I actually really enjoyed the first Fire Emblem on GBA, despite the last level giving me so much agony and challenge. Come to think of it that had to be one of the hardest vidya related challenges I've had in a good while. I may get Sacred Stones eventually, not sure.

I've wanted this game since launch but figured since I don't play my 3DS enough to begin with why bother and just wait till it was dirt cheap, that never happened. Why do 3DS games hold such value for ever?

Also, I know it's not "the first" so I should have worded that, but it's the first US release I think.

I like Awakening. It feels nice after going through something like Conquest Hard to go back and just completely break the game, while scratching that autistic itch of wanting to see all the units maxed out on stats, or at the very least level cap on promoted class.
Is it flawed? Yes. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

No fire emblem actually has good writing, for RPGs they are average.

Awakening has better writing than fates and shadow dragon about the same as the console games and slightly worst than the GBA games.
