Anyone know any more squad based tactics games?

Anyone know any more squad based tactics games?

I really liked XCOM 1/2 and Wasteland 2.

I need more.

Shadowrun

The shadowrun games are pretty good

man, wasteland 2 really highlighted how fucking boring and terrible a straight post apocalyptic setting with no twist is

Torment: Tides of Numenera is out on Thursday, OP.

Just sit tight, and we can post in Numenera threads together on Friday :3

Divinity: Original Sin has very well done turn-based tactical combat, but without the cover mechanics. It's more of an RPG than XCOM 2 (obviously) and Wasteland 2 though.

>no one posted Silent Storm
Try that shit. The second game is better but you might like to start with the first.

Battle Brothers looks good so far. Even the sourpusses at RPGCodex like it.

Mordheim: City of the Damned

It's like Xcom with the plot from Vermintide and gameplay that reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles.

Jagged Alliance, UFO: Enemy Unknown and Silent Storm if you're a badassed man. Also like the other user said Battle Brothers is shaping up to be really damn cool when it releases in a couple of months or so.

Copper Dreams is coming out soon? mite b cool

Is this actually good? The reviews seem mediocre

Ive been playing it but it's kind of hard. I feel like my guys can just get one shot randomly.

I really like the artstyle though and the overworld and quests act like M&B.

If you haven't gotten Valkyria Chronicles, it's on Steam sale right now for 6 bucks. As for something recent Shadow Tactics is worth getting, it's gotten pretty good reviews and even a good response by RpgCodex which tends to hate everything.

shadowrun: dragonfall and Hong kong are great if you can handle text only dialogue.

I like it obviously.
Cons i can think of:
>It can be frustrating because of RNG, like xcom.
>all the levels look the same (ruined city)
>it doesnt have a very large selection of classes/weapons
>UI could be better

Fallout Tactics

you get to explore the new world, impregnate natives and enjoy some great grid based tactical combat

How is Torment a squad based tactics game, you dope?

How so?

it bothered me that Natives were more numerous yet just as strong as you at low levels of equipment

You control a squad of people tactically

Low level equipment vs this guy and archers... doesn't seem that far off

>brainwashed by Fallout's pseudo 1950's bullshit
Good for you.

Krater.

Shit, full release and all?

Probly meas that the desert was pretty damn boring place compared to the city.

Jagged Alliance 2
Silent Storm
Battle Brothers
X-COM UFO Defense

It seemed like a good game but I honestly prefer solo games or games where your party members are autonomous with their gear management and actions in combat.
I know it seems lazy but it helps me be immersed if I just roleplay as one character that tries to influence the party instead of directly control them.

It's good and very atmospheric, though it has some problems.

It's extremely slow to play, turns can take a long time.
AI Pathfinding is horrible, enemy units get stuck all the time.

Hard West isn't bad

I came in here to say Hard West. Good DLC also.

nice to know someone else played it, such an underrated game

Xenonauts if you want an updated version of the old Xcom but set in the 70s.

user, you can't honestly recommend that game. The time it takes for the AI to finish it's turn completely kills it. It's fucking unplayable

Thought it was at the end of February?

>updated
I don't know about that, as far as ground combat goes it's closer to downgrade.

Jagged Alliance 2 is the best squad based tactics game ever made. If you get the 1.13 mod its basically heaven if you love guns, savescumming and squad banter

XPiratez

brutal

JA2 - turn based
7.62 - real-time strat with pause
Rogue Trooper, Brothers in Arms - shooter with squad elements

im 34 and wat is this?

...

XPiratez is a total conversion mod for UFO which adds a crazy amount of new shit and a weird new setting.
