>Made by WB Montreal (Arkham Origins)
>Imagine Batman Beyond but with Damian Wayne. That's what this is. Terry McGinnis was originally considered but they figured it'd be easier to sell Batman's son instead of a new character to games.
>If you are looking for the first Batman game without The Joker... you will have to wait a bit longer. The Joker is in the game, but not in the way that you think. It's a sequel to the most recent title "Arkham Knight", so The Joker is definitely dead. If you have ever seen the film "Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker", you may have an idea of where they are going with this.
>The Batbike is the new Batmobile in this game. There is actually a power-wench on it like in "Arkham Knight" to do puzzles! I can already hear some fans moaning in agony, but fear not: the Batbike is mainly used to get places quickly as the map is HUGE.
>The rogue list is massive, and really reaches into characters that we haven't seen before like White Rabbit and "Kite Man"...whoever that is.
>The City is in ruin, and competing powers like GothCorp (Mister Freeze) have seized control of Gotham financially. Therein, Wayne Enterprises has somewhat ceased in influence.
>Bruce Wayne is quite old, but not exceedingly old like you may think. In fact, only a few years before the events of the game did Bruce Wayne give up the mantle of the Bat-thing we saw at the end of Arkham Knight. This is not a straight up "Batman Beyond" game.
>Bruce lives in the Batcave full-time. Damian tracked him down and is new to the Batsuit. Alfred has passed away. Bruce serves in that mentor role. Bruce also has a harness on his leg and uses a walking stick.
>Characters like Oracle and Nightwing return. Nightwing plays a big role in this one, but he's aged since Knight quite a bit.
>There is no "main" villain to this game. It takes place over many days and nights, but only one mission (that I know of) takes place during the day. The Penguin and Mister Freeze have major political pull.
New Batman: Arkham game starring Damian Wayne as the Bat (2017)
>Other villains: The Judge (Harvey Dent), Black Mask (blonde woman), Poison Ivy (new body), The Riddler, Azrael, Flamingo, Harley Quinn
>Most think Bruce Wayne is still Batman. Some of the villains even say things like "Hello Brucie" and "Mr. Wayne, come to die." Of course, it's not Bruce.
>Jason Todd is in the game. He feels bad over the events of Arkham Knight but still goes around killing criminals.
>Gameplay has substantial revisions in this one. The gameplay mechanics are rehashed to fit around Damian's strengths, which are generally more agile and equipment-based than that of Bruce Wayne. It doesn't seem you quite hit as hard, but you move faster and are more agile than in the other titles. Still, it will feel largely like playing as Batman from what I've been told.
>Damian Wayne is not really recognizable to how he is as a kid. He's not particularly bratty or anything, and in many ways acts more like his dad than anything else.
>The game spends a lot of time in Wayne Manor, the Batcave, etc. Cutscenes flash back to Damian's time with Ra's Al Ghul and Talia, the story is truly a personal one. The way the narrative is told resembles "Grand Theft Auto", much more so than the previous Batman titles.
>On the contrary to what other sources have been claiming, this title has a targeted October 2017 release date. It is in the vein of what Warner Brothers Games has always aimed to do with having a Batman game every other year. Arkham Knight was a different beast in it of itself, but Asylum was in '09, City '11, and now this game will come 2 years after Arkham Knight. That's what WB wants to do for the future as well probably.
>This game features guest heroes from other corners of the DC Universe! I know this as an absolute fact - Green Arrow is in the game. His cameo is brief, but other side missions featuring non-Batman heroes and villains appear with frequency.
>The location is Gotham City. It's not abandoned or evacuated (well, some areas are...where the villains reside mostly). There are plenty of civilians in Gotham, as well as a crime system in which Damian is alerted of nearby crimes in progress, like muggings, car-jackings, robberies, murders, serial killers, thieves, etc.
>You can't go on most roads, as cars will hit you.
>The city has different regions, and actually has rural/suburban outskirts that Batman can travel to on the bike. As I said, in more ways than a few - this game's ambition reflects that of a Grant Theft Auto title than an "Arkham" one.
>Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system is in this game and it's great! It ties into these crimes. If the criminals get away or kill you, they continue to commit crimes and become noticed by the various gangs and villains. They receive equipment from them and can even be recruited by them. They commit bigger and bigger crimes and will start to lead squads of bad guys if Batman keeps failing. Eventually, they can adopt a criminal persona (we have a ton of them and which one they adopt depends on which villains support them). Even if Batman stops them, villains can break them out if they were a "high-level" criminal. You have to keep sending them back to jail and thwarting their plans to stop them for good. It's pretty awesome.
