I just stopped playing Androids: Isolation. IGN was generous with their score. 4/10 is more appropriate. A horror game shouldn't bore the player. And it did. The people that designed the Alien should be given a medal. The people that ruined the game can be shot. I looked up average playtimes of Alien Isolation and its around 15-20 hours. I feel like I had three brief encounters in my eight hours with the game

Funny thing is, that the alien can actually show up before the first scripted encounter. I too felt like it seemed to take forever until it showed up but apparently I was just too good at being sneaky up until then.
I enjoyed the game, but it was definitely too long.
