Comfy buttons
Comfy size
yet another nintendo shill thread
poor sony babby
Not so "comfy" stick placement.
Enjoy your aching wrists.
Nintendo Switch S when? Just attach the buttons to the system and make it smaller. I don't want a portable party device, I want something that's a single-person handheld with HDMI out.
Really, I don't even want a portable system at all, but if they're gonna make it portable, make it not shit.
No one is bringing this to a party every time to use this, they're gonna be talking and drinking and watching football or something. You'll bring it once, people will maybe have fun for an hour, and then you'll just look like a total autist if you bring it back a second time, or you'll just be playing video games with their kids.
I love Nintendo games, but let's face the fact that most adults are just gonna be playing them alone in their home and maybe playing online which is now a premium service.

Lol wuts the cum feast snk move
>stick and buttons at the same horizontal level
My 3ds is permanently attached to a grip and even with that it's still uncomfortable to play with.
Any comparison with the vita?
Here you go
I don't see what you're seeing
The human thumb extends outward, not downward. It's going to be real uncomfortable to play any game that requires both the use of the stick and buttons on that controller.
>playing any game and this small ass fuck controller
>Home Menu constantly opens because you're hitting it every time you move.
I'm constantly Opening Menus/Using Powers/Maps on my PS4 because of the fucking trackpad so I already know this shit will be a problem.
Look how tiny that dpad is. Lol WTF?
It's way too fucking close.
poor sony babby
...
c-pad > d-pad
The horizontal joycons are easily Nintendo's most bizarrely unintuitive layout since the N64.
poor sony babby
>N64 C buttons for a d-pad because "lol share the joy each half is its own controller"
>Fucking gimmicky ass "d-pad" that also works as face buttons even tho it was completely unwanted and unneeded.
>A lot of games for this thing will be 2D
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
poor sony babby
horizontal wiimote was pretty bad
don't fucking remind me
The horizontal Wiimote worked fine because there was a real d-pad, and your thumbs weren't colliding.
d-pad is overrated
horizontal Wiimote is just skinny NES controller
It was leagues better than this.
sony babby poor
At the very least, it functioned well enough as a controller.
poor sony babby
Yes.
thats too small. Even 3DS XL is too small for me and this doesnt look that much better
Does anyone else think it looks weird to have all of this blank empty space to the left
>He plays games alone and not looking into the eyes of this opponent
lmao
>N64 C buttons for a d-pad because "lol share the joy each half is its own controller"
How did I not notice this this until now?
>buttons are smaller than the 3ds
for what purpose? you have all that fucking real estate
I hope to god you don't have to use the ZL and ZR buttons on a single joycon. I assume that is what the SL and SR buttons are for, but man. Any time you have to move right and press the B button is going to be shit.
I'm I degenerate for preferring a stick to the d-pad when playing 2D platformers?
I never actually looked at the d-pad for long enough to notice.
is that a dpad or an X button?
Not even much bigger, why are people shitposting about the portability?
...
Why couldn't they make the right joycon a duplicate placement of the left? Does Nintendo not care about comfort and anatomy?
>That fucking DPad
What the hell are the expecting to release on this? Pocket Pikachu HD?
>this again
That's a plus (+) button
Because it IS bigger, has a bare screen and the sticks stand out. I mean, I guess you can detach the joycons and put them in a different pocket but that's still shitty. The sticks will likely be the first thing to go on it if you actually take the thing out and about, and the replacements are super fucking expensive. Can you even get just a replacement screen if that gets fucked up?
The analog stick is definitely going to get in the way
If Nintendo does it, it MUST br bad.
>+ is not the dpad
dropped
My, bad. Just looked at the picture after that.
Everyone's holding it wrong, it's not a pro controller or ds4, hold it so your thumbs go up, hands on the bottom. Not on the sides like
I can't believe they fucked the whole design of the cons just because "lol you can use one for each player" meme.
Nobody think at nintendo or what?
I guess they wanted the outer shell to be smooth so they did that and put the SR/SL buttons on the inside
>sticks/buttons right under each other
Just why ?
If the Switch flops, do you think this will be Nintendo's last console? Or, will they make another?
