It's actually well made, but US regulations classified it as a toy and didn't allow manufacturers to grease it so it wouldn't wear out.

The gamecube controller isn't small though. And the d-pad is in a shit positon because it's in a shit position. It's not a consequence of the overall size of the controller. They could have easily made the d-pad larger and closer to the analog stick.

Both the d-pad and c-stick on the gamecube are dumb as fuck, but the controller isn't too small.

Wii U The gamepad is such a piece of shit to play with. I have huge hands and I still didn't really got comfortable with it. Only game where it really shines is Splatoon. Bought a pro controller as soon as I could and this shit is fantastic (the best battery life EVER)
