is this a good game?
Is this a good game?
It's great, but wait for DOS2, its really good even in its alpha stage.
Excellent game if you like that sort of thing. Definitely not a game for dummies though. You've been warned.
It's good, story is shit and also it's relatively linear because of that. The gameplay itself is more or less where it shines but it's also sort of built around having pure classes as hybrid shit just doesn't work as well.
>good
Coffe in the morning is good.
This game is still one of the best games out there.
>tfw beat the game with a hybrid class and a non combat class as my two mains
Theory invalidated. You jus' a big dummy.
Maybe on explorer mode lol, try that on tactician mode little bitch ass nigga
There's no explorer mode in the original game, you punkass bandwagoner.
>skip the entire first episode of the story
Don't do this.
He posted the enhanced edition which is much harder to do what you did after the nerfs
Nerfs?? EE had the skills buffed, you poser fuck.
Great gameplay. Higher difficulty doesn't fuck around. Game loves to blindside you. Save often
Story blows, but the story in 2 is shaping up way better already. And the gameplay. And character building and options. And stealth/theft. Everything really. Can't fucking wait.
great game, should be played in Co-Op with a likeminded buddy
I didn't like getting blue-balled on the threesome scene but good otherwise.
i played it for like an hour and had fun
been meaning to play it again but been slogging through the witcher which is considerably less fun
so what im really saying is that i had absolutely nothing to contribute to this thread but i posted anyway
kiddynity unoriginal shit is shit, shit!
Great game especially in co-op. Sequel will be even better.
It's great
Played with a friend as mu first playthrough
This
Super fun. Both got the Lone Wolf perk and two manned the thing.
Pretty clever and well written dialogue, even if there's a bit mich of it at times
Probably the best coop game ever made.
Its great but the story really does blow, I feel like I stopped caring before it even began. Something about ancient evils and a demonic cult or whatever. But the fighting is excellent, its really fun to play around with status effects, rangers are godly thanks to special arrows of which you'll have plenty.
but I've heard the story is fucking shit
>Something about ancient evils and a demonic cult or whatever.
I liked it, but I would recommend the normal version over enhanced.
I guarantee you everyone who says this just has problem with reading lots of text, let well alone comprehending what it is they've read. As proof plainly exists right here
I thought it was a lot of fun with a friend.
Everyone always talks about Muh story Muh story but I thought it was okay, I wasn't expecting some master piece and some of the dialogue made me laugh.
Honestly one of the best co op games of the decade
there is still no fast pace turn based combat. I cant play this game anymore because the animations and npcs TAKE AGES to do their shit. Half of the time you staring at the monitor like an idiot. Good gaem, but speed up that fucking combat already. Same reason I didnt buy 2
>good coop game
I dont have any friends. I thought this was a singleplayer game
fuck me
it is single player you fucking idiot
You can just play it co op
like mario kart and shit
kill yourself retard
What's it about then? Because I have over 50 hours in this game and I play it to kill bad guys, which is very fun. I have no idea what's going on, what is a "source hunter" anyway?
Don't ask for how the story goes when you literally skipped the intro video and ignored all dialogue.
I'm not pretending it's the peak of story telling but there is a story, which you chose to ignore, period
There's nothing wrong with just playing a game for the gameplay. But it's fucking retarded stating something like "the story blows" then.
You're like that fucking retarded vidya "reviewer" who gave Double Dragon a bad review simply because he didn't like the genre.
Definitely not for rogues and a few others
f-fuck you t-too!
Autism
so I'm thinking about starting with a rogue and a witch.
does that work? what skills and shit should I get? I want the spider on my witch.
Not really. I can't quite pinpoint one major flaw with the game, as it's more of a combination of a lot of small things that don't quite work, but on the whole the game feels more like a chore than a good time when you're playing it. You're constantly reminding yourself that there are more fun things you could be doing right now. If you're looking for a good classic-style RPG, I'd recommend Underrail instead.
le evil cultists are trying to awaken le big bad dragon (using forbidden magic) which is also the harbinger of the end times and you have to save the world
more or less, it's been a while since I played
tl;dr 10/10 orignial sotry donut steel
With rogue, haste is nice to have early and enter combat with stealth on if you can
with witch, "easy" mode is taking fire / earth magic and igniting the battlefield with oil and fire
and take the other mage guy in town who can heal and shit
summons are good too but i haven't tried running to late game with summons before
Same here. Wanna co op online?
Fair enough, now that I think it about it I'm probably a bit biased against high fantasy and Divinity's setting is as generic as they come so I guess I never gave it a chance to begin with. I think it's admirable that a long ass RPG game like this can still be memorable even if you, in my case, don't give a single fuck about the story
>skip the entire first episode of the story
D:OS is fucking shittier when it comes to writing, he won't miss shit. What he should play instead is Divine Divinity, D:OS2 comes chronologically after it, not D:OS.
Hey I have a question about Rogues. If you enter combat in stealth, how do you get close enough to hit without being spotted? It seems like it's impossible desu.
You don't always, but sometimes you can - it helps to split the party or have the party enter combat with the rogue off to the side.
Ok, that's what I was trying to do but it seems like a major pain in the ass.
I'll give it a try
I hear the game is hard as fuck....
Don't have to do it, it just sucks when you have a rogue that's 2 movements away from the battle
but it's the reason i take haste
you can haste before the combat, if you do it RIGHT before you might not lose a round on it
