Switch has only two real problems:

Switch has only two real problems:
-PAID ONLINE
-Only 1 Launch game

Remember when Microsoft removed their "only online" policy when everybody complained? Maybe if everybody complains about paid online they fix it.

Bomberman R and Zelda are both good launch titles.

N64 only had Pilotwings 64 and Mario 64.

They will fix it when they realize nobody is playing Splatoon 2 online on their servers except rich fags.

What are they expecting?!
That normalwage parents pay money do their children Play Splatoon and Mario Kart ?!

Nintendo is dead. Say goodbye.

And Mario64 was exclusive and one of the best games of all time.

If they're trying to have a real online infrastructure, paid online is a way to do it.
Maintaining a server farm isn't free, you know. I'm not glad about the change but I can understand its necessity if they're trying to shift their business practice.

If they make it worth it, I could pay for online. We will have to wait and see.

I wish that were the case, but I'm going to prepare for disappointment when a ton of people shell out money for online and justify nintendo's bullshit.
If the switch even successful that is.

>N64 only had Pilotwings 64 and Mario 64.

>Only

Pilotwings 64 is as good as Mario 64.
Great replay value, fun multiplayer.

The Switch has only Zelda,
Bomberman is not as good as Pilotwings.

also:
-Price
-Peripheral mess (also price)

Online payers will get exclusive fun content that will make it worth it.

>If they're trying to have a real online infrastructure, paid online is a way to do it
How come every service on PC is free despite this? Nintendo's trash services will never compare to Steam but still cost annually.

In the end, it's just a fucking peer-to-peer connection for most games. Stop defending it you fucking drone.

they're not launching it until later in the year so if enough people bitch about it who knows, they might change their mind. i don't see what the point of having paid online is if they're not going to have a decent infrastructure, and with their track record we don't know anything about what they're offering yet so that's probably what has most people fussing. it's shitty that i even have to pay for online in the first place but everybody adopted that cancerous practice now

And that it's slightly overpriced for the hardware and competitor offerings...

Also:
>accessories overpriced as hell
>Controllers cannot be charged unless hooked up to the screen... strangely limiting TV time to a battery limit
>Cannot be charged using the stand without an accessory..

This thing is in massive trouble, user.

the switch aint got no gaems

>but everybody adopted that cancerous practice now
It will never get adopted on PC, which is why PC gaming is growing and console market is shrinking.

Pilotwings is a 10/10 game
Mario 64 was n64 exclusive

console gamers have been conditioned to accept paid online over the years to the point where they even defend it with muh free games. it's a done deal at this point.

They won't change it. The reason none of the consoles change it is that even though most people don't pay for it... it's completely free money.

Yeah, I said it. They don't lose any money offering online. The costs are easily paid for by Ads on the store, sales from the online store, and licensing fees from publishers going into their pocket.

So as far as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are concerned there is no loss, even if only 5% of players pay. It's all net profit for them.

The Wii only had a Twilight Princess port at launch and nobody complains about that

well, don't forget, the whole paid only system is so far a mess anyway.
>needs a smartphone, for voicechat
>you get a free NES and/or SNES each month, but you can only play them at this month for free
at least, they added online multiplayer to the VC games...

>only launch game is also available for the WiiU

you can't make this shit up, switch will flop so hard

>every service
A majority of MMOs without ingame microtransactions implement a subscription system, because the simple selling price of the game may not be able to offset the infrastructure cost.
This is on a case by case basis of course, but if we're talking about a console maker providing service accross the world it might be necessary.

It had Wii Sports and Wii Play which were fucking fun as fuck at the time they came out.

1,2Switch is SHIT compared to wii Sports

>Getting mad at what someone else prefers
Ladies and gentlemen: white people.

You are completely right in that is how console manufacturers see it. The flaw in their thinking, however, is that they are pushing people towards things that do have free online. So, PC and mobile games. These sort of schemes show short-sighted thinking.

>Bomberman is not as good as Pilotwings.

HOLD IT RIGHT THERE YOU DOUBLENIGGER

>-PAID ONLINE
Only after the first six months of the consoles launch
>-Only 1 Launch game
This is wrong

>only launch game is also available for the WiiU
>you can't make this shit up, switch will flop so hard
well yeah, but consider the following, if you don't have a WiiU, and you wanna play Breath of the Wild, the Switch is currently the better system to buy.