>The Batmobile isn't in the game except for one of the final missions
At some point, I am told Damian Wayne needs to be rescued. The exact circumstances of this scene I am unsure. Nonetheless, BRUCE WAYNE once again re-embodies the mantle of Batman, and rescues his only son. This is a major scene that takes place towards the end of the game, and the player is actually controlling Bruce Wayne as Batman.
These rumors were gathered from various websites so take everything with a grain of salt and bottle of cum.
Yeah because we definitely needed 8 fucking batman games in a row
>Terry McGinnis was originally considered but they figured it'd be easier to sell Batman's son instead of a new character to games.
It's shit.
Spider-Man 2099 game when? No Edge of Time or Shattered Dimensions.
What else is there? Nobody cares about superhero games apart from Batman games - and Batman isn't even a "real" superhero.
Rocksteady (Arkham Asylum/City/Knight) is now making a Superman game and I guarantee it will suck, get lukewarm reviews at best and it will flop like my dick after I saw my mom and dad banging when I was a kid.
Nobody cares about Terry. Even the show was cancelled after 2 seasons and that was in the fucking 90s.
>No McGinnis
>we're going to get the bat Anti-Christ instead
One job
fuck shitty guy
give me Jason.
Terry might have be alright but considering the ugly unreal engine style they use they couldn't do a proper Beyond game
someday maybe
>implying Terry would work in Arkhamverse
>implying Terry would work in a game that's not set in a futuristic world
>implying anyone under 35 knows who Terry is
>implying anyone not in US or Canada knows who Terry is
>implying they will make Damian a whiny teenager and/or 666 Batman instead of making their own version of him, for example a blend of Bruce/Terry/young Damian
>Imagine Batman Beyond but with Damian Wayne. That's what this is.
Just fucking kill me.
FUCKING KILL ME.
That brat is ruining comics. He is ruining direct to DVD movies. AND NOW HE GOT HIS HANDS ON VIDEO GAMES
This is why Grant Morrison shouldn't get his works adapted.
I would rather get a Batfamily game, in all honesty.
I need to be able to play as not only everyone they already made playable, but also Cassandra Cain, Kate Kane, the Question, etc.
Also, they could expand each playable character and differentiate them from one another even more to make them distinct, giving them more unique mechanics.
>Imagine Batman Beyond but with Damian Wayne.
Dropped
>Damian
HAHAHAHA. That fuckin brat need to get punched but all Bats rogue gallery for being a shithead
>all these niggers hating on Damian
Toppleb
>That brat is ruining comics
Yeah, I hate him in the animated films, too. But he's not going to be that arrogant brat in the game. They are probably only using his backstory (Bruce and Talia fugged in Metropolis) and name, that's it.
Batman 666 would be pretty fucking insane as a video game, too bad it won't be that.
I can think of so many other superheroes that deserve a video game before fucking Batman gets another one.
Then you're a contrarian
Will it be the same Azarel and Harely Quinn?
Also since AK ended with Bruce exposed as Batman then faking his death it changes a fair few things. I'm guessing Bruce trained Damien in solitude for a while, Dick confronted Azbats rather than Bruce and took the cowl, and Damien became Dick's Robin for a while.
They already said they're doing a RotJ type thing but I wouldn't be surprised if they combined that with Oberon Sexton in some way
Such as?
Probably the same Azrael even though there was a hidden Jean-Paul Valley display case in the Arkham Knight files. Same for Harley.
So where did Damian come from? Ra's Al Ghul was half-dead in Arkham Knight, with the majority of his League of Assassins siding with Nyssa. His mother's dead, Deathstroke was apprehended, Shiva defected and Kirigi isn't even a part of the League.
There's literally no where in that gap where Damian could have hid or trained.
>All the best Batman girls will be too old now
Should of just Rebooted the series or give us Origins 2.
>SoM nemesis system
Literally too good to be true
>ruining comics
Super Sons is one of the best comics DC is putting out right now
Insomniac Spiderman will be better tho...
>So many heroes deserve a video game more than one if not the most popular Hero and money maker currently in comics.
That's not how it works, dummy.
Aw but I wanted to play as kid Damian...
Talia's body wasn't in the morgue in AK so she's probably still alive and according to the list on the morgue wall, Talia and Ra's were accompanied by a third corpse - "John Doe". Bruce and Talia fucked way before AC so she could have given birth way before AK. But I guess we find out in the game.
Reboot would be better than Origins 2 because we already know how it all ends.
Yeah, but Bruce came back as Batman using fear toxin. Then he probably stayed as that Nightmare Bat for a few years until he got too old and that's when Damian tracked him down.
