Why did people not like playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2...

Why did people not like playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2? I thought those levels were the most interesting ones in the game.

Why is Halo 2 the best Halo?

I wish we could have had an ODST but of the covenant. Imagine being part of a bad ass elite squadron fighting the brutes/flood or the new enemies

All the weapons for the Arbiter's section sucked.

>Arbiter's levels sucked and ere built for hi camo ability
>terrible boss fights
>levels were bland looking and terribly designed
>had the worst set of enemies
>didn't fight humans
>had weaker health then Master Chief
>did less damage then Master Chief
>hijacked the Chief's storyline
>Bungie (like 343 was with Halo 5's plot) were too quiet and because of that fans thought we were going to be the Master Chief for the entire game and save Earth, Humanity, and the Galaxy from the Covenant instead of playing through a story about alien politics and religion
>game abruptly ends on a mediocre Arbiter mission with a terrible boss fight to close the story

They were decent. Wasn't the sentinel beam in 2?

because they are a bunch of fucking faggots

There is no "good" boss fights in Halo.

Prophet of Regret?
Scarab?

Regret was not very good, the only real challenge was the Elite Honor Guards.

Scarab was a neat idea, but I dislike the idea of solo'ing one. I think a massive combined arms assault with you spearheading it would be cool.

Prophet of Regret was just as "good" as Arby's bosses
Sccarabs are the only bosses in 3 (fuck you 343 doesn't count that "fight" is literally a playable cutscene) so they better be decent

They just really liked master chief I guess.

>the carbine sucks
fuck you

Arby's story and background lore is way more interesting than the Chief's. I actually felt invested in the outcome. I can hardly even remember what was going on exactly in the Chief missions.
>earth's getting inva-
>nah nevermind it's not let's go to halo
>ok a giant plant wants me to go to covenant homeworld
>jump on a ship
>the end

Regret was somewhat fun at least better than whatever the fuck Arbiter had as bosses, and you are a Super Soldier who can lift tanks if you can't single-handily destroy a walking main battle tank then you don't deserve the title of super soldier. This kind of thing only works in ODST since you are not a Spartan.

Arby's bosses was a Elite Ranger and a berserking Brute with a hammer and they were both crap. I also never mentioned 343 for a reason.

>Arbiter's levels sucked and ere built for hi camo ability
camo was literally my fav thing about the Halo 2 campaign
>terrible boss fights
Prophet of Regret wasn't any better 2bh
>had the worst set of enemies
LITERALLY the same enemies as the Master Chief + sentinels (I don't think Chief fought them in 2, but not sure because I played it a long time ago)
>didn't fight humans
that genuinely pissed me off 2bh
>had weaker health then Master Chief
>did less damage then Master Chief
don't remember these two, the second one sounds highly unlikely though
>hijacked the Chief's storyline
>Bungie (like 343 was with Halo 5's plot) were too quiet and because of that fans thought we were going to be the Master Chief for the entire game and save Earth, Humanity, and the Galaxy from the Covenant instead of playing through a story about alien politics and religion
Arby's storyline is the best part of Halo's story for me, but each to their own I guess

>Halo
>lots of great lore in tertiary media
>the forerunner data caches in Halo 3
>etc
>the main storylines are always generic, poorly detailed quests to SAVE DA UNIVERSE

Why? The material is so good but they always do so badly with it.

when Halo 1-3 came out very few people took vidya stories seriously
Halo 4 and 5 stories suck because 343i are incompetent as fuck

all units ww@?

Go for the lowest common denominator.
People who actually care to invest themselves beyond 'kill aliums' will seek out more themselves.

Did the port improve anything about HW? Every single video I've seen on it still has slowdown.

Because when they finally brought lore into the games (Halo 4 & 5) it didn't end well.

LOCAL UNITS

>Trusting anything headed by the faggot that brought us MCC
Never again

>camo was literally my fav thing about the Halo 2 campaign
I had no problem with the camo, but if you decide to built levels based around it, then they better be good which Halo 2's weren't.
>Prophet of Regret wasn't any better 2bh
Still better than generic Elite Ranger and berserking Brute with hammer.
>LITERALLY the same enemies as the Master Chief + sentinels (I don't think Chief fought them in 2, but not sure because I played it a long time ago)
Chief had Elites vs Brutes and Flood vs Brutes
>don't remember these two, the second one sounds highly unlikely though
Play Outskirts on and Arbiter on heroic and get shot up by Grunts with Needlers and see who last longer Chief or Arby. Use the Brute Shot in Gravemind and Uprising and you would notice Chief uses one less shot or melee to kill a Brute compared to Arby.
>Arby's storyline is the best part of Halo's story for me, but each to their own I guess
Don't tell a different story in interviews if you know the storyline is nothing like what you are saying it will be.

>mfw surprisingly scarce amount of porn of arbiter or elites in general

I like the females

Halo has a low amount and low quality lewd in general.
