What went so horribly wrong?
What went so horribly wrong?
they tried to live up to expectations instead of making the best thing they could. I still liked it desu
>eric
>junpei's personality being completely out of place
>hurr im actually from 1904 and 124 years old
>completely drops kyle, ? and another time from the story
>MIND HACC powers
>shoehorned AYY LMAO AYYLIEN shit
>hurr I'm actually the good guy all along by killing six billion and the ebil mysterious terrorist to save humanity muh shoehorned babby's first utilitarian philosophy
>ending resolves absolutely nothing
Pandering to a new audience on the final game of a series.
There's probably more to it but that's the first thing to come to mind.
mind
hakku
Even though ZTD's ending flopped hard, the memes were amazing day 1
can't deny that.
...
Q team
Fuck the people who wanted this to be made
hey fuck you
It's difficult to boil the reason down to one word.
There were a few things I didn't like
Firstly some of the characters annoyed me, the man and woman couple or whatever they were specifically
Also the character models looked fine but I vastly would have preferred the 2D art of the other games
And honestly maybe I'm retarded but I kept up with 999 and VLR pretty well, in this game I felt like I had no fucking idea what was happening at any given time
>ruining the characterization of jumpy, phi, and akane
>ayylien typewriter
>le complex motive man
>fucking up literally every loose plot point that VLR lead into. like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCKING HELL. FUCK YOU
>wew lads I killed 6,000,000,000 billion people for a good reason I swear!!!!! :^)
>snail is most ebil :DDD
and worst of all
>the ending doesn't solve shit, humanity is still fucked, everything akane did is fucking useless and meaningless because the writing in ZTD fucked it up
I'm literally never going to stop being mad, holy shit.
It still hurts. And its definitely my fault for hyping myself up for it so much, but i honestly didn't expect to feel so "...thats it?" by the end
The memes were fucking great though. That whole first weekend was a wild ride
i just want to watch the stream again.
...
ok honestly
HONESTLY
what was the point of this at all? sure sigma infiltrated the base in the main timeline but why did it need to be ANOTHER nonary game? seriously, it could've been anything else. but it was ANOTHER nonary game. why??? I mean beat the game but I still don't understand it. They couldv've just done anything else that wasn't a nonary game and instead of that they did ANOTHER nonary game
like holy fucking shit, I'm not actually done shitposting angrily.
The main, "holy shit" plot twist moment of the game is supposed to be when it drops that there has been a man in a goddamned wheelchair who has just been outside of your line of sight the entire time, and nobody has been paying attention to him.
And this same man happens to be the fucking mastermind. Holy fucking shit dude, what were they THINKING
but it wasn't a Nonary Game.
it was a Decision Game.
Yes they were
And also that you were playing from that man's perspective and using his MIND HAXX to control characters in every time line except the ones in which he was dead. Why was it so stupid
>LMAO IT'S A MACHINE MADE BY ALIENS, YOU CAN LITERALLY SEND PEOPLE TO OTHER TIMELINES
that one ending where Q had to choose who to kill was so bad, there were so many things I tried that could have done it but noooo
...
>"WHO WILL YOU KILL?"
>"EVERYONE" just gives an error
now that's some bullshit right there
A snail.
Goddamn aliens and mind hacks, and probably Uchi re-writing the script after VLR.
I just don't get it, he had the whole explanation for them jumping so far into the future in Remember 11 already planned, just make it some super secret Quantum machine or something, not fucking aliens you fucking hack.
...
but how did it manage to kill off 6 billion people??
I'm probably never going to finish it because I felt 100 percent lost from the minute it started for reasons I can't totally explain. I think it's the retarded movie style cutscene shit and the awkward starting point. I don't know.
>preorder the game with the watch bonus
>watches ended up being broken during the shipment so they had to do a mass delay on them
>finally get the game weeks later
>couldnt get myself to play it
I think i ended up finally getting the game sometime in july. still havent touched it yet.
Life is simply unfair.
operation bluebird are retards
Delta's reveal is an asspull
And the ending in general is not satisfying
even OpBB doesn't like ZTD.
It butchered all returning characters, and even worse removed Akane's cuteness
>tumblr-tier shit art
suicide my nigga
What is OpBB?
...
It's an acceptable game by its own merits. As the final game in an epic trilogy, it underwhelmed in every regard. I'm incredibly disappointed that the Zero Escape series couldn't have ended on a more acceptable note, but the very fact that ZE3 wasn't going to happen and the fact it's a finished playable product is a miracle makes me unable to completely shit on it
I see thanks. Wow that must be embarrassing for them
>lmao ancient aliens left this device to transport atomic data into other timelines
>please don't ask how or why
Honestly I stopped giving a fuck half a year ago. I already moved on.
