How is it true? You can't jump in Furi or HLD, the perspective is totally different, combat in Ape Escape is slow paced and goals are paced entirely differently.

The only vaguely significant similarity between the games is the fact that, in Ape Escape, you use the right stick to aim some attacks in the direction you flicked the stick.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the Ape Escape series, but it's a stage-based platformer oriented around the concept of making collectibles something you fight, and solving puzzles with gadgets.

Nier Automata seems like it might be a somewhat similar type of game. If you're looking for twin-stick shooters, in particular, RIVE is an especially good one, but it doesn't play much like either of these because it's also a platformer. Assault Android Cactus is a standard but very polished twin-stick shooter focused on arenas, with some pretty good boss fights.

When I played the Nier auto tomato demo I got some furi vibes just on how the infinite dodging and firing while slashing with the sword felt so damn good like furi. Def look that shit up if you have a ps4 playing the demo wont hurt and you might enjoy yourself.

i don't have a ps4 at the moment but i want to get one for bloodborne, spiderman and probably that because platinum is dope.

i not so much into the shooting part as i am the ability to dash around and hit shit. All of it is fun but im pretty bad at bullet hells (and probably twin sticks) honestly.

Oath in Felghana has one of the best dashes in action rpgs ever.

But it's the 4th Ys you should be playing out of 5.

One of the things that made furi really great game for me was the atachments to bosses as I realized what I was doing and what was going on. Realization that I killed innocents protecting their planet hit me like a train. If you would be fighting aliens in 2 it wouldnt have this effect since they are mostly emotionless
