Why is Nintendo trying to sell this cheap looking Mad Catz tier controller for $70 when the Xbox One and PS4 controllers are better quality, sell for $40+, and both have more features?
Pro Controller
Other urls found in this thread:
Looks nice to hold. Hopefully someone can hack it into working with a PC (the Wii U Pro Controller was a bit of a squib on that front since the only driver I saw forced it to only be XInput).
how do you know what the quality of the controller is just by looking?
It takes expensive technology to keep all those ice cubes inside without messing up the circuitry, you know.
What for? Xbone Controller is a thing you know? It is cheaper while being better.
...
>better
>hard to get to connect to computer and be recgnized by games
I have an easier time getting my GameCube controller to work with my PC games
what the actual fuck are you even talking about? how is it hard to connect a usb cable?
You can tell by the lines. The same damn construction materials as other controllers. There are only so many damned consumer plastics.
Button quality and durability, different story.
Looks like crap regardless.
>sell for $40
MSRP is $59.99, $10 less than the Switch controller.
It has that ice cube shit in it and the NFC reader so that's probably what they're using to justify the extra $10.
You need a bulky adapter or a cable if you want to use an XB1 controller.
That's a hideous controller.
>You can tell by the lines. The same damn construction materials as other controllers. There are only so many damned consumer plastics.
what the fuck are you talking about
>Xbox One and PS4 controllers have more features
Nobody cares about a shitty share button and touch pad. XB1 just has a start and select button renamed.
A controller is a controller. Stop acting like any are worth more than $20, because none of them are.
It also has a battery that lasts longer than an average wank.
>MSRP is $59.99, $10 less than the Switch controller.
who cares about msrp? key word, manufacturers SUGGSTED price. major companies like amazon sell them for $45 and thats what counts and thats what nintendo is competing against
>It has that ice cube shit in it and the NFC reader so that's probably what they're using to justify the extra $10.
you mean the amiibo reader to use proprietary nintendo dlc toys with? thats hardly a feature. ice cube tech, we shall wait and see if its even significant compared to xbox's newer rumble tech.
Wew , because 1$ USB cables are hard to use
Is this wireless only?
People who have held the thing have reported it feels pretty good in your hands. if you want a controller without all the extra shit inside the get the Hori version of it.
So wait a couple months and the same will happen with Switch accessories, they'll go down in price. Not an apt comparison, can't use MSRP for a brand-new item but comapre it to third-party reseller prices for years-old products.
>Not an apt comparison, can't use MSRP for a brand-new item but comapre it to third-party reseller prices for years-old products
um, this is what consumers are going to have to choose between. not your fantasy scenario that might exist the year after.
>Multiple sources say it's the best controller to hold currently
>has built in Nfc reader
>better than 6 axis tilt controls
>better motion controls
I got to try it out and it feels great, a little heavier than I expected but great, too bad no one does analog triggers anymore or this would be hands down the best controller currently made
That said it costs too much
>"sources"
>amiibo reader
>motion controls that ds4 also had
is that supposed to be persuasive?
Need help? Okay.
You can tell IF IT'S ERGONOMIC AND COMFORTABLE BY THE OUTLINE OF IT.
>other controllers
You know Nintendo is only going to use past plastic that they or some other company have used before.
>Waggle and Amiibo are supposed to impress me
At that price the switches and sticks better be top notch.
/thread
It has next gen rumble, improved accelerometer and gyroscope and 40 hours of battery instead of a fucking flashlight, so it's the superior pad.
>Multiple sources say
mind posting a few?
anybody else preorder it?
Is that transparent plastic?
too bad the ps4 and xbox one controllers are both $60+ and have less tech in them
That d pad looks pretty cheap, though. I'll wait for a chance to try one before buying one.
>next gen rumble
>too bad the ps4 and xbox one controllers are both $60+
?
Are you legit mentally impaired?
>Accelerometer, gyroscopes
You mean gimmick things no one wanted or fucking asked for that are driving up the price? yeah real nice.
?
WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THE FUCKING D-PAD
they're selling out in Japan
Yamada Denki stopped taking preorders and Yodobashi is running low
>price is 59.99
>it's discounted
Thanks for proving the point.
Hey, did you know you can buy a used Pro Controller for cheaper, too? Guess it's not actually 70.
both wired and wireless adapter are plug and play
you'd think it wouldn't be that important then you see a 360 controller
Everybody who wants to buy that pad, you retard. It's the reason why it's wired.
That doesn't tell me anything about the quality of the thing.
>$60+
keep backpedaling
ps4 has been out for ages you fucking stupid sonyggers
will it have HD rumble?
no, i don't like being scammed
You're right... 59.99 doesn't have tax...
It's tax free....
>MUH GIMMICKS
You're a fucking retard. Gyro controls are the best shit ever for console shooters. End yourself right the fuck now.
>MSRP is $59.99
it's literally always discounted
It'll be 60 plus tip at any store. Lots of people who aren't socially autistic retarded Sup Forumsirgins go to actual stores to purchase objects instead of sitting in their chair waiting for the item to arrive a few days later.
