name 16 games that do this

i'm sure someone's done something like this at least partially but i think it would be cool to play some sort of game with an MC that has mental issues and controls differently or something occasionally

>MC becomes depressed
>Turns to the screen and pleads questions you could never answer

I'd rather the game made the player become depressed.

>Main character is depressed
>Game over if too much annoying shit happens.

I can name at least one. In Earthbound Ness could become homesick. Sometimes in battle he wouldn't act until you went back home to cure it.

>throught the game mc thinks something is controlling him to do terrible things
>game ends with mc giving up on life
>just sits on the ground refuses inputs
>have close the exe to end the game

That's pretty cool.

Is this a "gameplay mechanics that tie into story" thread now?
I know FFVII used it a lot.
For example when cloud kills Sephiroth in the nibelhiem reactor he is equiped with a pre-emptive materia.

>Playing Naruto: Rise of a Ninja
>Game starts off with the village shunning Naruto
>You can only walk very slowly through the village as people call you names
>Sad music plays in the background

Honestly I enjoyed the Naruto games on Xbox 360, they're kind of underrated. The graphics were pretty fucking nice for a Naruto game.

>MC figures out he's being controlled
>fights you
>loses
>comes home with a new gf while you stay a NEET

Didn't that shit happen in the sims too? I remember that if your sim absolutely hated life and you made him do something sometimes he would just not fucking do it and start crying

>MC starts the game depressed and having given up
>push buttons and take control of the situation

visited that place, it was pretty cool

That's pretty cool.
Is that the game that was handled by Ubisoft?

The Cat Lady was alright.

Those hands always creeps me out.

>MC becomes depressed
>you can relate and you shoot yourself

tf2 at round end as losing team

>MC gets pissed off
>controller rumbles violently and heats up until it breaks
>the games playing itself jon

tf2's original artstyle looks like OP's image

name uno vidya

>MC becomes depressed
>lets himself die

not him but don't starve and tf2

Darkest Dungeon

>tf2
>character gets depressed
huh?

if I wanted to experience that shit I can do it IRL for free

>player is depressed
>spends time on the internet instead of playing games

>Sitting down in dry, threshed grass.

That shit is stabbing her all over. It is not comfortable or pleasing at all.

She's depressed, user.

she has polio, possibly can't feel it. she isn't sitting there for comfort purposes but because she's paralyzed

source: title of painting

>MC wants a massage
>game walks you through placing the vibrating controller firmly on your dick
MGS was weird.

>Poliovirus is usually spread from person to person through infected fecal matter entering the mouth.

dumb shiteater

>recruit Kumatora in Mother 3
>in the previous cutscene she used a spell on you
>if you look at her PP, you'll see the game took the cost of PK Fire from her max

It's okay to go ass-to-mouth in the heat of the moment.

...

Wasn't polio widespread back in the mid 20th century? Were there that many people into scat at the time?

Frogger

It was from drinking water from dirty rivers and shit. Use your head mate.

People shat into rivers.
Water companies used bad water sources through which the river could leak.
People then drank the water with river shit in them, since it was the only water around.

Metal Gear Rising

Wonder Project J2?

That's absolutely disgusting

19th century was a filthy time, the industrial revolution fucked with people.

desu shit-water was common prior to the industrial revolution as well though

I kind of wish I lived in a place where I could lay in grass, in middle of nowhere, seeing nothing but grass and sky for miles all around me. No people, no cars, sparse architecture. What would that even feel like? I've never been outside a suburb.

it feels fucking great
I live not too far from where that was painted

You don't need to go home to cure homesick. You only need to call your mom on the phone. She says something encouraging, which makes you feel better.
