It actually doesn't seem very easy, especially if you're using motion controls. You have to punch while also dodging and jumping while also curving your own punches to hit the opponent.

The Treehouse gameplay shown of it looked pretty good actually.

It really comes down to how many characters, fists etc. there are in the full game. They've only shown the demo which was very barebones.

The game surprised me with how fun and complex (despite the apparent simplicity) it is. Kind of like Pokken.

is the wii the last motion controlled console you used? Motion controls are still inferior but their precision is much better now. If you looked at some videos of the game you would know that the movement is used to activate the punch and then rotartions are used to rotate the punches, and those can be easily mapped to buttons and combined to obtain deeper moves

Why does off screen gameplay always look better?

I noticed this with Zelda BotW too. When they show it off on stream it looks washed out, dusty and foggy.

But in reality, when you watch an off screen recording of it by some journalist or something, it looks much more vivid and rich in color.

We don't know exactly how much content's going to be in the final game, so it's a little early to say if it's overpriced yet.

The full game has way more characters and many more arms.

With all the attacks, blocking, charging up, grab moves, curved hits, jumps and dashing and combinations + comboing you can do there is a lot more to this than one might think at a first glance

It just has the same vibe Splatoon had: a brand new IP made by the young blood of Nintendo. Things like this were very much needed, when was the last time Nintendo created fresh IPs like those two? Pikmin and Chibi-Robo on the GC? The last decade it's been terrible for Ninty in that sense.