>Switch has only two real problems:
Little more than that

-Expensive as fuck controllers due to Immersion being ultra-Jews
-Mobile hardware is horrendously sandbagged
-Shit's barely much better than Wii U, so obviously 3rd parties aren't gonna get much shit running on it unless it's made from the bottom up or barely out of the PS3 era
-Paid online incentives are temporary

Maybe thats the reason it didnt work on GWL. People just moved to free options. Sony owns Ps4 so that is the only option.

>-Only 1 Launch game

That's only a problem if you actually buy it launch.

No one is forcing you to buy the console at launch, OP. Just be patient like everybody was with the 3DS until they release more games for it and they launch an improved version of the Switch.

I was patient with the Wii U and PS4, and I'm glad that I waited because I didn't bought any of them

>only launch game is also available for the WiiU
Yeah, a console nobody bought.

Did you see the treehouse for bomberman r?

It looks like garbage konami threw together in a month.

As you can see the drones are already defending Nintendo. Paid online is as good as done.

>needs a smartphone, for voicechat

Are you fucking kidding me? At that point, why don't I just call my friends instead?

>1,2Switch is SHIT compared to wii Sports
just cause, it isn't included in the baseset

it looks fun too, but not worth as a standalone game

That battery life is really disappointing.

I was hoping they'd get 4-6 hours. 2-6 is crap. I was reading on some website (usgamer, eurogamer?) that said Zelda will run for three hours before needing a recharge.

It had Trauma Center!

Nintendo is made up of playboy

have you played it?

and the Gamecube only had Luigi's mansion when it launched and nobody complains about that also

I think most of Sup Forums is 12 and doesn't remember console launches

you forgot trash hardware
and overpriced pads

>It's not okay when Nintendo does it

The only good thing about paid online is that it will make Nintendo accountable for their service.

If they don't improve the quality of what they offer, they will see low subscriber numbers, which should (hopefully) spur them to offer better online.

>Are you fucking kidding me? At that point, why don't I just call my friends instead?
I wish I do, but it seems, you need to connect your smartphone first with it, and then you can voicechat, with your smartphone.
Watch the presentation, it's right at the beginning.

OKAY LETS COMPLAIN

FUCK PAID ONLINE

someone send a bunch of angry emails to Nintendo ASAP

it's true

It's not necessary. It never has been. Why do you think playing MS games is free on W10 but not console? Stop accept this shit. PC people are smart enough to reject this scam.

Who prefers getting ripped off?

>It had Trauma Center!
not at launch

Nintendo creates quality games. They deserve your money.

>well yeah, but consider the following, if you don't have a WiiU, and you wanna play Breath of the Wild, the Switch is currently the better system to buy.

Why is it the better system to buy? Can't I just get the Wii U and zelda AND have a shit load of games I haven't played yet to play?

NON NATIVE VOICE CHAT

>Smart Device Support – An upcoming smart-phone application for the Nintendo Switch system will enhance matchmaking and allow for voice chat options.

AHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

It's part of a long term strategy to double-dip by Nintendo
>Release Switch
>People buy it
>Wait two years
>Release Switch Lite, which is the console jammed into a purely handheld device bit with a mini HDMI output
>Release Switch Pro, beefed up version with better graphics and processor, purely desk based and without the portable screen.
>Drop the bomb that the Lite can interface with the Pro for remote play
>Upgrade complete

>Maybe if everybody complains about paid online they fix it.

Remember when people complained about Fed Force and Nintendo's response was to make a "why FF will be great and basically you are fucking stupid" video?

>It's ok when Nintendo does it

Trauma Center: Second Opinion was a launch title.

What are you gonna do if he accepts it? Go to his house and kick his ass?

Bad launch sales is something the console maker and game developers don't want, Wii-U had poor launch numbers which caused a huge drop in developer support.

The wii u was the first next gen console you filthy filthy heretics i hope you burn in hell with your Ps4's and X-bone 1's you WHORES! DIE DIE DIE YOU DAMBED HEATHENS!

You non-mustards are playing SFV online somehow.

This.

Imagine a world without Nintendo. Only shitty uninspired brown cinematic experiences for consoles that don't innovate in any way. Nobody caring about gameplay. Yikes.

This.

They're easing into it. They'll drop the bomb when Scorpio hits.

Either that, or they release an upgraded dock, that has it's own hardware and SLI's the main handheld for 2/3x power while docked.

To be quite honest with you family I think the paid online is not a real problem compared to the lack of games.

Nintendo never had many games with (good) online play and I don't think that is going to change anytime soon.

