Kek, just use an emulator instead

Why would anyone pay for games they can get for free via an emulator?

Don't see why it wouldn't be, as long as it's better than what it was on the Wii U, I'd be satisfied

Thiiiiiiiis, Mario should be public domain at this point. It's only bad laws that make this shit OK.

Portable N64's are nice to have. A laptop's a bit too bulky for that.

Nintendo is retarded. Don't expect anything from them.

Because it's portable.

Because it's spherical

the only difference is the brightness

Why would anyone pay for games since you could just pirate most of those?

>N64 emulation
>In any sort of acceptable state
Funniest post I've seen all day.

There's several N64 emulators available for android, just get a decent game pad for it

Phones can easily run n64 emulators
Just use Your phone and a ps4 Controller

They should put Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 on it. They'd work great with the individual joycons.

It's also desaturated and ugly.

Which is what he was trying to point out

No Z-button.

???

Get a better PC user

>paying for VC games
Not only is that shit overpriced, Nintendo also makes you re-buy the games every time you get a new console.

Z is just an L button

Might as well just get the Switch at that point.

Surely stopped the Wii U from getting N64 VC, right?

I believe the switch has ZR and ZL buttons again

Try playing something that isn't Mario or Zelda, user.

Then what's the L button?

My bad then. I thought the Joycon setup only had one set of shoulder buttons.

That's like saying Mickey Mouse should be PD. Your retarded

It serves as the proper L button for games that were dpad focused.

I don't see how you think the Z button is some magical input that can't be replicated when the reality is that it's just another shoulder button and both can be accomodated on any modern controller.

He shouldn't be since he's a trademarked character, but his early cartoons should be public domain.

Why don't you get/make something like pic related.

express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/757449/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-stock-news-Fire-Emblem-Heroes-Rockstar-Switch
did anybody see this shit
LA FUCKING NOIR
WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT

Or just buy something like this

I'll be sure to buy these and mention you guys so you get a good commission. What are your names?

I just want Nintendo to announce what's happening with honouring VC purchases on previous platforms.
They've got their unified account system so everything is tied to the account now and Reggie keeps saying "we've heard your concerns, we'll have something for you" but they still haven't said anything.

didn't the Kotaku interview suggest that because everybody has a nintendo account the purchases will cross over

>the only difference is the brightness
Get fucked.
The analogue deadzone calibration for N64 games is completely fucked.
F-Zero X was borderline unplayable because of that until they patched it. Every other N64 game still suffers from it as well.

do these play switch games

That's what they've been hinting at but I want official confirmation on how it works.
I don't trust Nintendo not to fuck it up somehow.

One of them plays skyrim.

Can the switch play 1% of what the gpd win plays?

Gamecube stuff is, why wouldn't N64 be a guarantee?

Well I'll be dammed, even Rockstar is making the switch.

>Gamecube stuff is confirmed.
Not with the controllers not having analogue triggers, it isn't.

>VC could easily make Nintendo El-O-Dee-Es of Ee-Em-O-En-Ee.
>They blunder it this hard.

How do this company manages to not go bankrupt is beyond me.

the switch is gonna have the best virtual console library

>nes
>snes
>n64
>gamecube

>gameboy
>gameboy color
>gameboy advance
>ds

Who said it will be good emulation?

Stop speaking in code you fuck

Judging by how terribly and slowly vc has jumped from system to system, I highly doubt it.

I still bet they'll want people to rebuy things again.

Fuck you for leaving out Master System, Mega Drive, Game Gear, Turbografx 16 and PC Engine.
I hope they make it to the Switch as well. I want to play co-op Streets of Rage 2 on long train trips.

L/R for soft presses
ZL/ZR for full presses

Great, you get a fraction of the input options you had with analog triggers.

Yaaaaay.....

that doesn't answer my question
do they play switch games

It did answer your question, it can play one of the games currently announced for switch.

Again, can the switch play 1% of the games the gpd win can play?

Then don't buy them.

Saying it's impossible because of the shoulder buttons is just retarded. Pretty sure there are classic controllers with analog triggers anyway, like this one.

What games

you can't use that with the switch.

Your PC already can, why do you need it? Your PC can't play switch games yet.

Then don't buy the games if the shoulder buttons are a deal-breaker.

If you think it's just factually impossible to work around that then I don't know what to say to you.

that is completely irrelevant, i'm not buying the switch to play pc games
Mario Kart 8 deluxe
Zelda BOTW
Splatoon
ARMS
SnipperClips
Super Mario Odyssey

My pc can already emulate some of the games switch will have and that's getting better al the time, and the switch is kinda pointless except as a portable.

That thing is portable and plays tens of thousands more games, so, I'd probably just stick with that.

then what's Z

>that is completely irrelevant, i'm not buying the switch to play pc games

Cool, cause it emulates everything from some gamecube and wii games on down, so you don't have to play pc games.

You are buying a switch to play portable console games, I bought that to play portable console/arcade/pc games.