>Terry McGinnis was originally considered but they figured it'd be easier to sell Batman's son
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
lower your age cutoff to 25, there are definitely 26+ year olds who know who terry is. Shit, I know who he is and I didn't even watch Batman Beyond.
>he isn't reading the current Batman Beyond run
Pathetic desu
Didnt Bruce Wayne kill himself or pretended to?
>Damian Wayne
Until people stop buying them they will keep making them.
Pretend.
>caring about AAA games
LMAO
Did you watch or read The dark knight returns? it was kinda like that, but mixed with the arkham universe stuff
>implying anyone under 35 knows who Terry is
Nigga I'm 25 and watched Batman Beyond when I was younger on Kids WB!
Talia couldn't have been revived in AK, there was no Lazarus Pits. You spend all the time in Shadow War hunting a small amount of Lazarus only for Ra's who's holding on via life support.
Even still, the point I was trying to make is that no one in the League could have protected Damian, because the League was fractured.
No one else would take him either because there's no obligation. It just doesn't fit into the timeline.
>The Joker is in the game
Honestly I don't know how to feel about this.
For one: I really don't think that the Joker needs to be the villain in every single fucking Batman game, but on the other hand Mark Hamill consistently gives the best performance in any of these games and is so much fun to listen to.
If they're gonna have Troy Baker do an awful impression again than please for the love of god don't bother.
Plot twist: Catwoman found and raised Damian. He makes bad cat puns when stressed.
>they figured it'd be easier to sell Batman's son instead of a new character to games
>Terry
>New character
>Batman Beyond
>New character to the games
>New character to Batman at all
I'm 20, watching BB and the Batman/Superman animated shows are some of the earliest memories I have
I really should reread Batman 666
>there was no Lazarus Pits
There was. The sample Batman took for Ra's was from another Lazarus pit.
>no one in the League could have protected Damian
And that's why he ended up dead in the morgue of Elliot Memorial Hospital.
He killed the public 70s Hugh Hefner AKA Bruce Wayne persona. He and Alfred are still alive after the Knightfall Protocol and he's still running around as Batman.
>implying anyone not in US or Canada knows who Terry is
AMERICAN EDUCATION.
you deserve to be fucked by Trump and Russians.
I just want them to fucking announce it already. What, is every company waiting for E3 now? Everyone just seems so silent.
I've come to this realisation a while back
I thought Arkham Knight would be the only AAA game I'd have fun with until MGSV
I was wrong about both games being good
MGSV had its reasons for turning out bad
Arkham Knight was just riddled with flaws to do with the Batmobile, the boring as hell military enemies instead of campy gang affiliated enemies
I've had more fun with the smaller projects from big companies in 2016 like Dragon Quest Builders than I would have had with Final Fantasy XV or any other disappointing AAA game that came out last year
if OP isn't lying though, the game sounds fun, if Damian isn't terrible and it leads to Terry in the future games
huh? but Batman "died" too. There was this feartoxin using "Batman" but we know from the dlc that the ghost didnt confront any of the leaders or contacted the batfamily
And who would've gotten the Lazarus treatment for Talia? Nyssa's against the Lazarus Pits and Ra's couldn't even get a drop for himself.
As for Damian, it still doesn't make sense. Means he must have been murdered at like 7-10 years old.
Arkham series combined with Assassons Creed completely ruined AAA games, on top of being about a baby's character.
So how did they make the combat even more repetitive this time around?
I'd be fine with Joker if they stopped lying about him being in the game.
>"Yeah, Joker is just a side character in Origins. Black Mask is the main villain, isn't that cool?"
Joker was Black Mask all along LMAO
>"Joker is definitely 100% dead and not a big part of Arkham Knight at all"
>"Cool, so maybe a brief hallucination at some point in the game, nice"
Appears during the first hour, tags along for +75% of the game, is on screen more than in either Asylum or City
I'm not American.
They are waiting for E3 because they want to release the game soon after the announcement.
Sefton Hill confirmed in his AMA that it was Bruce under the cowl using fear toxin. Just like he said to Catwoman - Batman needed to become a new myth, something worse etc.
I'm not one of the developers so I don't know. All I know is that there is an empty refrigerator in the morgue of Elliot Memorial that has the name "Talia al Ghul" on the door.
In terms of the DC characters that could easily translate to a good game: Green Arrow/Black Canary, Flash, Wonder Woman, Static Shock, Hawkman, and more. Any of these characters have much more potential for a fun, engaging game than another fucking Batman title, especially another Arkham game.
You're right, and I wish you weren't. But Batman will always be the normie choice.
No Terry no buy. Fuck Damian.
