The stratums is the hardest part of the game. If you can get past Minotaur with ease, then you won't have problem with the game.

In that case I very much recommend Apocalypse.

If you get Walter for minotaur fight (it's RNG which companion you get) then reset. Minotaur is strong against all his attacks which in turn makes him completely wreck you when Walter empowers him.

Stop leveling STR. It's a useless stat. Go World of DEX for phys build. Also pick magic or phys. Dedicate fully to one. Buffs are important so always have some be they on you or your demons

Luck just affects crit chance, so you're way better off focusing on Ma for raw damage and Ag for dodging hits which will eat up enemy press turns.

Not really a recap, but it has a log of all the characters and what they've done in 4.

That's subjective. Combat's improved due to the improvements on smirk, but everything else is either the same as 4 or worse. Sidequests for example are much worse, there's also less content in Apocalypse compared to 4.

You can do multiple sidequests at once which is much better though I did kinda prefer going to different associations for different quests. Also affinities helped the issue of every fusion demon being a carbon copy to improve your whisper skills

The amount of backtracking and location searching I had to do made me quit around the time I had to make the decision to return the world to nothingness. I just couldn't take it anymore, that shit is so tedious not to mention the constant stream of meaningless encounters.

Don't read anything. The game has some twists that are better if you know little about the series.

To be fair, you still can fuse demons as whisper fodder in Apocalypse. The fusion affinities only really effect your end game demons.
