I didn't have a pre-order before, but now I do.

Wtf?? I could only get past the first enemy before dying.

>Babby-tier

I wish.

So spoonfeed the fuck out of me. What is this game like? Is it more of a Souls game or DMC game?

It's not about the difficulty but the cinematic experience. If you're not interested in mature gaming then do us all a favor and kill yourself

It was acceptable. The alpha really kicked your nuts in and while definitely enjoyable for those who spent the time to learn the games systems, wasn't that great for those who approached it on a more surface level style of playing. Overall I think they've struck a good balance so regular people can play the game, even if I'm disappointed the twilight mode isn't just the game's normal difficulty

pls stream your sick skills, op.

sounds like a personal problem

More like Souls, mixed with some Gaiden and Diablo elements. It very hard to call it just a souls-clone though, there's a lot of depth to the combat that makes it very different. Try the demo, it's free and up till sunday night

>tfw first death in every demos was falling in water wasn't sure could walk in rather than to enemies

Souls. The only thing about it that's like dmc is the lame uninspired character design for the hero.

Ah, so it's gonna have the shitty roll around like a retard combat instead of fun combos and stuff. No interest then.

how should I get better, then?

Learn to manage stamina.

Try to fight one enemy at a time.

Run back if you have to in order to create some space between you and your enemies.

Learn enemy attack patterns.

It gets easy once you stop button mashing and stop running in wildly.

>treasure in water
>jump in
>death

>go around
>seem to be a path underwater but can't see shit
>go mostly blind
>slip off
>death

I mean it has some depth to the combat. It's deeper than dark souls, parry system, different stances for each weapon with advantages/disadvantages.

But yeah it's similar to dark souls.

It's less rolling and more shifting or blocking with your weapon. Unlike souls there's a combo system and 3 different attack modes for 5 different weapons outside of ranged

>Playing as a literal sailor
>Step into water
>"Freed from this mortal coil"

Really glad this game pulled a Vice City on me with no warning

Never had it preordered but it just generally did nothing for me. Maybe when it's in the bargain bin I'll pick it up.

Just does not scratch the same itch that Souls/Bloodborne does.

>when it's in the bargain bin

it's never coming out on Steam, though

What does Steam have to do with anything?

>Wear 80 pounds of armor
>Wow why can't i float hahaha wooooow

I was skeptical, but I really enjoyed the demo. So much of the emphasis being on stamina feels really novel. Other similar games have more emphasis on stamina, but nowhere near what Nioh does. It feels like a really distinct experience despite its obvious influences.

Doesn't wear leg armor and feet armor, doesn't carry weapons. He's got like a half load.

Are you me?

Dude he's only wearing upper body

Hell swimming in my fucking ACUs is harder with a fake weapon and a rucksack

it's like a souls game made by someone who thinks the reason people like souls games is that they're hard

>not wearing anything
>step in water
>die anyway

The joke
Your head

i wish it did, action mode is ugly

>he doesn't have a PS4pro

It looks great on the Pro. The problem is you have to buy a Pro.

It's not the demo itself is getting easier.
You just got gud.

If no pro, VFR movie mode is actually somewhat bearable, it stays around 45FPS which already feels better than 30fps -- the variance may be noticeable at times though

it's more about the layout of enemies in the demo

not many gang rapist, not many fast enemies, etc..

Lacquer armor is less dense than water. That shit would float.

>Playing this on PS4Pro with Action mode

Fug yeah

It was fun, I'm buying it.

It seriously feels like one of those ideaguy games of "It's X + Y + Z". In this case, Souls + Diablo +

I would sell my normal PS4 if BB got a 60 FPS upgrade. That would be two games I care about for it.

honestly it feels like a souls game with less polish and diablo style loot system
