It's a very well-designed game and also very challenging. It has great mission design and resource management that really pressures the player to play to the best of his abilities. You should play it. I love the MechWarrior games but I don't consider any of them perfect, on the other hand, I can't find any flaws with MechCommander. The sequel is trash though.
