeons are going to be much longer
made they only made 4 to compensate

Compensation my ass.
I can already sense that the shrines are going to be copy-pasted mini-game collectathon grotto shit that will become repetitive after a while.

There's no excuse for a Zelda game with a 5+ dev year to have only 4 dungeons. NONE. That's just outright fucking incompetency.

Fucking dropped like a rock unless if it's disproven otherwise.

you weren't gonna play it anyway, Tyrone
quit your steaming

Wait, so are we gonna go around killing the guardians to unlock whatevers keeping Calamity Jane locked up in Hyrule castle so we can go kill it?

Because I see that going very wrong.

Aonuma did say that we wanted a dungeon as big as hyrule field in oot which I don't think can be accomplished in the mechs, regardless of how big they are. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a large dungeon or similar structure in each region.

Also, the shrines, from what has been shown, all have unique physics based puzzles.

What if this is a Link reincarnation resulting from the defeat timeline, not quite OoT Link mind you, and the game leads into the Sealing War that prefaces Link to the Past? The Zora are certainly looking more fish-like than normal.

Hey
What if
The giant monsters Were also dungeons themselves?

We're thinking they're the bosses for the dungeons, but what if they're not? What if there's four actual, more traditional dungeons, and then the giant monsters are SO fucking massive that they could also have self-contained dungeons inside of them? It would explain why they're all mechanical in nature; this game obviously has a techno-magic thing going on, and we've seen a lot of puzzle rooms that involve manipulating gears and shit. Crawling outside of them SOTC style is only half of it. The rest of it is going inside and dismantling them.

>Crawling outside of them SOTC style is only half of it. The rest of it is going inside and dismantling them.

This is the most likely scenario.
It'll be amazingly fun if true.

We have seen barely any water gameplay. Hell link can't even swim without being limited by the fucking stamina meter.
What if they didn't actually include any underwater shit?

Underwater has a very infamous history in the 3D Zelda games besides the Zora transformation in Majora's Mask, to be honest.
I can imagine that stamina bar increases or special diving equipment would allow you more water access.

can someone post more pics of the mechs in game?

So this confirms this pre-e3 2016 leak of only 4 main dungeons?

maybe they are the main dungeons, but you still need to do the shrines and shit to get everything to complete them. i'm actually okay with the game having a low number of main dungeons if there actually are things to do between them

I want porn of Link taking both of that Zora's giant shark dicks.

>rusted sword in trailer
>ruins of hyrule castle in trailer
>end of trailer shows a fully intact hyrule castle
>spider things running around
>trailer also shows aged and worn spider things in grass
>its time i tell you what happened 100 years ago

Ok so this is a self contained game with link and zelda in the beginning doing some shit or whatever and then failing hence the tears and then link goes in a coma for some reason then the trailer shows link waking up at the very end we also have another trailer of link in a tub of weird liquid and waking up.

Pretty much the story lads. Sorry.

Can't be certain there will be a ton of extra stuff with minor amount of main dungeons like MM had. Need to actually see village interactions and what you can do with people.

I hope shrines won't be required, doing 100 shrines that last 5-15 minutes seem boring as fuck.

Capcom made the Oracles games

Almost every Zelda game is self-contained, even if certain ones have direct ties in some ways (1 to 2, Link to the Past to Link's Awakening to Oracles and technically to Link Between Worlds, Phantom Hourglass to Spirit Tracks). Where they fall on the timeline is still pretty loose and Nintendo cares about making the games first, fitting in 'logically' with the timeline being at best an absent thought in the back of their mind.

wrong

wasn't hyrule faggot

I will kill myself.

>code
>a wireframe and skin

consoleniggers, everyone

More importantly, what's with the flower at 2:17?
youtu.be/zw47_q9wbBE?t=136

It's the same one that appears in the logo.

Just in the trailer we can already see some references to other games, like this reference to skyward sword. Just like how skyward sword tried to tie every game together with the cycle stuff I think botw will push this even further being the first mainline game in 6 years.

>being this stupid

Everything on a computer or similar device is written in code, fuck off

Maybe these grow from the korok seeds?

There was also a giant skeleton in the first trailer

I mean, this game is practically referencing them all. The original Legend of Zelda (big time), the Rito and Koroks from Wind Waker, the Skyward Sword inferences, Link to the Past with the Master Sword in a forest, and so forth.

It's like it's combining elements of almost all the mainline games of the past for some reason.

Nah, we're gonna go around UNCORRUPTING the Guardians and then four of our friends (Gerudo loli for camel, shark Zora for elephant, HERE IT COMES Goron for lizard and That ain't Falco for bird) are gonna ride them to help us in the final battle. You can attempt the final boss at any time as soon as you can reach Hyrule Castle, but shit's almost impossible without the Guardians' help.

>more Hylia bullshit

WAIT HOLD ON
youtu.be/zw47_q9wbBE?t=147
IS THIS A DUNGEON INSIDE ONE OF THE MECHANICLA MONSTERS?

>except, being a replication, he was falsely created, thus he isn't the actual Link but also is.

That would explain Link's "amnesia" after "waking up" in the future and other things, such as the purpose and potential theories surrounding the spirit orbs.

>Zelda is either actually Zelda, was maybe purposefully reincarnated while Link wasn't, or isn't Zelda at all but assumes that role.

I have a strong feeling that all of the scenes involving Zelda take place in the past. The Zelda in the future/current time is trapped in that castle, and is using some means to preserve herself while sealing Ganon. If you notice in a few of the scenes in the new trailer, Zelda has Sheikah slate - not Link. But thanks to the E3 footage, we know that Zelda communicates to Link through the Sheikah slate as well as telepathically.

>Ganon, who wasn't fully ready to be reincarnated yet, comes back without much of a form (via black clouds of billowing smoke that hover over an ominous castle).

In regards to the sci-fi theme, I've heard some theories suggest that Calamity Ganon is now akin to a sort of magitech super-virus since he's fully capable of hacking into the guardians for his own means.

So basically I also agree that the game might take a sci-fi approach with its plot twists. Ganon is now something akin to Skynet, Link is now akin to clone or replicant, and Zelda now using artificial means to preserve herself (maybe she transferred her soul and mind into a sort of AI and is able to inhibit the good/blue Sheikah tech we've seen, such as the tablet?)

>these titans are the main dungeons themselves, not the bosses

SS link also had contact with the Deku Tree. He planted the seed. Remember?

Also SS Link is righthanded.

How do you think they could integrate majoras mask.

Someone in another thread said that it was a lily and that lilies symbolize death and rebirth. Also something about the lily sharing the same color scheme as Link, including hair and eye color.

shut the frick of dumbass

>its okay when nintendo reuses assets!

Can't be SS Link as the Hyrule Castle incorporates elements from OoT and TP, while there are also River Zora from the 2D games and Rito (Evolved Zora) from WW.

Its almost likely a timeline merger.

Happy Mask Salesman secret superboss.

Way back when MM3D was released, there was this comedy mii interview released with the Happy Mask Salesman. The interview asked if we'd see him in future Zelda games and he strongly implied that he'd make an appearance in BoTW.
