The demo has like 2. This game reminds me of Condemned, and I played that when I was 13 so I'm going to try a big boy for this one. I don't think I'm going to be able to play it with headphones on though. Even the demo with low volume still made me sweat a little, even though I had already played through it once and knew everything that would happen.

Grandma is Eveline, Patient Zero of the D-Virus. She mentally projects herself as a FEAR-style little girl and controls the Bakers and monsters through the infection.

She was created as a bioweapon by Umbrella (I guess) and being transported by Ethan's wife, Mia, on a tanker. She escaped and took over the ship, then crashed it into the bayou of Louisiana, where the Bakers found her. Eveline has a strong need for family, so she forced the Bakers to become her new family with the infection, making them immortal and kidnapping more to transform and grow the family. In the process she rapidly aged from little girl to old woman.

(I guess?) she is the one who contacts Ethan with an old video Mia recorded, to bring him to Louisiana and make him her new daddy. At the end, Ethan fucks everything up and uses a serum to kill the Bakers and Eveline (Lucas escapes).

At the end, an Umbrella helicopter rescues Ethan, with a guy who calls himself 'Redfield' leading the team. He looks nothing like Chris though. Then, it just ends like Jurassic Park.

That's because the scope of the little game is more localized and the smalltown USA imo is a lot more appealing than HOLY SHIT THE WHOLE COUNTRY/WORLD IS GONNA END. That way, the story is a bit more focused instead of the clusterfuck that was RE6

Some context: Ethan's supposed to be sitting in the driver's seat and Jack reaches over to grab the steering wheel. Ethan just kind of does nothing while Jack drives. You can only see his torso, which is why they got lazy with his legs.

There are in-game collectibles called antique coins. They're used at one of the save-points in the game to unlock various secret items - one buffs your health permanently, one buffs your reload speed permanently and the other is a magnum. The dirty coin can be used as an extra antique coin, meaning you can unlock one of these a little earlier/easier.

I'm incredibly pleased with this game. I wasn't a fan of the first-person view, but it did grow on me.

Some parts of the game are just incredibly well done, especially the basement and the ship. Happy Birthday was pretty great, too. Meanwhile the Old House was fucking trash.

I'm currently playing REmake for the first time. Only other RE title i've played is RE4 and 5. I'm currently stuck with the Shaft from courtyard B1. I understand there's probably something i need to combine with the Shaft but can't find. What am I missing?

There aren't too many, and most of them are during the beginning anyway. Most of the jump scares are just enemies falling from the ceiling, if that counts.

Though Papa Jack can pull a Mr. X which scared the shit out of me because I didn't see it on my first playthrough.

If you tend to panic easily, you'll probably be shit at this game. It's hard to aim at the enemies properly and if you get cornered you'll most likely just panic and die. At least your health regenerates when you retry.

The areas in the game are:

The ship was the best part of the entire thing, imo.

You have a Glock for the majority of the game. You can find an optional shotgun if you have the broken shotgun to switch it with. You can later go back and take the broken shotgun and replace it with a toy shotgun. Broken shotgun is actually a hunting gun.

Weapons - A few variations on a handgun, the standard is pretty weak and takes about 6 headshots to kill an enemy. You can repair a broken handgun for a slightly more powerful variant, and you get the 'Albert' in New Game Plus which just takes 2 headshots to kill.
There are a couple of shotguns, best weapon to take out Molded.
Flamethrower
Grenade Launcher

Crafting - It's not just about collecting and mixing herbs anymore. You can use a single herb on yourself, but it does shit all. You have to mix it with 'chem fluid' to make an effective healing item. However, chem fluid is also mixed with gunpowder to make handgun ammo. You get shitloads of herbs and gunpowder, but chem fluid is limited, so you keep having to choose what you need, health or bullets.

Plot - James (Ethan) gets a letter (email) from his dead wife to come to Silent Hill (Louisiana).

Ethan arrives at the Baker mansion and finds Mia, but she's infected with something and mutates into an Exorcist-looking bitch who slices off his hand. Jack knocks Ethan out, while he's unconscious Zoe (the Baker's somewhat normal daughter) staples Ethan's hand back on somehow and it works.

Ethan wakes up at a family dinner with the Bakers, with Jack Baker, Marguerite Baker (mom) and Lucas Baker (asshole inventor son), as well as an old lady. Ethan escapes the dinner, finds a cop investigating the house - the cop is killed by Jack, who shows off his D-Virus powers, as he can survive anything and is basically immortal.

Ethan gets hints from Zoe on how to navigate the mansion and that he needs to create a serum from a D-Series mummified arm and head that has to collect. He faces Jack in chainsaw showdown, where Jack seems to explode. You fight Marguerite in the old, busted mansion, where she literally has spiders infesting her swollen cooch. Lucas also runs a series of experiments and traps like Saw he lures you into.

They tried bringing in "The Family" In resident eivil 6, then dropped it completely.

Regular shotgun holds 4 shells, while the repaired shotgun holds 2. Damage doesn't really matter too much since a headshot will kill mostly everything in one hit. Aside from bosses, but the 2 shell capacity would really hurt