Right now I'm still trying to vent off after that Danganronpa V3 ending shitshow. It was just as bad, maybe even worse
Uchikoshi's arrogance and obsession with making a big seller. That drove him to abandon the fans, the original staff, the plot points, everything. All to chase after the Telltale audience.
Fragment system was good in theory but bad in practice since pacing was ruined
If the art was 2D we'd actually have Junpei's jacket since the underpaid modelers wouldn't have to code it in.
speaking of, is there a sub for the DR2.5 OVA yet? There's nothing on nyaa that I can see
Didn't it come out with v3 two weeks ago?
So did Uchi ever address all the dropped plot points and character personality changes? Or does he ignore any complaints made?
He damage controlled about Kyle by dismissing VLR another end as noncanon and saying bullshit that Kyle was "us"
But if we were Kyle, then who was ?
Didn't you hear me?
VLR another end is NONCANON METAFICTION
...
Blickwinkel
...
meme thread?
>AFM needs 10 months to be fully charged by a nuclear fusion reactor in the 2028
>Germany did the same in 1904
>even though that would take the same amount of electricity the whole country produced in a time span of two years, probably more
>after they put all this power into the machine it produces only two babies
>instead of sending some scientist through the machine they decide to send one of those babies instead
Did you Uchi really think this one through?
I thought it recharged itself and didn't rely on an external energy source?
people are working on subbing it. only problem is the only video out there is someone recording someone streaming through a potato while text rolls by the video because chink/jap streams are like that. also they start talking over it.
youwould think someone would have ripped it by now. but nope
They state that a massive amount of energy is required, so I would assume it had to be powered externally.
It's an alien fax machine. Get it right.
>IT WAS FOUND BY THE NAZIS IN ANTARCTICA RIGHT BEFORE WWII
I couldn't believe that shit was actually written into the game. No idea what the fuck they were thinking
Sean going on a killing rampage would be entertaining. Kind of see that with the clones though.
Seriously? you are waiting for subs? I don´t know japanese, I saw the OVA and I got everything, the writers don´t fucking care anymore about the characters, they are just unidimensionals, you can watch the ova and understand everything.
The snail unintentionally started a course of events that lead to the decision game which might or might not release rad six.
If that's real then that's a pretty interesting post.
If you could kindly direct me to the site which hosts a download then user, since the typical anime sites like nyaa don't seem to have it
...
The last thing I expected was to find Carlos and Eric more compelling and entertaining then the rest of the cast in this game.
it's from four nights ago, you could find it in the archive.
A botched game with too many shortcuts taken.
Also the very clear intent for the game to stand on his own, to let people play it without playing the series obviously didn't work in his favour.
It had to many returning characters, too many dropped plot points
Nothing I liked it, and all its cheesyness. VLR nostalgiafags will tell you its shit
...
Ditching the VLR team meant it was doomed. Everything else followed might've been at least forgivable, but without the team to make up for Uchi's insanity it couldn't work. Aside from ditching the VLR team, Uchi:
>Rewrote the script because "people on the internet guessed at twists!"
>Only wrote the D-team scenario, outsourced the others
>Made it "accessible" to new fans (Really, what the fuck?)
Meanwhile the animators were obviously inexperienced as fuck. Even admitting "We had problems with Diana's dress, so everyone else got skintight clothing" and even then it was apparently still too hard.
Fuck I need to read the rest of the infinity series to wash out the taste of this garbage. But I don't know if I can take Uchi seriously after this.
>when your mom and dad are the same age as you
I happened to fall in love with the Zero Escape series literally right before ZTD came out.
A friend gifted me a copy of VLR, I absolutely loved it, immediately tracked down 999, loved it too, despite a few personal gripes.
And then a day afterward, I played ZTD on day one. It's a rough feeling getting into a series just in time to get fucking mad about it.
At least you didn't go through the phases of despair, knowing that ZE3 would never exist due to bad sales in Japan, to a faint glimmer of hope thanks to Operation Blue bird, growing brighter and brighter as the timer counted down and it was finally announced. Should have seen the thread reaching bump limit in a matter of 15 minutes.
The crazy theories, speculation and discussion about the games.
And then it was released, and it pretty much killed any expectation the longer it was played, as you unveil the story and realise it's rubbish.
I'm interested in playing the infinity series, is there a translation of them anywhere or are they too old for people to seed?
Only bother with Ever 17.
Remember 11 and Never 7 are translated but they're shit.
