it's always delayed like with shield and that makes it shit
using PS4 remote play. Every 5 minus or so I get a small latency artifact, but besides that it's 1:! control
I don't even use my Shita anymore
wish there were at least a couple good games for the vita to give me an excuse to buy one
Sometimes, when I want to play Bloodborne or DaS3 on my bed. I mostly use my PS TV though for streaming.
You never had one to begin with, shitposter-kun.
It's the main way I play PS4 games
Literally everyday, made both my vita and ps4 worth it.
I don't own a ps4 so no
I play mainly rhythm games, so it's not really feasible.
no, because it's not possible without giving up piracy
but back before henkaku i did, a lot
I got a ps4 recently and I was excited to use my vita that I haven't turned on since 2013. Remote Play is terrible and I still regret buying a vita at launch.
Every now and then, works pretty well for most games and with a vita grip
Yes. I do.
yep all the time, here's the witcher 3 while I'm at work.
What device is that?
snail w3d
Yeah it's okay.
Vita meme is still a thing? wew
What grip is that? does it add l2 and r2?
too laggy, I just use it from my laptop occasionally to manage downloads.
YOU CAN'T
ALWAYS GET
WHAT YOU WANT
Oversize trigger grips
No L2+R2 buttons but there's different grips out there for them.
I use the touchpad on the back for L2+R2 instead.
The days I want to try it out on my xperia tablet the internet shits the bed.
I have 30mbps internet speed and it still lags. It starts well but then it starts cutting out and the image gets blurry. Unplayable with this speed.
What matters more is a constant reliable connection than lots of Mbps.
My connection only goes up to 14mbps but since my WiFi is right next to my PS4 I get no lag with remote play unless I play from the other side of the house.
Remote Play is basically the only thing I use my Vita for.
Can't believe I spent about 100 quid on a vita and 64gb card.
>Can't believe I spent about 100 quid on a vita and 64gb card.
I bought a 64gig card and it died after a year and a half. I'm still mad. It actually killed my desire to play vita games and I stopped defending the system after that point.
remote play is a neat idea but there's more vita games i want to play than PS4 games
My card isn't dead yet, but I switched to 3DS after I got a N3DS for my birthday last year.
It was on a hackable firmware, so I got a 128GB card and basically pirated the whole library of games.
What games do you even play on your 3DS, mines have been collecting dust ever since I hacked it.
There are some recommendations here:
vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com
XC, ACE COMBAT, Phoenix WRT, Residen Evil...
Remote play is a pretty sweet feature. The downside is you're stuck using the back touchscreen for the triggers if the Dev didn't make controls for it.
I use my Steam Link if that counts. Shit works pretty well for most games.
Rarely. My router is a tad far away and seperated by a wall, so connection isn't optimal, and for some unfathomable fucking reason direct connection when I'm 2 meters away from my PS4 AT MOST barely works any better! I'm a diahard Player but Sony dropped the ball on this shit hard!
Nevertheless, when I'm near my router it works flawlessly. It's good to know that both my Xperia and my Vita can be used as spare controllers should my Dualshock break. It's an awsome feature, in fact.
Switch makes more sense than this remote shit.
Specially if you live in a shithole like Brazil.
FUCK YOU ANATEL, VIVO, TIM, OI !!!
Sadly the only games I want on the 3ds are Loveplus and Stella Glow, out of the WHOLE fucking library.
Same thing with the Wiiu U, Xenoblade X and Mirage FE.
The fact that they don't get third party jprg really kills it for me. Hopefully switch will change that but Nintendo has a way of making Japanese third party devs run to Sony even with a huge install base. Looks at vita's third party support vs the 3ds.
There's some 3rd party device that fixes it with a grip, but it's like 40 goddamn dollars.
Locally, sometimes.
The latency is palpable but still fast enough to make playing action games possible. It's not ideal by a long shot but if you want to play bloodborne in bed you totally can..
Online remote play is total garbage though.
If I had games for my PS4 that were worth it
and if my PSVita's analog stick didn't fucking break.
I might would use it.
Never tried it even though I've had bother for years. Feel like I should since there's a couple of games I would rather play on the vita instead of the tv.
>Online remote play is total garbage though.
Only if your internet is garbage or if you are trying to play bloodborn or FPS games. Perfect for turn based games and visual novels.
he means playing a game online
no.
>Do you use Remote Play?