>Nobody cares about Terry
thats why they brought back Batman beyond as a comic book, right? That's why they kept the same artstyle and rogue gallery, right?
Son it didnt come out in 1985
It's Damian, user.
You just hold the stick in the thug's direction and his SUPERIOR OMEGA ULTRA ASSASSIN SKILLS AND BATMAN'S TRAINING take them out with no buttons involved, also parries automatically.
Ask the developers what? There's nothing but rumours, then the same rumours OP is trying to push.
How does it feel knowing that Damian will forever be best Robin?
The comic is pretty good too
That's not Tim.
>implying Terry wouldn't work in Arkhamverse
that black bitch from the government cloned Bruce because she thought he actually died. I'm willing to take a halfassed excuse like that if it means we get Terry.
>Tim
>belonging anywhere but the bottom of the barrel
Tim is a garbage character.
>that black bitch from the government
Taquisha?
>Ask the developers what?
What did you mean by this?
Ok, you get Terry. Voiced by Troy Baker
The turboslut that throatfucked Lex Luthor in that one movie.
You know, the bitch tentacle raped in the Suicide Squad movie.
The thickest whore of the DC multiverse.
Nice try, Damien.
Tim as Robin means we get based Dick as Nightwing without Damien shitting things up.
That would be funny
I can't ask you, because you're not a developer and I can't ask a developer, because it's rumoured nonsense.
Not even Bruce gives a shit about Tim.
Dick, Jason, and Damien all fill their specific niches.
Tim is just generic as fuck.
Rumored nonsense confirmed by Kotaku.
>Learn about Path of Exile going releasing on consoles today
>now this
I'm with half of my feets off on the abyss, a little blow of the wind and I'll have no reason to even look back at video games anymore.
DAMIENFAG LEAVE
...
Oh, Bon'Quisha.
I'm 21
I'm from hueland
I know who Terry is
I watched the return of the Joker
The next arkham game would work perfectly on a futuristic setting because dear god from origins forward the series has been a trainwreck and it could use a new direction
They have used the exact same personalities from the comics on the game, there's no reason to think they won't do the same with the whiny cunt Damian
I normally accept people's different opinions but yours is one of the first that I see which are actually and factually wrong.
I'll only buy it if superior pairing is in the game
Damian's appeal as a character is that he's a little piece of shit that is slowly learning how to be a good person. What the fuck is Tim's appeal, outside of "he's Robin"
>could have had shway as fuck Terry
>instead get obnoxious brat Damian
Who the fuck even likes Damian?
Probably. They always have tho shoe-horn Harley into fucking everything now. In fact not having her was one of the bet things Telltale Batman did.
He's fucking Stephanie Brown so we can live through him
>Damian's appeal
He doesn't *have* appeal as a character.
Literally nobody likes him.
Damian's great. He's a little cunt that gets BTFO enough times that his cuntiness makes him endearing. Especially when paired with Dickbats.
Considering his popularity in relation to the previous Robin, I'd say that's straight up false. Kid can carry his own solo series, and actually has some interesting character development and conflicts. When paired with Dick as Batman, they become this awesome reversal of the normal Batman/Robin dynamic. Or, look at his dynamic with Superman's son Jon. It's fucking fantastic.
Hambeasts liked him because he's a shota
but they prefer Dick to him anyway though
what movie is this? looks kino.
Batman vs Robin
This is such a shitty idea that I believe it.
I'll take whatever they make as long as they get rid of the pig disgusting art direction. Everything looks putrid and reeks of UE3, not to mention the disgusting human models.
This is perfection. Just copy it as much as you can.
>Tim Drake is literally batman with noe of the hang ups
>literally jut wants to be a god like enius detective and do what is right that is it
>gets outshined by littel killer bat
Fuck I hope Nightwing and Redhood put Damian ins his place at least once.
Why do they keep avoiding a Batman Beyond: Arkham Planet game?
>tim is literally batman with none of the hangups
Which is why he's a shitty fucking character. And he only got worse as time went on.
They have switched to Unreal 4. Not sure if it's a huge improvement but anyway.
Tim is a fucking beta. Should have died painfully during Arkham Knight.
>Damien
>Endearing
>Fantasic
Fuck off, DC.
>WB Montreal
I actually really liked Origins. From what little I remember the combat was slightly harder and there were some humanoid bosses instead of gimmicks.
Nemesis system makes me cum buckets if properly made in a good game. I think it's the future in some way with baddies made more tangible, more interesting, self preserving instead of being a gameplay aspect of the game.
Your time is over and no one cares about your opinions on comics anymore
Fuck off, Barbara. Nobody likes you as Batgirl. Get crippled again.
>Nobody likes you as Batgirl