People are shitposting because it's too big to fit into a pocket even though no one actually carries their handhelds in their pocket these days.
They're just finding any reason to complain.
Man that looks terrible
They could spread the shoulder buttons to the edge so the guy doesn't have to cramp his hand deep onto it, but then it might be hard to support the controller
Definitely the last.
He has to to reach right shoulder
>Even 3DS XL is too small for me
Do you have andre the giant hands or just like carrying a briefcase around?
>litteraly this desu
they could have placed them 1-2 cm lower and it would have been fine in both full controller mode and sideways joycon mode
>Joycons are tiny
>No d-pad
>Analog directly above/below the buttons
Whyyyyyyyy
What makes you say that user?
I don't understand why they didn't port their games to smartphone to be honest.
The joycon is small as fuck. You can easily reach them holding it the other way.
I think he means that because the buttons and sticks aren't diagonal in a radius, you have to shift your hand up and down and use one at a time comfortably instead of just moving your thumb. Moving them further apart vertically would make the problem worse.
With the switch they definitely stopped the hardware race.
If the "mobile" switch-style race doesn't cut it, there's no way they would be able to recover.
Unless they try a incredible breaktrough in the "normal" console market, but fighting against both xbox and ps at the same time is real difficult.
I'm no expert, this is just my opinion, but if switch flops I expect them to go the Sega way.
Maybe we'll get a Switch XL that has less shit design
I mean let's be honest here
How often does Nintendo get shit right on the first try?
Its just that everyone I've seen holding it so far likes to pretend it has the hand grips other controllers have. You can move your hands under the controller and not have your fingers touching. L+R can still be hit with index fingers.
>1-2 cm lower and it would have been fine in both full controller mode and sideways joycon mode
I'm glad you don't work at nintendo, because it would be fucking awful in the full controller mode
Gamecube.
My biggest problem here is that the joycon is flat
If you have a 3ds it will hurt your hands
Hahaha can't wait for people to get robbed or break this shit and have to buy an entirely new console
just like cellphones
You're wrong
>mfw I don't live in Niggerica
>creates a controller designed for small asian hands for the entire world to struggle with
Yet everyone else seems to have issues using it the "normal" way, but whatever. Enjoy hitting the B button because you won't shift your thumbs away from each other.
I went out to my garage and tried this on my NES controller. It really sucks because it's unstable and may actually be fatiguing if you do it for long periods. And when I slid my hands up the side of the controller it's immediately clear why we hold controllers this way, the opposing left and right force makes the controller ridiculously stable.
Then I supported my 3DS XL on my desk so weight wasn't an issue, and tried the same on the circlepad/dpad side. It was even worse then the buttons were small and close together.
Holding controllers underneath with no handles is ass as far as I now know.
I doesn't take a genius to realize he's not holding it correctly.
>3DS XL is too small for me
Are you a fucking orc? What the fuck man
>playing vidya on switch
>your character suddenly stops moving but you can access the menu
>turns out right joycon battery is ded
>regular grip can't charge, need to buy the one that charges
>pro controller is expensive
>vidya time no more
>sometime later after warranty expires
>one of the joycons ded
>can't replace just the broken one, they sell both of them or none
>from all the inserting and pulling the console to and from the dock, backside and the screen is fucked
>from all the inserting and pulling, joycons and the place where joycons go are fucked
This whole joycon and hybrid console shenanigans asks for trouble.
Literally a console for ants.
>At least half of the people ITT
>penis
>not a big turd
You had one fucking job.
People don't drop phones and tablets in shitcuck EU?
>they sell both of them or none
This isn't even true
Stop fucking shitposting, Paco
>Nintendo faggots are going to be stuck with this shit for an entire generation unless they fork out 70 additional bucks
>being poor
>being a fucking retard
I bet you support several females on patreon.
>hori pro controller is 20 bucks
>they are better than first party ones
I have a pencil to sell you, it's $5. Only poorfags would complain about not be able to afford it
poor sony baby
Yep.
Only thing is I wouldn't mind removable controls if I means I can protect the screen and accessories in a case or something along the lines of that.
