Games that you want to like, but make it hard

I have a lot of fun with this game, but it's grind becomes absurd after you hit a certain point, it makes it hard for me to keep playing it.

Devs take way too long to fix problems that should have been OBVIOUS to anyone who plays it.

you don't have to grind to beat it
the grind is only in making cool looking armor, which there is lots of

I like it. It's a meta, less-pretentious Bloodborne.

Eh, for a free to play title I didn't take much issue with the wonky gameplay, It just gets ridiculously difficult to progress after a while because the cost to get a dead fighter becomes so ludicrous that you spend more time grinding to get your fighters back then you do playing the game.

use mushrooms dummny

I do, but when a boss can one shot me through a revive shroom while I'm trying to use a mushroom, I get fucked.

what floor have you made it to? the game is inherently balanced around the use of mushrooms. and plenty of mushrooms literally trivialize every aspect of the game

The 33rd? I'm at the section where you have to make it past the 2 bosses to get to the 35th for the final tier of fighters, I got to that snake bitch for the first time and had 2 time lord shrooms and like 6 of the invincibility shrooms, I used one, got her to half, got knocked into a corner, ran around and dodged for a minute, went for another shroom when I thought I had an opening, and got 2 shot stunned locked and killed through a revive shroom, and then I spent I don't even wanna know how fucked up long getting the 170k the game wanted me to get to recover my fighter. I'd make a new fighter to just go beat down the other, but then you lose all their shit, and I'm 2 floors away from the final fighter tier, it's frustrating as fuck.

Don't bullshit me. You have to grind for level 3 and 4 weapons

You have to run around enough for RNG to give you the weapons and THEN you have to grind for them.

not if you stack invis mushrooms and cheap your way to victory

Then you just have to grind for the invisible mushrooms.

ah, yeah U-10 can be a pain. best bet for her is using the cloaking shrooms so she won't even make any attacks, and always bring sting shrooms from scorpions.

also there's this much easier path you can take to unlock 5* fighters without fighting Coen on certain days, though you do have to beat U-10 still. next cycle that his this path will be on Thursday

the only item i upgraded from start to finish was a Red Hot Iron. other than that i beat the game with hobo gear and shit from expeditions. and THE POWER OF MUSHROOMS

Oh that's actually really bad ass, I was sweating having to get through Coen after her, and all I want is the next fighter tier so I can actually start investing in some fighters finally without it feeling like a waste, thanks for the info user. I'll bring some transparungus next time I run her.

next cycle this path will be available is on Thursday*

no problem. the path looks long, but most of the escalators are right near each other and there are only 2 floors where you'll actually even see enemies. also for Transparungus make sure to send out expeditions every hour too. helps a lot, though they are still rare

I have been doing 24 hour expeditions, but I figure for the trans shrooms I should be sending them to 11-20 yeah?

expedition time doesn't really scale well. sending them out hourly is objectively more returns, unless you're done playing for the day then might as well do 6 hours or something. and yeah 11-20, might be placebo but i seem to have more success sending them to 16-20 floors. also if you didn't know, Lucky Stars bring back a lot more from expeditions on average. though being so close to 5* i'd say hold off on making more fighters until then

Yeah I'm itching for a good lucky star for the KC bonus and stuff but yeah, investing in fighters feels pointless until the next tier, I never really paid attention but I always assumed that longer expeditions yielded more money, and I like keep a stockpile of KC caches in my inbox for when shit hits the fan and I need quick money, but if the hourly yields basically the same then yeah I may as well start doing that

raids are also a good kc source, especially if you want to submit to the California menace. and also on that same day as the Coen skip there is also a floor that is available for golden snail farming. F13 Okusa, you can go there yourself and get 3 snails per trip, or send expeditions to people there. a good round of expeditions can bring back 6+, they sell for 7392kc or give about 4,500 exp for eating them

Holy fuck nuggets, I never knew anything about that.

yeah. lots of people complain about the game, which is understandable since not everyone wants to take the time to learn the game, or they run into bugs which there certainly are plenty of. but it really does give you plenty of options with which to make it a whole lot easier. once all the bugs are ironed out and more content comes i think the game can be truly pretty great, it just feels damn good to play, which i'd say is kinda unheard of from Suda/Grasshopper
