Are there any 80's song in Yakuza 0 or is it all dubstep and numetal?
Is there any good list of songs like this?
>Bakufu slump
>E.Yazawa
>TM Network
Based 80s
I have no idea what the soundtrack is like. Hopefully not full of dubstep and numetal.
.
Ehhh. I'm not getting 80s vibes from this. Isn't this being taken out for the Western release though?
No, but all the weebs here should try to make one. Check out this YMO song, they were the band that backed Eikichi Yazawa in the original song I posted.
So what, j-pop oldies thread then?
It's 90s but i fucking love both songs.
youtube.com
pls more, I don't know where to find this stuff
>intro starts
>no BUBBLE
First time I really felt let down by the lack of licensed songs, since I quite like Shonan no Kaze.
Whatever, comfy old jap pop then. (Good song, by the way.)
More 80s Jap pop:
Don't Make Me Take Off My Sailor Uniform-Oyanko Club: (Idol group that had like 20 fucking members)

Blue Coral Reef-Matsuda Seiko:

Tears Request- The Checkers

>Don't Make Me Take Off My Sailor Uniform-
I remember listening to this at /jp/. Fucking japs and their sexual frustration.
That group had a lot of weird sexual songs, but they're catchy as hell. Another good one is "Otto Chikan," a song about young girls getting checked out by perverts.

these popped up in my recommendations and I love it
so is yakuza 0 paying for old 80s songs or are they making songs with 80s style? pretty interesting if so
My Tatsuro Yamashita discography
Please post more guys, I'm loving this.
>insert Initial D ost here
wtf not listening to Hi NRG
classy bid
is there popular japanese music that isn't just knock off western tunes?
How about Enka?

the boredoms
This whole album. A good chunk of it's in English, too.
youtube.com
I hope the soundtrack has some 80s songs in there.
Have a listen to the most popular (and gayest) single of 1988 when Yakuza 0 takes place. :^)
>80s j-pop thread
>crtl + f
>no miki matsu--
Oh, never mind.
i put them on and i've been subjected to what can only be described as raging screaming autism for the last 15 minutes.
Fuck why is old Jap music is good? It's right up with mexican oldies.
they're a noise band!
>literal fart noises
it just ain't music m8-e
Decadence and lost times.

Not from the 80's but these songs make me feel nostalgia for a time/place that I've never been to. Is there a word for that?
Vicarious Nostalgia?
That Miki Matsubara track is fucking amazing and now my favorite, thanks for showing it to me user.
Here's a classic.
This is some straight up pimp shit.

Too bad Yakuza 2 was the only Yakuza game that had Jazzy themes like that one tune from Crazy Ken Band. I swear all of that sexual tension & build up, Kiryu & Kaoru even had a professional Jap jazz theme to go along with their romance. The Sega faggots just drop her by the time Y3 rolls around.
Tatsuya from the Black Panther Yakuza games & Kaoru both went to the USA. I find it funny how every character from Yakuza who goes to the USA, always disappears and is never heard from again.
youtube.com
This sounds like an 80s version of the theme song from Kitano's Sonatine.
That guy in the right looks like Majima.
Quick question
I preordered this game
But how is the free roam
It's not barren and ubisoft-esque right?
Couldn't find a good version of this on Youtube but it's outstanding:
soundcloud.com
Sounds like a Teena Marie beat, nit that there's anything wrong with that. This is pretty dope.
no the city is pretty populated and shit
feels nice and lively. there's lots of stores and shit to do, people are always coming up and trying to beat you and shit
What kinda activities are there
>yasuyuki okamura
boy he really aged like wine huh
Batting Center
Mahjong
Gambling(Western and Japanese games)
Club Sega Arcade with Outrun, Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, Hang-on(I think), and the UFO catcher
Darts
Bowling
Telephone club/Telekura
Catfighting ring where you watch a bunch of sluts beat each other up(not that fun)
Real Estate Management with Kiryu
Cabaret Management with Majima
and more
don't get a good old jpop thread on here often, have some of my favorites

>Cabaret Management with Majima
Tell me this isn't going to be as boring as Akiyama's in Y5.
*Y4, I mean.
best karaoke song from 5 coming through

DAME DA NE
DAME YO
DAME NANO YO
I'm a little interested in this game but I've never played any in the series.
Is this a good single-player experience? I like some of the goofy things I've seen.
Wot about Enka with R&B style singing?
youtube.com
I wonder who she is. I wanna fuck her.
It's a great brawler but don't expect a GTAesque sandbox.
you groove, you lose
I would post more Anri but because youtube is so fucking gay, all I can link is the macross version youtube.com
Why does this company hate niche songs that aren't on Vevo? So much jap music is always removed.
>implying Sega paid the royalties for licensed songs in the EOP release
My nigga.
Go listen some Mishio Ogawa/Chakra too
>The Checkers
my nigga
You're remembering music you used to listen in a past life
There's plenty of Japanese music on youtube, you just need to look harder.
That being said Japanese copyright is overzealous
Thanks for the recs, everyone. I'll go back a little further with some late 70's stuff as well as 80's.

Where can i get old songs like these in good quality beside jpopsuki? I don't have account there unfortunately.
I'm talking about Anri specifically as well as other artists like COIL. I look for japanese music and I find it but the problem is that it's gone two weeks later
Old youtube was much better
it was, but you really just gotta find a good starting point and you're still bound to find something
youtube.com
Thanks user
Holy shit, I could kiss you user. I've been looking for that second song for YEARS. Just when I was starting to study moon runes, I found this song and added it to my Jewtube favorites, and then the video got deleted and I couldn't find it again.
is there a nice and big torrent of huge amounts of such music anywhere?
What's that music video that has that clips with a /fit/ japanese girl in an 80's kung fu movie?
I'm sure I've seen it in a thread similar to this, the song was pretty good too.
seriously? I see one of her songs recommend to me on youtube nearly everyday lol, plus I've seen it posted on twitter too.
Speaking of lost songs, if anyone can find me a copy of LABYRINTH by Miho Yonemitsu I would be very thankful
this is so fucking good
sounds like elfamosodemon's work, let me see if I can find it
I don't know about torrents, there used to be a site, voodoo: the vault. Great site for old jpop. Could try JPDDL
this one? Could also be the other user's reply, or a few others.
youtube.com
Winner! Anyone know what movie it is anyway?
I can't tell what it is other than it has Sammo Hung
I think there's a few, but Jackie Chan appears in a few of the clips so that would be a good starting point.
>that feel when nobody on Sup Forums recognizes the film stars that play major characters in Zero
Thanks anons, as always yakuza threads are the best threads on Sup Forums
>be in Japan
>go to some 'dining bar'
>some Cuban musicians are playing 80's pop cover
>they start playing Seiko Matsuda's 'Red Sweet pea'
>mfw
...
found one of em at least
what about 80s covers
youtube.com
that's a start, thanks man

Happy to help, men.
>Expecting normies to know 80's and 90's Yakuza movies that Yakuza series was inspired on since Y1
They only started to know 80's japanese music because of vaporwave so what do you expect?
Why would I recognize some fucking japanese TV actors, dude? I don't live in Japan. I just wanna kick some suckers in the head as Kiryu.
Ayami;_;
Can the first two games be emulated decently on a toaster? I don't have a ps3, so no story recap for me.
She'll be back one day user