I just wish they offered a cheaper alternative. At least there's the hori pad
Literally always, huh
>$40
I want this meme to die. They both go for $60 at retail.
Splatoon's motion controls are god tier. It's not waggling you shitlord.
but it's not 59.99
it's 47.99
new, not used
sold by amazon
HEY GUESS WHAT
THE ALTERNATIVE IS THE FUCKING JOYCONS AND THE JOYCON GRIP
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE USED IT REPORT IT'S A STANDARD CONTROLLER
>MUH D-PAD!!!
uuuh what? yeah it's still $60 when not discounted, idk if "thank for proving the point" is legit or just trolling, but they're $60. The End. If you fuckboys cant spend $10 more a Switch controller then i feel real fuckin bad for you.
> wipes ass with $10
>and have less tech in them
Explain. Oh wait are you going to try and claim that "HD rumble" is somehow revolutionizing? Just like the Xbone's "Impulse Triggers" and the PS4's touchpad & lightbar?
>better quality
youtube.com
I can find one for 30 on Ebay that's used.
So it sells for 30, right?
>get btfo
>go "REEEEEEE" instead of admitting your mistake
every time
That's the Amazon prime price, you imbecile. The actual price goes from 60 to fucking 65 bucks. 65 bucks for a controller with a fucking flashlight you can't turn off and a completely pointless touchpad.
>Amazon is killing brick and mortar stores
>lol only socially autistic retarded Sup Forumsirgins use Amazon
it's 47.99 new
pro controllers will be sold out day 1 and scalped on ebay for $150
thus the pro controller costs $150
>Amazon is killing brick and mortar stores
No, it isn't.
You can also just steal them, so they're essentially free. What was Nintendo even thinking not making their controller free like everyone else?
it's true that the joycon grip is included, but still some people prefer a regular controller shape for ergonomics. Like I said, it's nice that the hori pad also exists as a cheap alternative, I just wish it was at least advertised so retards wouldn't make threads like this
HD rumble
yeah, that's why Borders is still around
Wow, so you're saying, hold up... You're saying a 4 year old controller is 47.99 new when it used to be 59.99 MSRP?
Holy shit... I wonder what 50 year old controllers will cost? Maybe 1 dollar?
It has a regular controller shape, numb nuts.
yes
amazon japan is a switch retailer
and they're only like 65 bucks with 2-day shipping
Because their insect like fanbase will buy it. I hope they go full throttle on the consumer still rape train with the switch. Charge $15 a month for online, charge for OS updates like apple does, never drop the price of their games or hardware, have terrible sales, Fire Emblem style microtransations in everything, more amiiboos, limit their online app to iOS only, introduce stupidly expensive novelty accessories like gamecube joy-cons for $150+ then make them mandatory for the inevitable full $60 priced gamecube "remasters". Their idiot fans deserve to have every single cent sucked out of them.
you're the one who said they were $60+
i only proved you wrong
Amazon bought Borders, you stupid fucking moron.
Barnes and Noble is still going strong.
Try again, little kid.
well there ya go, that's why it's so expensive
nintendo are fucktarded sometimes
>You can tell IF IT'S ERGONOMIC AND COMFORTABLE BY THE OUTLINE OF IT.
no you can't, the wii u gamepad was comfortable and that looked like shit
Jesus christ your autism levels are through the roof you damage controlling casual apologist. Sorry you fuckin crybaby, gimmicks are dead. Getting butt deranged at me wont fix it.
>Half priced books
>Barnes and Noble
>Books a million
>literally 1,000 book stores still poppin
A-AMAZON!! I-I-IT'S KILLING THEM, HELP!
except it doesn't
new xbone controllers are bluetooth
...
what a bitter prune you are
>Bitching about things you literally never used and everyone who did disagrees with you.
The Switch discussions on Sup Forums.
retard bebe cant sync a controller. nintoddlers are always saying something stupid as fuck.
gaycube controller is shit
it's just a flaseflagging shitposting vedditor.
expect a huge push of this as launch approaches
Played Breath of the Wild using this controller at the Nintendo Switch UK Premire, and it felt nice. Buttons and dpad worked well, triggers and bumpers were fine, analog sticks worked well and my only complaint is the plus and minus buttons being a tad bit small. Other than that, it's A ok.
>but still some people prefer a regular controller shape for ergonomics
But you hold it just like a regular controller, it's just got a larger than usual face, like the GC Wavebird.
Borders went bankrupt and was bought by Barnes and Noble
So you're just gonna throw in the people that like playing Smash/Kart with friends in with the NintendoLife retards, huh?
I played MK8DX on it the other day, it controlled beautifully. HD rumble was great too. Get raped OP.
The Hori one apparently has a swappable dpad is why it looks weird.
>Why is Nintendo trying to sell this cheap looking Mad Catz tier controller
You fucking wish, Nitendrone!
This looks like a $3 M@d Kids chink-chong bootleg than anything.
Except it does.
The square shape is the front, the back has totally ergonomic handholds that adhere to your finger shape and sit comfortable in your hand.
bluetooth you idiot bebe. plus, usb cables dont cost shit.
what are drones going to make up next?
