Resident Evil 0.
Super Mario Sunshine
ZombiU. I got it on the Wii U launch day and have played it like 3 times.
Stella Glow.
I have it all planned out but it's so slow and the maps sometimes feel copy and pasted.
I'm almost right at the end so it doesn't help at all.
SMT 3 my second run in 5 years
>The Underpass of Ginza
fuck dat shit
every video game my whole life
Story behind the image?
Witcher 3. Not memeing either
Fallout 4. Found a decent alternate start mod now so I might get back into it soon.
Twilight Princess
I know it gets really good after the intro, but every time I tried to do it I just couldnt
you're cute.
Red dead redemption. I just don't see the appeal.
Same for me. I know some people really like good Western stories but I was never a cowboy guy myself and I could only stand so much dirt and brown for so long.
I know you eventually get invested in Marston but I just lost interest like 2 hrs in
Although I actually managed to finish it yesterday;
Alien: Isolation
This game never seemed to fucking end. Every time you think, "Okay that's it, we're done." it pulls out even more shit.
>Blow the Alien out into space?
NOPE LOL THERE'S A WHOLE HIVE
>Blow up the hive.
NOPE LOL THEY'RE ALL ESCAPING
>Destabilise the orbit.
WHY DON'T YOU GO ON THIS POINTLESSLY LONG SPACEWALK THAT TAKES FOREVER
>Escape to the Torrens
PUT ON THIS SPACESU-LOLNO SURPRISE NOW YOU'RE BACK UNDERGROUND AGAIN
I mean what the fuck?
the thing about Alien Isolation is that apparently the license was insanely expensive, so they were trying to get the most they could out of it while they had the chance.
ridley scott charges a lot of fucking money to use the Alien ip
DOOM
I just can't get into it. I've even seen videos of reviews that make it look fun but it's just not what I wanted
i managed to finish it but portal 1 really drags by the final third despite being such a short game
>Sonic Heroes
I already beat the game four fucking times over and now it wants me to collect the seven chaos emeralds to actually finish the game
but to get a chaos emerald you have to play through two stages AND clear the secret stage
so if you fuck up you waste like 20 minutes
fuck that
never finishing it
I try sometimes tho
Beholder and this is the police.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Im more than halfway through and can only play in 10 minute bursts before I have to put the controller down. Maybe its popular to hate these games but I really just cannot find any fun in it's mechanics, it's like it was designed to be tedious and derivative.
All I want to do is finish the story now, but by the time I do I'll have already forgotten all the characters and motivations so I know I won't understand the ending. (and I mean the ending ending, not whatever weird ass alien shit will inevitably happen in the epilogue)
Deus Ex.
>wanna shoot stuff? Sorry, you can't because RPG!
>okay, go stealth instead. Enjoy being slow af
The cat refuses to let go
Yeah but why?
I think the game itself was pretty good.
When I first played it I hung up on the first stealth section and dropped it for months, then went back to it. I then played through and enjoyed the fuck out of it until I got to the part where you re-align the antenna and again dropped it for a few weeks. I went back yesterday and managed to finish it.
It just seemed like it should have wrapped itself up a lot sooner.
Not quite the proper response, but I'm 20 hours in FF 15 and i'm about to shelf it. Every time I play for about an hour I start to want to fall asleep. I do enjoy it at certain points but it's just so uninteresting over all.
Xenoblade Chronicles. I've been stuck at the final boss fight for four years now and don't have the motivation to finish it.
SMT IV. I want to know the story before Apocolypse but I can't stand the constant backtracking, searching for locations, and tedious meaningless encounters every 30 seconds.
Dude just has a really clingy cat. Cat's name is Yamada. Just go through his media posts.
twitter.com
I'd say Spirit Tracks but I finally forced myself to finish it after several years earlier this month.
paper mario ttyd
>got to the ghost party member part
>had to reformat so lost save
>game is so fucking boring it will be the last thing i emulate
I'm so sorry. TTYD is a game that is good exactly once and is fucking awful for replays. Revisiting it only makes ypu realize that every part of the game is "that part".
I couldn't even get past the cave with the little fuzzy guys.
Witcher 3
cute. where do i get one
Bravely Default. The gameplay is alright but the story was so bland that I still havent finished it after 4 years.
...
Nippon
A clingy cat? If you're American go to a Humane Society and hang out with cats, and wait until a clingy one shows up.
You can also try local foster organizations. They will set you up meetings with any cat you're interested in.
...
Oh fuck, this. I think I'm still on like chapter 3 or something. It's aesthetically awesome and the brave/default system is a neat idea for turn-based but I dunno, I just can't bring myself to keep playing it.
Mass Effect
Bravely Default.
>you can arrange dates with a cat
what a world to live in
Witcher 3
Yep. They want to make sure the cat is right for you before you adopt it.
Resonance of Fate. There's literally not a single redeeming feature in this game, but I hope to finish it because I'm like 1/3 through. Tri-Ace is really dead.
Dark souls every time I remember I left it in blighttown.
Playing this right now. About five hours in right after you rescue Fina and go out on the quest for the moonstones. What's so wrong with it?
>he dropped it at blighttown
Oh man, you didn't even get to the part that actually sucks. Have fun with Tomb of the Giants or Lost Izalith.
Wasteland 2
...
