Holy shit are they the heroes we deserve?

I'm not sure if I should upgrade my PC for this, or get a PS4. The former has emulation, better graphics for multiplats, and some exclusives like Planet Coaster that I'm interested in; the latter has a few exclusives like Ratchet and Clank, Gravity Rush, and some upcoming stuff that I want to try. Both would cost me the same price, too, since I already have a PC and just need a couple minor upgrades.

I currently don't have a platform because they KILLED MY VERSION.

Wii U version died so Switch version could live.

They're lucky I preordered one.

anyone?

PC version. It's not performance heavy.

I got all the quills but I couldn't find the switch the robot showed you.

What attracts you more? I'd say PC and just get the ps4 later.

what are the recommended specs anyway?
they are pretty-much exactly equal

Can't wait for this game to end up being really good, and watch Sup Forums shit on it denying it's good,
because
>Kikestarter

As someone who has both, I'd say PS4 because it's getting so many good exclusives and has most of what PC has unless you are into early access survival games.

I'm biased so take what I say with a grain of salt. But I think while the PS4 has a strong line up for games this year you'd still be better going with PC considering its current exclusives, emulation and the ability to go visit older games.

I'd cry desu senpai I have hope.

Why haven't I heard anything about this game? And how big is the open world?

Any backers in here?

What was the "+" content in the Toybox+?

>Why haven't I heard anything about this game?

Because you haven't sought out information on it.

He already has a pc which can do all those things so getting a PS4 is the best choice because exclusives

You haven't heard anything about the game because for once, its developers are busy developing it instead of just shilling it everywhere.

shill me on the PS4's upcoming games pls, I don't know much about them and the little I've seen hasn't really caught my attention

Well, I can emulate already up to gamecube games pretty-much. As I said, I already have a PC with ok hardware, I just need some minor upgrades to play current-gen and future games optimally. I'm also not sure many of the exclusives on PC are of interest to me.

Is this like the Mario for console and pc?

are they refusing your refund too?

Sorry but a lizard and a bat look fucking retarded as a protagonists...

Mammal Protags only pls..

its exactly what i thought it would be when i played the toy box, which is okay... It's a Banjo Kazooie clone, in more ways than just the characters. I will be a fun game, but when we all look back on it at the end of this year we will remember Banjo Kazooie being the superior game.

No, not really they are peddling a dead genre to fat disgusting nostalgic neck beards.

Pc

Nioh
FF VII Remake
Death Standing
God of War
Spider Man (not sure if this will be good or not yet)
Horizon Zero Dawn
Uncharted
Ace Combat 7
That "Wild" Game
Bloodborne
Last Guardian
Ni No Kuni II
Crach Bandicoot
Ratchet and Clank

Some others I'm probably forgetting. It has and is getting more exclusives than all other platforms unless you count all the endless shitty indie games on PC.

>Mammal Protags only pls..

Uhhh, user...

>Spider Man (not sure if this will be good or not yet)
you could say that about any game. Seriously, how much gameplay of these have been shown? Probably like 2 hours tops for all of those combined

It's the Banjo Kazooie for PC, current gen consoles and Switch.

Spider Man I don't think we've seen any of. Some of them are out already and the rest we have seen either lots of gameplay or not too much. But what games does PC have? Literally a mountain of unfinished crafting/survival games, some point and click games, some dated RTSs and the promise of a potentially good space sim.

So what kind of sophisticated, relevant games do you play, one of great fitness and hygiene?

What nigger?

Bats *ARE* mammals. In fact they're the only flying mammal...which means Kazooie is NOT a mammal...

you're supposed to be 18 to post here, kid...

ALL MAMMALS HAVE HAIR AND I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE STRAND ON A BAT.

This must be bait

[bat_hair.jpg]

You should try actually looking, with your eyes.

only 3 of those are actually out, 1 of which I'm interested (surprisingly not Bloodborne, I hate Souls games). It's kind of silly to suggest these future games are going to be better than future games for PC. I'd rather hear the opinion of someone that has both platforms, since you come across as biased already to me.

that's fur and not hair

Where do dolphins keep their hair?

My rule for buying a console is thus:
Cost/50

What secrets await us Sup Forums?

there's only 3 games right now that I want to play which are exclusive, but I don't know if anything upcoming might be worth it as well.

it will be nothing at all

I have both, jackass. You're merely saying I'm bias because I'm favoring the future prospects of PS4s lineup over what you'd rather hear. I can't think of much else besides Star Citizen and mount and Blade 2 and Kingdom Come. And of those I'm really only hyped for Star Citizen which may end up being another snooze fest of a space sim but I have hopes.

