All I know is that I spent about 3 hours on it during the free weekend (when the master server wasn't constantly dying) and I was incredibly bored of it. The shooting is alright, but that's basically all there is to the game. The environments look good, but they're just basic window dressing for the cover based shooting.
If you like it, then continue to enjoy it, but I couldn't even stand to play beyond 3 hours before I felt like playing something else.

I didn't enjoy games for months and I think it's due me being too influenced by Sup Forums shitposters to hate everything popular, I'm tempted to try Fallout 4 and the new Tomb Raider, going to wait till I can get them for under 20 bucks, try to get out of your comfort zone and play games you would never touch

you're playing the new version of the division, it has gone through quite a few overhauls. i think one of the worst things i ran into while playing the game was that you had to be a certain level to buy from certain sellers or to be able to fight in certain dark zone areas but by the time you got to that level the equipment you already had was already better than what you could buy/pick up making the whole thing worthless.

The reason why most people said it was trash was the end game. It's an MMO with nothing going for it at max level, and it was in a much worse state at launch to boot.
