What are some challenge runs you've done successfully? Or not, either way.
I did Resident Evil 2 no saves no stopping obvs. I did pokemon silver nuzlocke too. I think I finished that game with three pokemon. My flaafy was my MVP, and I lost a few in the Elite Four but still made it through.
Might start up Fallout 4 and only use a baseball bat or something.

I did no shield runs of every Souls game, but not really as a challenge, just because I didn't want to go over weight, or I wanted to dual wield, and blocking is pointless anyway and just makes the game boring
I would "speedrun" Resident Evil 4 around the time of it's release. I didn't know any glitches or anything, just playing it to beat my own time. I think I got it down to 3hours flat.
I also did a no upgrade pistol run, and knife-mostly runs.
i did profesional mode knife only walking backwards in RE4 back in the day. I was a kid with very few games and too much time to spare
If you haven't done 1% Fusion or 9% Zero Mission then you're not really a Metroid fan.

Tried to finish the entire UT2k4 single player mode without dying once. It's harder than it looks, even on the lowest difficulty. I think I had to accept dying twice overall.

I fucking loved Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories as a kid and I've done just about every kind of arbitrary challenge run I can think of (everything from magic cards only to Kingdom Key only). I even looked up how to make my own cheats on VBA so I could prevent myself from gaining exp, which is probably the most fun run I've done of the game. I know that game like the back of my hand.

That's about it, I don't play many singleplayer games. Why challenge yourself against AI when humans are so much harder and more satisfying to beat?
I was just kinda going to take the first random bat I found. Or maybe I'll use a sword. But that bat has much more satisfying thwacks.
I limit myself with almost every singleplayer game. Unless it's something tactical or limiting also limits the fun.

I also did the RE4 knife only run. I made Leon carry an egg so it looked like he was jogging everywhere, and I thought it was the funniest thing.
Also did a no-death speedrun of Sonic 2, but I don't consider that particularly impressive.

La-Mulana no sub-weapons and all characters ending. Palenque was a brutal fight. Hell, all the late game guardians were.
Star Ocean 3 level 1 4D Luther. This wasn't all that bad. The Inquisitor was really annoying as the only viable strat was to use the No Movement Glitch to separate the mobs, then long O. The 2 dragon knights before bequerel were also annoying as my strat was to pray for a ice needle to freeze them. Otherwise the early game was easy with a grinded and geared Nel, and mid->late game was made stupid easy thanks to Orichalcum + Maria + Stun Bombs.

First is a simple No deaths run, Once you die, you're done.
Second is a variation of that for Multiplayer games: I call it "No man left behind," If ANYONE dies, everyone is done.
Lastly is something a little different. 2 players share one controller. I actually competed in a local Smash 4 tournament with a friend and made it half way through the tourney like that.

Saving every savable NPC in Dead Rising 1 in a single run was interesting. Shame that series has been floundering ever since. The three day survivor for the same game on the other hand was boring as shit; you just stock up, hide on a ledge and AFK for 15 minutes at a time for half of a real day while praying the 360 doesn't red ring.
A little cool thing to realise is that there are exactly seven checkpoint posts in the first zone of Sonic 2 and it takes seven trips via those posts to the special stages to get the emeralds to become Super Sonic. Of course it's not necessary with the cheat code but you could legit be super in the second level of the first zone and that was neat.

Can't progress past an area in Pokemon until you've caught everything in that area.
I've successfully done Firered, White and X. I sorta-successfully did Moon but I ended up trading for some Pokemon. I've tried Heartgold and Emerald, but I don't really think those games work as well for the type of run (neither do Moon or X, honestly). But for FRLG and B/W, its the best way to play.

The storyboards for 2.22 came out at some point and both the nude scenes with Asuka were missing the convenient censoring. Someone used those storyboards to add nipples to the scenes, and in that particular one the editor also drew in the vagina which wasn't even on the storyboard.

I did DE:HR The Missing Link with Factory Zero. Might've been playing pacifist ghost as well at the time, but I don't recall.
Beat the Zero games on S Rank, not a full 100 point play through, because I didn't bother redoing the stages.

Technically twice because the first time I did it, I realized that I forgot to switch the Buster and Z Saber around so I ended up firing a couple shots on the very first enemy I saw.
I'm talking about the ZX version mainly, I feel like his Z3 iteration was a bit lacking.
Then again, all the other vs. Zero fights left something to be desired as far as the actual fight goes.

I'm glad they fixed the hard mode in Z3, where Zero doesn't deal the extra damage like in Z2, because that's literally just Zero in proto form.

Yeah and he's significantly more difficult since his ground punch attack recharges his health. He can do the shot-shot-slash attack from X2 to hit you from a distance, and there's also one where he leaps in and does a stunlocking saber combo that's an instakill on hardmode.

RE4 Mine Layer/Knife
Seems impossible at first but if the only gun you carry is the ML, you get ammo for it constantly. It's not even that bad, bosses are annoying with it but you basically easily wipe out groups of common enemies, and even prevent Plagas from popping with a direct explosion hit (no corpse is left behind)