>You are buying a Switch to play games only on the Switch
ftfy

>My pc can already emulate some of the games switch will have
It can't emulate any if its games right now beyond MK8, and it doesn't run well.

>so, I'd probably just stick with that.
Good for you, it doesn't have Switch games so people still want the Switch.

Why buy extra hardware to play games my PC already plays? This is the argument used against Nintendo consoles/handhelds all the time, so why doesn't it apply to other redundant hardware? Oh, right, it doesn't fit your shitposting narrative.

Oh you want TV out? Mine has that, too.

It's great, cause I can bring any multiplayer shit people want to parties, jackbox, arcade games, whatever.

I can also use any controllers I want with the thing.

Cool, but does it have Switch games?

If the NES classic edition is anything to go by, emulation on Switch should be better because it's the same team that did the emulator for the NES classic

Literally no problems. Try upgrading to a meatier form of toaster such as the Kenmore Elite Convection Oven

>It can't emulate any if its games right now beyond MK8, and it doesn't run well.

Have you not actually looked at wii u emulation progress in over a year?

youtube.com/watch?v=CY1YLnUlWLI

youtube.com/watch?v=MFXUiEX3XAQ

youtube.com/watch?v=mTCMxWWyk_4

Cemu has had amazing development. It's not even outlandish to expect BOTW emulation at this point.

>Good for you, it doesn't have Switch games so people still want the Switch.

Also, you realize this thread is people asking to play emulation on the switch, right?

Then buy your chink knock-off handheld

How have I never seen this said. Banana Blitz was an okay game, but with Joycons it would probably be even better. They just need standard controls as an option with the good minigames from 1 and 2 back.

>Wii U emulation
Cool, so how does that help me play Switch games?

>he thinks cemu will run on his dinky little handheld computer that barely runs skyrim at 15fps

because for a few months, the only decent switch games are wii u games

You don't have to get mad because you didn't know anything about cemu. That's how you learn.

Splatoon 2 and ARMS are on Wii U?

They would have to put an N64 in the Switch like how they put a GameCube in the Wii. I'm not sure even Nintendo knows how to emulate an N64.
>n64
>emulation
LOL.

I just responded to someone saying that wii u emulation was shitty and only worked, poorly, with one game.

Chill.

I'm not even the handheld guy.

I just like emulating shit.

splatoon and arms arent coming out until months after launch

But I played all those games already

CEMU plays switch games now? That's quite an accomplishment!

not sure what rock you live under, but n64 emulation has been a thing for like 15 years

Haven't used n64 emulation in 10 years, eh?

Most notable games work just great.

You wanted to bring up cemu, man.

Maybe just learn to gracefully accept that being shown you were mistaken isn't something to get upset over.

Now you know that cemu works great, you won't make that mistake again.

ARMS comes out in the spring and Splatoon summer. Fast RMX, Bomberman and Snipperclips look fine too, and are all out in March.

I'm not getting one until Mario comes out though.

Everyone on Sup Forums is not the same person.

Then you are randomly jumping at someone for something they didn't say, and that's just stupid.

I already said I only responded because of what that guy said about cemu.

Everyone on Sup Forums is not the same person, dude.

>Then you are randomly jumping at someone for something they didn't say
Then don't directly reply to posts and expect the person you're responding to magically know you're not the person he was just talking to.

N64 emulation exists, but it's nowhere near the quality of Dolphin or other Nintendo emulators. The few games that are playable have tons of graphical errors.

>ARMS comes out in the spring
They did that on purpose, didn't they?

>expect the person you're responding to magically know you're not the person he was just talking to.
I directly said I wasn't that person.

It's literally two posts above yours.

I can't read FOR you.
You've got to make some effort at some point.

>The few games that are playable have tons of graphical errors.
>Few games that are playable

The vast majority of the 64 library is definitively playable in emulation.

You can also render them at higher resolutions, like with dolphin. It's not as nice as dolphin, but it hasn't been how you are describing it in more than a decade.

I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Here, you should probably educate yourself a little on this.

bhemuhelp.co.nf/n64mgcl/N64ConfigList.htm

This isn't even that up to date.

canr wait to pay for my roms all over again bros

Well, the Wii was a great emulation machine and I wouldn't have doubted that the Switch will get a great VC library but then there was the WiiU that had a abysmal VC library and it took like3 years to get N64 VC.

Apparently colors are fucked in the WiiUVC I think even SNES VC has something with the colors.
But I enjoy the playing VC games with the gamepad

And don't forget that the Wii U VC didn't even get half as many games as the Wii VC.

nes vc also had problems on the wii u.

That sure seems like a 100% credible source.

Yeah, there is only one reason to play VC games on the WiiU and that's the remote play

Ugh, I mean, I wouldn't even do that.

There's a dozen other devices in my house that could play those better and some of those are mobile, too without having such short range.

Can GPD Win emulate N64 as well as a Wii?

It's a windows laptop essentially, so yes, and more games than a wii can.

There's videos of people showing what it can emulate on youtube.
