Of course they make games, and some of them are the most fun I've ever had. The problem is the problem is the severe lack of quantity.

Switch has like 4 high profile games coming in its first year, literally only one of which I actually want. Even if I wanted all 4, that just isn't enough.

Launch lineup's kinda barren but if 2017 does end up with Splatoon, MK8, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem Warriors and Dragon Quest, that beats the shit out of most other consoles launch years. Plus they're practically guaranteed to show more new stuff at E3.

I didn't say that was the only reason, but it was definitely a contributing factor. Splatoon is actually a decent game though. SF0 is not.

To be perfectly honest. It's pretty embarassing how many low scares Splatoon got simply due to how the reviewers can't handle gyro and due to how many of them for whatever the reason considered built-in voice chat to be required.

Really? 4 years on the shelf and the Wii-U might have had around 10 must play titles. That's an acceptable amount of games for a year, maybe a year and a half. But 4 years?

Roughly. It might be a few more if they're shorter, or it might be less if I buy something like Animal Crossing that I autistically play for weeks on end. The problem is that it's 10 great games over a 4 year period, and people have varying tastes, so most people aren't going to be interested in even half of them.

They should have delayed the release of the switch. As it is, they're just shooting themselves in the foot. With so few games not many people are going to buy, and just like the Wii-U it's gonna grind third party support to a halt, leaving Nintendo to try and hold up the system all by themselves again.

There wasn't much quality in Mario Party 10, Game & Wario, Captain Toad, Wii Party U, Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Star Fox Zero, and so on...

Donkey Kong games takes time, especially 3D open world Donkey Kong games.

Does anyone even like Warriors games? They're boring and repetitive. Nintendo fans probably only got their first taste when Koei Tecmo slapped a Zelda skin on it. But that formula is dated.