At one point I did. Back before Sony created a remote play to PC, I would remote play from work to my ps4 at home via Vita just to play turn based rpgs like Neptunia VII and Omega Quintet. There would be slight lag for action based games so I didn't remote play for those type of games but it was perfect for turn based rpgs.
It worked pretty well. Then Sony created remote play to PC so I stopped using the vita for remote play when I was at work. Would use my work PC.
yes, literally the only reason to own a PS4 at this point, until Nioh anyway
I would at home if I was able to activated prior to the PSN spoofing breaking for Henkaku. Mainly because playing shit like D3 is comfy while I was the monitor I play on for something else.
I don't even have a PS4 LOL
>d-durr vita got no gaems
Where does this meme even come from? What do you faggots even play if you don't like any of the Vita's library? Are you all just american underaged shits who play western trash or what?
Gravity Rush
Killzone Mercenary
Wipeout 2048
Ys Celceta
Soul Sacrifice Delta
Muramasa Rebirth
Dragon's Crown
Rayman Origins
God Eater 1 and 2
Toukiden
Freedom Wars
Persona 4 the Golden
I'm just scratching the surface here in games. If you legitimately hate the games I listed you really should just buy an xbox and fuck off with your complaints about the Vita's library. Note that I'm not defending those jewish memory cards.
People using remote play do you play it at coffee shops or somewhere else with wifi or just like while laying in bed? I just got a vita and I'm learning how it works, On another note I hear McDonald's actually has decent wifi for stuff like this not that I'd ever go there casually except maybe for the mcrib
I only use remote play locally as in within the same room as my PS4 and never farther than playing from my bathroom.
I'd imagine trying to do remote play outside your house will be laggy. Doesn't matter if you have 100 Mbps internet, what matters more is a reliable connection that doesn't do packet drops.
Alright thanks
embarrassing
I don't have a PS4, but I do stream games from my PC to my Vita.
Make sure your PS4 is hardline. It makes the connection all the more stable. I can connect to my PS4 without issues now from work or cafes
>Playing Vesperia PS3 version with English patch on a Vita

HOW
H O W
PS3 CFW remote play
>Sadly the only games I want on the 3ds are Loveplus and Stella Glow
you should stop being a weeb, it will really help you with that shitty taste of yours.
Gravity Rush
Wipeout
YS
this is what its left after removing the multiplats and all the weebshit, and i was generous at not including Gravity rush as weebshit, because it has, actually, gameplay value.
expected a PSP2 got a shovelware machine.
>Where does this meme even come from?
>vita does not have games that caters to us casuals
If you like jrpgs and visual novels vita is a godsend.
>People using remote play do you play it at coffee shops or somewhere else with wifi or just like while laying in bed?
Both, I set up a hot spot with my phone to play anywhere and I play on my bed, hell I don't remember the last time I played my ps4 on the tv. The HDMI cable isn't even connected.
Need a hacked ps3.
Sometimes. The controls on Vita aren't precise enough for something like an FPS IMO, but it's fine for other stuff. Even in FPS I'll sometimes use it to farm items in Destiny and light PVE, although I wouldn't want to use it for anything PVP.
Steam in-home streaming works pretty good too. I use it on my laptop sometimes and it works well.
>removing the multiplats and all the weebshit
Why? it´s not like nintenboys don´t praise Fire Emblem, Pokemon now with waifus or DQ8.
What is the compatibility list like?
Not weebshit if it's on Nintendo, they are CLASSIC JRPG
;)
Do you have to be on the latest firmware?
Of course you do. You can't even transfer legitimate games onto it without updating so no.
>You can't even transfer legitimate games onto it without updating so no.
What? Of course you can if they are backed up on your pc.
I do.
I got a better router, my ps4 is hard wired and there isn't really any noticable delay now.
I also got a remote play attachment that added r2 and l2 buttons. It's awesome now.
There's no list out there, you have to try it and find out.
Most of the games I tried worked fine. Infamous and Vesperia play really well. Some games have audio popping issues but nothing major, others won't boot at all. If the game runs at 60FPS on PS3, expect it to be 30FPS on the Vita.
Agreed, see the Disgaea 5 which was a weeb game, now that is on Switch it´s A GOOD SRPG, or Xenoblade 2
Do you have to edit game files to get it to run on a per game bases?
If you have multiman, the feature should be enabled already. If not then you have to go into the Param.Sfo of the game and change 1 thing which takes seconds to do.