How much are you nerds willing to pay for online on the Switch, yearly?

>Why is it the better system to buy? Can't I just get the Wii U and zelda AND have a shit load of games I haven't played yet to play?
cause, unlike the WiiU, the Switch isn't dead, and it seems, that most WiiU games get a Switch-port anyway.
But yeah, you can still try to get a WiiU for BotW, and other WiiU games.

MS removed their policy because the launch in general was a dumpster fire and they needed to do something to keep at least some consumer interest. My gut feeling is that this'll go down the same as the PS4 paid online, the unhappy crowd is overshadowed by the apologists and the people who just don't care, eventually gaining silent begrudging acceptance.

>Buy console
>don't pay for online

Woah, lookit I just solved everyone's problem! You can send you noble prizes to me at any time.

That's only with Western gaming (even though Black Ops III was very colorful for a COD game).

That's why I buy their games. But I'm not going to let them bend me over and shaft me for online when I already pay $60 per game and monthly to my ISP.

4 dollars a month tops

>only two problems

Sure, keep telling yourself that.

But muh splatoon and mario kart ;^(

It has also a shit graphic and a shit battery life as well as shit resolution for $300

This console is already dead

>Trauma Center: Second Opinion
looked it up, yes it was one, but only in the US and Japan, Europa got the game about half a year later, and I am coming from there...

What about the problems where it's a woefully underpowered machine that does neither home console or portable system well because it's a "jack-of-all-trades, master of none" hybrid?

Having to pay to play people online in splatoon and smash is a real bummer though.
Paid online is shit and nintendos version with the rental snes/nes games are even worse.

>Buying a console with no online in 2017
You're as much of an idiot as the people who will pay for it.

Then again anybody buying a switch is clearly mentally challenged.

It also had Red Steel and I think the first Rayman rabbits game

>paid online
>have to use a smartphone app for voice chat
>apparently there's a free and "premium" version of said app

Red Steel and that Rayman game were fucking awful

what the fuck is pilotwings 64? I played Blast Corps like a mother fucker, but I never played Pilotwings..

That's beside the point, we are talking launch titles not their quality.

a game about flying around
like Microsoft FlightSimulator, just easier

But splatoon man. I'm so damn torn about this.

This shit just pushes more people to PC and phones since they don't give you that bullshit. Steam is a massive service offered completely for free that no console manufacturer are ever going to out-do. It's not about quality. It's about greed. Only difference is that this is going to hurt Nintendo more than help since Switch is already seen as a joke.

>recycling the same 2 fucking IPs for 30 odd years
>'quality' games'
>deserve your money
Reminder that this is what nintendrones actually believe.

Can we just say all companies do shitty things? Don't get me started on Sony's Remaster boner.

It's honestly a bit odd for Nintendo to announce games with LAN options while forcing paid online. Are they going to paywall local network connectivity as well? Because if they don't, it's incredibly easy to fire up them virtual LAN tunnels and just play people across the globe, much like the OG Xbox.

Splatoon is a game for children who aren't allowed to play real online FPS games. Seriously, dude?

Enjoy your ban.

>Imagine a world without Nintendo. Only shitty uninspired brown cinematic experiences for consoles that don't innovate in any way. Nobody caring about gameplay. Yikes.

Yeah thank god for Nintendo and games like Milk.

>'imagine a world without nintendo"
Yes, I can easily imagine a world without a gazilion super mario 'same shit different asshole 'games'' and quadrilion zelda games.

Oh don't worry I can fix that too. If you want to play online:

>buy console
>pay online fee

MMOs run on centralized dedicated hardware servers servicing thousands of users at once, consoles are literally just blocking peer-to-peer hosting with a paywall.

I would if they were better than splatoon my man.

PS3 had literally no games at launch, all I can remember is Resistance and it was not very good

360 had Condemned and not much else

Gamecube just had Luigi's mansion , Xbox had Halo, Dead or Alive and Oddworld I think? The Ps2 just had Timesplitters

The Nintendo DS just had a Mario 64 port and the only good game for the 3ds was Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars

it's like this for almost all console launches, there are 1-2 good games and the rest are ports and shovelware

>paying for online
EVER.

>simply cave in to nintendo's jewery
Nah.

>Splatoon is a game for children
a game what's the definition of "I have seen enoug Hentai..."

>PS3 had literally no games at launch
It also had Motorstorm

Oh, don't worry, here's my own point plan for avoiding Nintendo's Jewry:

>don't buy their products
