Another event, another 6 hours of running in circles and blowing up bokoblins.

Why are people excited for this again?

they don't want to spoil the great story xD

this so fucking much, show something interesting

before the nintentoddler goes and claims they are saving it for you to figure once you get the game,

yeah, hopefully

Well, the last trailer suggested some interesting stuff, but I would feel better if they demo'd a proper dungeon.

Because they're not kojima and don't want to show the entire game before it comes out.

The problem is, they still showed hours of footage and none of it looked interesting.

Is there any dungeon footage? All I remember is some screenshots.

There's the "test" dungeons, but they barely count, imo.

Nintendo fans don't know open world or physics sandbox games, so when their pet franchises finally get features that are common on decade old hardware, they praise it like it's an innovation.

/thread

that wouldn't be hard, since there isn't game in "kojima" productions.

It's what the mainstream wants, open world do-nothing games. I'd like to have seen a true dungeon by now but its not as marketable.

So has anyone officially commented on the Frame rate? I just want the drops to be addressed. I can't see them fixing it in 2 months

And they only have 4 of the dungeons that aren't tutorial-like mini dungeons, of which they have dozens. You know, like the bad Zelda titles.

People only really got excited for BOTW because of the E3 footage. It's a Zelda game with actual item utility and interplay for once.

But all I play is open world sandboxes.

>/threading your own post

Eiji Aonuma and Miyamoto said this to IGN:

>“I think I mentioned this during E3, but the gameplay is completely the same experience on Wii U and the Nintendo Switch,” Aonuma told IGN. “The game controls for the two are pretty much identical. However, when you play in TV mode, the resolution of the screen and the sound quality go up.”
>“When I said earlier that the gameplay and game experience is the same, I meant the framerate is the same as well,” Aonuma said.
>“The world in Breath of the Wild is all seamless,” Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto added. “There’s a lot of processing when [the game] needs to recreate the landscape, so that’s a little bit of challenge. But while you’re playing it there’s no difference whatsoever between the two.”

Why is it still so washed out with that piss filter? I thought this was a Wii U issue.

Have they put actual Zelda music in it yet?

They could atleast show minor interactions in villages/towns, and not one off stables.

We know there is like 100 shrines, but if the pre-E3 leak and the back of the collector's map is any indication there is only 4 main dungeons.

I don't expect this to have MM-tier side "quests" to do.

So drops below 30 staying confirmed?

Optimization is pretty much the last thing you work on when making a game.

>Because they're not kojima
>Both changed their franchise to make their newest installment barren open worlds
>Both rely heavily on deceptive cutscene marketing

You've been fooled again

The game looks boring as fuck. Just look at OPs pic, its fucking empty.

OPEN WORLD

CRAFTING

I was beginning to think I was the only one thinking this way. The heavy-handed menu shuffling isn't particularly appealing, either.

Sounds familiar.

HERB GATHERING

Is there actually crafting?

MGSV?

Well at least the new trailers have confirmed that character interaction and villages/towns exist.

I guess they want to show the open world aspect more because that's what westerners like more, and because it's more unique to Zelda tis time round.

Why show off stuff that your older games had?

That said, I really hope the open world isn't barren shit that ruins the game, like in MGSV and FFXV

Why does it look like a Wii game?

I'm actually asking and not trying to start something.

This looks genuinely bad.

Hell, one could argue that this could be a Gamecube game pushing the system to it's limits in some of these screenshots.

Seriously, I know Nintendo is always behind tech wise but why does this look like an old game? WHY?

When are open world games these days NOT barren? There's a reason people are getting relatively sick of them.

Yup. Digital Foundry released a video that shows both versions drop like a motherfucker.

Do moonrunelanders even like open world shit?

Will this game even appeal to them at all?

Probably because it couldn't have both good graphics AND physics.

Uncharted 4 has good graphics AND physics.

stop talking to yourself

There was a dungeon at the last convention they also showed some powers you get and even a whole puzzle room that used said powers.

It just sounds to me your moving the goal post.

Oh come on, those are clearly either end-game or early-game dungeons. Lots of Zelda games do this.

>OoT: You do the spiritual stone "dungeons" before going to the real actual dungeons.
>MM: Only four because the game was made in like a year and they focused on the side-quest stuff.
>Twilight Princess: Fused Shadow dungeons, and then the mirror piece dungeons.
>Skyward Sword: The stone tablet dungeons, followed by the Master Sword dungeons.

They do this all the time. It's not proof of there being only four dungeons.

That's what I meant by the test dungeon. But those are small and only lasted a few minutes. It's obviously nothing like the staples of the series, which is the expectation. There's no post moving.

>again the demo area

Fuck you, Nintendo. Show something new.

If those were the dungeons then this is fucking tragic.

And it has better framerate than Zelda, even when playing at half speed, like in this webm.

You can't expect them to show you all of the game before release. People will be mad once they discover the lack of content.

You can't be serious.

>literally no physic
good job pal

xd

No its definitely only 4 dungeons. Hyrule castle is surrounded by those 4 huge pillars that activate when you beat the gaurdians

>Nintendo built the BotW engine and created physics rooms to test shit
>decide to make these test engine rooms into "mini-dungeons" to pad out the game

This is disgusting. Nintendo switch off.

>all our products are designed around the concept of novelty, instead of just making high quality products like we used to

t. miyamoto

The frame rate issue will not be fixed in time, you will still see dips when things get chaotic on screen. Just be thankful it's not Knack bad, that game regularly dips in the single digits.

The game looks alright but Nintendo treating it like it's the second coming of Christ is really not doing it any favours. The diehards may eat this shit up but it isn't converting anyone.

There might be four dungeons related to the castle, but that doesn't mean there aren't more dungeons. Like I said, Twilight Princess had the mirror piece dungeons, and they were clearly the "main" dungeons. But they weren't the ONLY dungeons.

Also what happened to the whole "You can challenge the end-game at any time if you're good enough." thing? If the end-game is blocked off by story progression and dungeons that's either a lie or we're misunderstanding what the four pillars mean.

nah nintendo confirmed that they are reusing some existing engine to save money

probably a modified xenoblade engine

Poor bait

They have to treat it like that, it's the only big game they have releasing anytime soon. 3rd party ports and Wii U remasters aren't going to sell Switch.

but zelda is a wii u remaster

Dragon's Dogma.

I mean it wasn't bursting at the seams or anything, and the world wasn't huge nor was it marketed as such.

But it was uncharted, and the combat and class variety made it, you know, fun to fight enemies while earning EXP to get new skills to fight enemies. LoZ's gameplay just isn't fun, and fighting things isn't rewarding in any sense of the word.

The gameplay is just a dull wall between you and the cutscenes that form the same exact story you've played a dozen times before. A story with very little in the way of character development or motivation.

I mean shit, who actually gives a flying fuck about Hyrule? It's a lifeless plot device.

So what is the deal with Not-Link's running animation? He looks like he is having a seizure.

It's an upcoming dual release, with the only difference being them targeting a 1080p resolution for the Switch version while docked.

Isn't Nintendo and PC the most common combination on Sup Forums?

Knack isn't Sony's flagship franchise you dumb cunt.

They can't into good animations.

900p*

PC is for League of Legends, Hearthstone, WoW and Overwatch. They don't have open world games either.

But the "gameplay" was absolute ass. It was nothing but QTE for people who wanted to watch a movie rather than game.

>Liked Uncharted 1-3
>mfw "playing" Uncharted 4

Regardless, BotW looks like garbo.

>not at least playing bethesda games on pc
kek