I'd hold off and do a little research then, personally. I got a great deal on my Wii U, so I don't feel bad about only getting 3 good games out of it, but in retrospect I kind of wish that I'd spent the money elsewhere. I'd hate to urge you to get the platform and then you not get the kind of games you want out of it. It's got some decent exclusive JRPGs, and Uncharted 4 is almost worth the price of admission by itself, but if those sorts of games don't appeal to you and you're not interested in getting updates of older games like Kingdom Hearts I can't fairly tell you 'yes, definitely buy a PS4.'

The part with enemies and the big slide.

Is there a fucking difference? You have hair on your arms, don't you?

Only manly japanese titles

>I'm favoring the future prospects of PS4s lineup over what you'd rather hear.
no, it's because you favored the future prospects at all, rather than taking into account their current merit. Saying anything upcoming will be good or bad is a pointless execise, since you simply cannot know unless it's out or at least has substantial gameplay evidence out there supporting the notion.

you should turn your wii u into a piracy machine, there's plenty of games to try out for it and it can run any nintendo game bar 3DS. I'd wait, but I really want to play Yooka Laylee (not at launch, I ain't foolish, but within a month of its release once reviews start coming in if it ain't shit I want to be ready). I guess it'd make more sense for me to decide after it comes out, though...then again, there are a few other current-gen games that I want to try (I just ain't particularly excited by them).

Personally, I don't like cover shooters or adventure gameplay with scripted action sequences, so I don't think Uncharted would be for my tastes - I like racing games, platformers, RPGs (somewhat), most puzzle games. Things like that.

It's not just that I disregard the merit of upcoming PC games, it's just there really aren't any outside of the typical shovelware type games that continually flow in.

Pirate treasure

Well, for racing games, PC gets Forza Horizon 3, but PS4 gets Gran Turismo Sport, so that comes down to franchise preference. PS4 has a mountain of puzzle and 2D platformers on the digital store, and overall the platform has a decent mix of J and WRPGs available, though not many of them are exclusive. FF XV has been a grand time for me, and Atelier Sophie is a lot of fun and much less stressful than some of the prior Atelier games. Tales of Berseria just came out, and I've heard good things, and despite complaints from the fanbase, I personally am enjoying Zestiria quite a bit.

as someone with a neutral (albeit somewhat uninformed) view between the 2 platforms, that statement means nothing to me - for all I care, both platforms may be getting shovelware in future instead of quality games I'd enjoy.

I've never played a Horizon game, but I used to really love the GT franchise. Is it still good since the PS3 ones (that I didn't really try)?
>PS4 has a mountain of puzzle
are they like "full" games though, or mostly indies and budget releases?
I'm intrigued by FFXV, but I'm really not sure whether I'd love it or hate it, and it's even harder to tell as response on the game has been incredibly mixed as well.

>Horizon
meant Forza game, herp

>the heroes we deserve?
Certainly not.
The ones we want? Maybe.
Toybox was a great sign for the game as a whole tho, even if it's only 5 worlds. I'm just gonna wait for launch since I've already played the Toybox and have 0 incentive to even consider a pre-order.

GT has pretty well retained all the things that people liked about the franchise on PS1 and PS2. If you've got Windows 10, you can grab a demo of Horizon 3 of the Windows store to check that out. The PS4 entry is supposed to be out later this year, and it looks spectacular. The puzzle games are mostly smaller titles, though Deception 4 is pretty full fledged and has enough interesting ideas to be worth a look, Last Guardian is exactly at the level of polish and intrigue that you'd expect from Team Ico, and Escape Plan was solid and surprisingly tough in the later levels.

People are already finding Speedrun tricks.

>The PS4 entry is supposed to be out later this year
do you know when, exactly?
I wasn't impressed from what I saw of TLG, I don't feel its design makes much sense to have Trico not follow your instructions in a game where it can result in your death. I understand that this was done to focus on the connection between the 2 characters, but as a gameplay mechanic it just looked frustrating to me, but maybe it's one of those ones where you have to experience it to get it.

No hard date yet, unfortunately. You could always try Driveclub in the interim. It's dirt cheap and should at least tide you over until GT comes out. I think there's still a free version available as well. As far as TLG goes, it really is a 'you have to try it to understand' kind of thing. There's something undeniably lifelike about how Trico moves and behaves, and the frustrating moments for me were far enough between that it never really hampered my enjoyment of the game. Plus there's something incredibly cool about watching this thing jump up to you, or riding on its back as it maneuvers jumps far beyond your own ability. It's some real Neverending Story type stuff. It's worth at least a rental, I'd say.
