Be black.
foosies, unga, and bunga,
Don't get hit
Playing Melty Blood
Hit the other guy, don't let him hit you.
lows must be blocked low but overheads cannot be blocked low.
play mind games with your opponent.
That's it for fundamentals. After that you learn to maximize your damage through combos, then system nuance.
Be an autistic manchild who has no job or life and does nothing but practice fighting games multiple hours everyday until he can brag and claim he's good at something.
Also this, for some reason black people really love fighting games. I had two black friends that played nothing but weeb fighting games, they owned a lot of them plus Street Fighter and Marvel VS Capcom. As well as Blazblue, Persona Arena, Skullgirls, etc.
That's all they played, and they were addicted to getting good at it and fighting one another.
don't do this
teaches bad form, most characters have combos that are too similar to each other with the only difference being timing. play something like usfiv, kof, or the tutorial of skull girls
execution, reactions, spacing
this. melty blood is absolutely terrible
How to play in the normal game, reading opponents movements, corner pressure, basic combos for the character and blocking.
autism.
I like how faggot loser nerds deem being proficient in something as "autistic"
maybe if you weren't infinitely inept in every single thing you do, you would know what it feels like to be good at something, and stop hating.
hold down+back to block
press down+heavy punch when they jump at you
Congrats, now you can beat 95% of players
The moment I realized MK9 was a bad competitive game was when someone pulled off a babbality (which requires you to never block for the match) at an evo top 8.
Fundamentals are just the basic nuances each game has.
Like in SF you need to be able to anti-air jumps and Guilty Gear you need to be able to deal with wake up throws.
Generally it's really simple knowledge you'll gain over time as long as you identify common scenarios you run into and the plays around/with them. Fundamentals can bleed into other games, but games don't necessarily have the same fundamental play.
Hey, I'm inept at everything I do, and I'm not one of those people who call everything autistic. Don't lump me in with them.
spacing and empathy
MASH
Be asian
pick a top tier
LOW
Don't walk into a punch and get hurt like a retard.
why do people keep recommending the tutorial to skullgirls when blazblue did a much better job teaching stuff
CALORIE THIEVING
Never give up.
Trust your instincts.
skullgirls is cheaper
blazblue has annoying weeb voiceovers
guilty gear's tutorials are better anyways
carpal tunnel
Why not just be the god of blocking, and be able to block everything while putting out your one attack that's fast enough to hit them on a block?
This is something I don't understand. People always make fun of blacks saying they have low IQ etc. But then when it comes to fighters, some of the best players are black dudes with tons of mechanical skill.
How late am I to jump on the Blazblue train?
Well, no wonder you don't understand it. ;)
>Pick a shoto
>Keep throwing fireballs at your enemy
>Continue to throw fireballs until they get mad and jump in on you
>Dragon punch
>Repeat
Fundamentals for Tekken:
1. Launch opponent.
2. Juggle the now defenseless opponent, depleting half of his life bar.
3. Repeat.
Note: Never use any other moves besides your fighter's launcher and juggle combo.
Niggas have a sense of rhythm developed from years of hip hop and guetto music. The best players are actually asian.
naw all the best players are asians. niggers just like to pretend they're good for some reason
Of course asians are the best, but I'm saying the nogs who are invested tend to be better than most players.
You mean Xrd? Because XX had no tutorials
A majority of fighting skill requirement is the technical side, and your ability to pull off varied, complex combos that cover as possible many defensive options of your opponent as possible. The rest of it is limiting their play as much as possible and limiting the risks and managing your resources as best as possible. There actually isn't much thinking involved beyond deciding how to approach, which mix-up to use and prediction/luck of the guess.
Blacks have always had physical talent so of course they could learn some fighting's high mechanical side.
Not at all, CF is the final installment meaning you won't have to deal with a bunch of random sequels.
Just be yourself.
So what you're saying is, Blacks probably have innately good motorskills and muscle memory.
just don't put them in water because their innate super powers can't help them intuit how to swim
LMAO
Be a mindreader AND have crazy good luck. Those are the only two real universal fundamentals. Fighting games are complex games of rock paper scissors with a lot of flair.
Also, BB wasn't legit until CP anyway. It was pretty much a casual party game before that.
i think it's more like high speed chess. you constantly have to make reads/predictions based on your opponents tendencies and thought process.
You're at a disadvantage when defending due to mix-ups.
And if your opponent knows you're just going to block everything he won't throw out anything that's easily punishable unless it's guaranteed.
That's glorifying it a whole lot
dragon punch on recovery
congrats, you are now invincible
>Nogs excell at games that center arlund violence
Really makes you think
People that don;t play fighting games: The Thread.
How many times does it need to be said? Sup Forums doesn't play fighting games.
Hell, Sup Forums rarely ever plays videogames, period.
but we have daily sfv threads where all of us play together, and people here even play in GG/BB lobbies sometimes
Sfv is shit.
Don't get hit.
>SonicFox
>Sanford Kelly
>AfroCole
AfroCole was the first American to beat the Japs to win SF at Evo. He remained the only person to do so for years.
Adaptation is more important than anything.
>What are fighting game fundamentals?
Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting
Super Turbo is acceptable, but not preferred
You perfectly described Marvel and Anime games. But to limit the game of prediction in most games to an offhand remark is silly. Unless the game has a completely abusive strat there is a lot of thought that goes into outsmarting the opponent.
>a gay furry who plays shit that has no international competition
brava sonicfox. brava
what has sanford ever won? marvel 2?
speaking of marvel: does it bother you at all that a white man won marvel at evo the last 2 years in a row?
Nearly all games spoken on in Sup Forums are violent and the majority of the userbase is white.
The Japanese Skullgirls scene comes to events
He's played and won against Nip DOA players
No sure about MKX (although he wrecks Yuros and South Americans), Injustice, or Uniel.
Face it SonicFox is a kusoge king. He's even weaseled a few casual wins in SFV against Japanese. His furry autism allows him to adapt fast to any fughting game and he stays on top until people catch up (if they ever do).
Marvels been dead who cares
Chris G and KBR are both Latino.
No it doesn't bother me and I strongly believe Damdai is the strongest ST player atm. I was never trying to downplay white people, I was trying to defend that blacks have been pretty good at fighters historically.
Autism
TIER
If you want to win fighting games, you just need to know the range at which characters operate best.
Just like with a sword, spear, axe, or bow, the range and speed is all different.
Once you understand that, it all boils down to pressuring your opponent into throwing out their shit, so you can whiff punish or counter hit them.
any one up for some fightcade 3s ?
in b4 shitstorm
Blocking, spacing, poking, whiff punishes. There are probably more, but if you have those down you're good to go.
Defense is key.
Once you get good at it, you will start to see gaps between your opponents rhythm of attacks. That's when you ram it in.
In higher level play, both players will know to appreciate the observant defense play. That's when you throw fakes and feints to bait our their reaction, which you in turn fuck him right back in the ass.