Too slow, tedious, simple and boring.
dark souls
>it's like it was designed to be tedious and derivative
It's actually pretty responsive and feels just right, even more-so than 2. Speaking of which, did you play 2? Maybe that would've gotten you more invested in the story and what not.
Bayonetta 2
1 was better
I picked up VC because of Raita.
I actually like it a lot but i can't "get into" the mood of playing it.
It's the same with the Disgaea.
I think it's because they belong to a genre of games i have grown out off.
The whole "base building, making characters interact, setting up a party, making a battle plan and ocasioally grind a lot" type of game that you just need to invest a lot of time into turn me off now a days.
Anybody else feel like this?
A whole bunch lately. I think I'm getting tired gamer syndrome
>Witcher 3
Beat it once, before the DLCs came out. Can't convince myself to play through again to do the DLCs. Shame because I loved it during my first playthrough.
>Fallout 4
I played about 20 or so hours vanillas and got to the Institute. Dropped it. Played another 20 or so hours just dicking around with mods. Will probably never play it again
>Dying Light
Got the grappling hook and immediately dropped it
>System Shock 2
I just can't seem to get into it at all. Maybe I'm graphically spoiled. Shame because I love the setting and concept
>Outlast
Couldn't even make it past the first chase. It was just so predictable.
>Child of Light
I liked the combat, but I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, because it felt like I needed to grind, and I hate grinding in those kinds of games
>Darkest Dungeon
Just can't bring myself to get a team together for Darkest runs. At this point I'm just grinding to get team good enough team members.
Last game I actually finished was DOOM. Fucking loved it. Before that I think it was Alien: Isolation.
Witcher 2
cant stand the combat
Minecraft
>ctrl+f Witcher
>5 results
Glad im not alone
The gameplay is fucking ass
I did, and I can't tell if I liked it better or was just less worn out on the series when I played it. I started at 4, which was probably a mistake since it's hard to go backwards in a series like this because youre too used to later improvements.
You are so right. I played through it multiple times as a kid/teen when it first came out (since I didn't have many games, I just played them to completion multiple times) and now I find no joy in playing most of these games myself because I remember every aspect of the game perfectly. Game grumps playthrough is alright tho. It's an amazing game the first time through though, everything feels fresh and right.
I did just 100% dk64 on the wiiu vc after having my original save file on my cartridge only about halfway through collecting shit. So much fucking collecting Jesus
Are you mentally handicapped? You can finish the whole game in an hour. How goddamn short is your attention span?
Runescape.
Yeah, that game is a real chore to finish completely. I'd just like to have a directors cut version of it that would cut the game into a one story with all the best parts.
Ocarina of Time
pokemon gen 3.
Defense Grid: Awakening.
I don't know why I bought it. I think it was after playing Sanctum.
It took me forever to finish W1 just because of the swamp chapter, god damn that shit dragged on and on. Thankfully it got a lot better after that, even though the combat was an absolute bore all the way to the end.
I made it through Child of Light recently, you don't need to grind, but exploring around helps. For me, Aurora was always underleveled compared to the new characters who joined and I was still fine. I also fed her all the stat upgrade items. Oh and the gnome mage too since he's the best magic damage dealer.
I usually just killed once each enemy I found and ignored them whenever I went back through an area, but I think you could skip more and still be fine.
Just use the correct types of attacks (magic or physical) against the enemies, manage well your gems, and use those stat+ items. Whenever I got shit on by a boss, it was because I was making stupid decisions.
ff3
EYE
I love setting and I like source based games but I can't go with eye.
This.
Game is fucking stupid boring.
Good graphics and story but almost everything else is either boring as fuck or frustrating as fuck.
Divinity original sin.
I can't play it from start to finish, I keep doing 5-15 hour stints, great game, good combat and the craziest inventory management in a game I've seen so far, but I just loose interest and need to go back to at at a different time.
this was me forever, but I did it as my first game this year. was pretty fun all-in-all.
Pillars of Eternity is mine. that game is B O R I N G
Last stretch of Environmental Station Alpha
I love Alien, I love all the craftsmenship and attention to detail in Isolation but I can barely get 4 hours into it knowing that there are like 20 more hours of crouching by half-walls and hiding in lockers. So boring!!
>Assassin's Creed 3
Never before has a game killed my interest in a series so throughly. Not that older ones were that monumental either, but at least Ezio was a bro and the games provided me with historical scenery porn.
But 3? Characters are shit (well, Haytham was fine but sidelined so quickly), the world consist of generic wooden settlements and forest and the gameplay feels even more linear, slow and empty. There's just nothing to like.
It's not that bad
Pokemon Sun
Fuck these Cut Scenes
Because VC has the issue where its not "deep" enough.
You figure out "The strats", and end up streamrolling the game repeating them for like..... rest of the game.
Also there is a lot of terrible decisions, so you can't vary the strats a lot either.
Fire Emblem & Dawn of War at the least has unit changes.
Because W1 has the issue where it sucks balls until you get some levels, and reach Lady of the Lake.
And thats far into the game.
After that, its a amazing 10/10 game.
KH1 isn't so bad, RE:COM on the other hand has you essentially playing KH1 again along with the shit going on in Castle Oblivion along with Riku's story along with an insanely inferior combat system.
Holy shit, this
The only way I was able to slog through this PoS was by counting the amount of missions I had left on the DNA menu, so at least I could reach the ending.
A shitty one, just to add more salt to the wound
