So how hard was he Sup Forums?

So how hard was he Sup Forums?

i cheesed the fuck out of him with a full magic damage build and crystal soul spear. i basically one shot the dragon and only had to dodge a few of his attacks. not hard at all

I had more trouble with Champion Gundyr.

only boss i died on in the whole game
did i just gitgud or is dark souls 3 just piss easy

>Dying at all
Seems like DSIII was too hard for you. Git gud or play some baby games.

You have gitten gud.

>get shield with high lightining defence
>boss turns into a joke

felt piss easy considering I just finished sotfs and had a way tougher time throughout

>prepare for a boos
>boss isn't difficult
so literally every single boss in the soul series except for bed of chaos.

I beat him second try thinking he wasn't that hard, and then found out everyone else in the universe thought he was the hardest boss.

The opposite for me was Paarl in Bloodborne. I must have died to that fuck like 30+ times. No boss has ever given me such trouble.

Thank you based Dragonslayer Greatshield

Pontiff was harder Nameless was easy as shit.

he isn't really that hard
but damn it's one of the most enjoyable and coolest bosses

Died to him 60 times. Gave up, I know all bosses are just about timing rolls but for me he is difficult to tell. Had the same for twin princes (50 tries), who I can now do perfect.

I think it's just a personnel level when it comes to souls games. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and certain bosses pick on different weaknesses.

Second try after seeing what he could do during the first. Orphan was much harder.

I got really close to beating him first try then took like 20 more tries after that

It's too easy, but some of that is probably due to having played souls and soulsborne for years before it. I'd be interested to hear an opinion on the difficulty from someone who was new to the series.

Unironically took me about 50 tries to beat him.
In retrospective he isn't even that hard mechanically. I was just being a major retard.

He's a goddamn nightmare to fight with ultra greatswords.

Very tough, took me about 10 tries. But the difficulty in this game was bizarre.
>Beat Pontiff first try
>Beat champ without breaking a sweat
>Twin princes took me two times because I couldn't stop laughing that a boss was literally *teleports behind you*
>Die to Friede's 3 forms 100+ times before I beat blackflame

She was a bitch

Is that so?
I'm that anonand I never bothered changing weapons in all my playthrough after getting my first Ultra GS because I just like them too much.

Pretty hard on sl27. On proper quality build with bkgs is piss easy.

i only died to this boss and dancer, and that was because i fought dancer immediately after a boss

Nameless king and soul of cinder were both annoying as fuck with slow heavy weapons, longswords though shat all over them.

It's an inbalance that was never fixed and was horrible at launch.

Yah it was pretty hard. And I beat him through my first double KO in the series lol.

Really? I find him way easier with ultra greatswords.

He's way easier to stagger and the swings of ultra greatswords time perfectly for when you have to dodge.

>stagger
he never staggered for me, did you play it at launch?

?
i beat him first try with a great hammer

Not the other guy, but I also went full UGS, since I like to just stick with the same weapon (or weapon type) for any individual character. It did take me a ridiculous amount of times to beat him though, but I will say that the dragon portion is incredibly easy with an UGS.

I found DaS3 by far the easiest in the series

I started with BB. DaS2 was the hardest I hated hated hated Elana the Squalid Queen

How many souls games had you played before it?

A good challenge and a casul filter because it caused people to summon

>x boss is hard with ugs

no, that just means you suck at ugs
kysyourselves retards

He was a pain in the ass to me because the rest of the fucking game trained me to roll through everything like it was fucking Bloodborne.

Once I went back to the Demon's/Dark 1 way of just moving out of the way of shit, you realize that despite all of his attacks coming at you really fast and even having some AOEs, all of his attacks can be sidestepped.

I've always had trouble with Darkbeast, mainly due to the camera. I beat Ludwig, Amelia and Ebrietas first try but died 15+ times to Loran Darkbeast in the Chalice Dungeons before I found out that I didn't even have to fight him to reach Yharnam

Twin Princes gave me more trouble in the base game, overall Friede was the hardest for me

Looking back he was the hardest boss in the game for me.

The Dragon fight is an atrocious abomination who's only purpose is to make sure you don't get familiar with Nameless King's moves. I would have liked a meme boss fight against the Dragon.

I was using a chinese controller that was so fucking chinese that i had to install Joytokey since Ds3 didn't recognize it. All of the buttons were swaped (X was Y, A was B etc) and R3 didn't allow me to change targets when aiming.

Only the DLC's co-op areas of DaS2 were hard.
I beat Elana on my first try but got my ass handed to me by Allone.
Most of my deaths on 3 were caused by the bosses while in 1, 2 and DeS i was dying in the areas.

Went Zwei first time and just spammed R2 or Rolling Charged R2 on him. I mostly fucked up on my rolls by always rolling split-second late. Getting hit, and knocked back, then my character standing up and rolling even without me pressing circle and getting roll-catched.

Aside from that he was ok. Gundyr was more fun to fight but even he has weakness that if you stick to his back he slows down enough for you to r2 him.

Also I had easier time with twin princes with zwei than longsword.

easy because as magic you just stay at distance and spam greater soul spear and he can never touch you and magic blows the dragon up in like 3 hits, 1 if you time a kamehameha properly.

Twin Princes is probably my favorite boss of the entire series. The last time i had so much fun in a boss was against Artorias.

Hard until you realize hes a bait boss. If you fight him up close yeah hes rather challenging because of wide sweeping attacks he can delay to catch rolls. But if you stay 15-20 feet away at all times he will eventually do a more linger unsafe move you can punish safely and then decide if you wanna run or stay in and repeat.

Magic builds don't apply you cheesed the entire game once you got competent spells. You learned almost no patterns and just threw shit at things to beat the game. Hope you had fun.

I only played each Souls game once and struggled a bit with each.
I thought he was pretty hard but not impossible.

I had more trouble with Champion Gundyr.

Most of my deaths were from Sister Friede. For some reason I spent 20+ embers trying to beat her by parrying her in the first phase.

Shout outs to Pontiff, Dancer, and Dragonslayer Armour for using poor frame rate as a xbone exclusive boss mechanic.

Never understood why people would even consider Champ G hard. Especially if you're a str build you can basically afford to trade with him on NG/early NG+s because 500-600 damage is more then enough to warrant a heal. And if you're good enough you time it right and you just take giant chunks out of him and get away.

And any other build can just throw shit/parry him to death so hes pretty pitiful.

>gitten gud
>gitten

Topkek

He was the hardest boss, I beat all the others but gave up on him after 10 tries.

The main problem is that he gives you almost no time to heal.

I mean the entirety of DaS3. How did you find the overall difficulty? I didn't die to a boss until Pontiff. Even then, I thought Pontiff, NK, Twins, Dancer, Champ and SoC were the only challenging bosses, and that was probably just because I was using an UGS by that point.

about 40% of the people who have played Dark Souls 3 have beaten him.
Compare that to the roughly 40% that've beaten Vicar Amelia.

Short answer?
He's a fucking joke.

Can that be right about Amelia? That would mean half the people who bought the game never made it past the second non-optional boss. Sad!
