>infinite health potions >you literally never take damage >you have to at least put it on hard mode for some sort of challenge >you quick travel back to town as many times as you like >you can identify items on the go as many times as you like
why is this game such SHIT torchlight 2 has more depth and difficulty put into than this garbage what went wrong?
>quality of life improvements are bad how is infinite tp and id worse than carrying tomes? i hate the d3 as well but those are some good changes

I never even got close to dying until Torment III.
The game is a joke.

You don't have problems with potions in even midgame D2. I mean shit, as soon as you find a cube you're set. >running out of portal or identification scrolls in D2 >EVER LMAO@URLife tbhfam.
What's it like being so incompetent at your own hobby? Must suck. Video games don't seem like they're for you.

Christopher Bennett
I thought you were talking about path of exile
Jack Morales
>infinite health potions >you quick travel back to town as many times as you like >you can identify items on the go as many times as you like And the issue is? Once you get from early game you will ALWAYS carry stack(s) of potion/identification scrolls/tp scrolls, whatever game that may be: GD. Torchlight, PoE or D2. Infinite potions weren't even in the vanilla D3, but it wasn't an issue there either because everyone were stacked.

>complaining about not having to stock up on scrolls They added absolutely nothing to the game. After the first five minutes of the game they won't be a financial burden of any type. It's not like you have to choose whether or not buy scrolls, you're going to do it every single time. Having to buy them one at a time is dull tedium and nothing else.

>>mobs have 16000000000% more hp than Torment 1 >>but only do 100% from Torment 1 But thats false
i hate how in diablo 2 its such a pain in the ass to find the next dungeons. in 1 its always in the same place and they are all connected. you play the game and eventually unlock static shortcuts instead of scouting the entire boring overworld for progression. i think its a bad game, summoner classes are plain overpowered for example but that reaction is still a bit much
David Bell
>you quick travel back to town as many times as you like
>implying it's hard to keep a full tp tome in D2
Sebastian Cruz
Diablo 3 was honestly good at the end of vanilla and the start of RoS. But after a while in RoS the powercreep became way too much and rifts ruined the game. Legendaries are now as common as a simple yellow drop back then, you don't feel happy at all anymore when you get a legendary drop, set items forces you to use certain abilities and the only thing you do is run rifts over and over again.
Carson Carter
It's a blizzdrone meme because the d2 dev said mean things to the d3 devs so hes super evil

>you have to at least put it on hard mode for some sort of challenge ...
>you quick travel back to town as many times as you like >you can identify items on the go as many times as you like These are quality of life improvements like picking up gold automatically. In d2 it wasn't harder, just more tedious.
>why is this game such SHIT It was developed with consoles in mind by people who had no contribution to anything in the genre. I have no idea what fucking game you're playing though. The monsters in D3 have an absurd amount of damage now; not using at least two sources of 50% damage reduction is suicide. Likewise, the health increase, especially in grifts, is atrocious. You'll eventually (quickly) reach a point where those zombies first encountered years ago will one hit you and take more than a minute to kill.

anyone here want to give me a boost? I'm starting a new HC seasonal char.
Joseph Ortiz
It was mediocre then. Late act 3 days up until pre-Ros were its best days but it never reached its potential. Ros was a perfect point to remove crit reliability, begin adding skill trees, and generally fix the game. Even with its bad start and appropriate reputation it could've become a genuinely good game especially when factoring its only two competitors don't seem to be too fond of optimizing their games.
Grim Dawn. There's some hope the performance will be fixed and a new expansion is confirmed for most likely this year. Plus it has modding support.
Luke Sanders
>>infinite health potions WOOOOOOW WHY DON'T THEY MAKE ME PICK UP WORTHLESS SHIT AND MAKE IT TAKE UP INVENTORY SPACE >>you literally never take damage Try a harder difficulty, stupid asshole. >>you have to at least put it on hard mode for some sort of challenge You answered your own complaint, stupid asshole. >>you quick travel back to town as many times as you like See point 1. >>you can identify items on the go as many times as you like See point 1.
Pathetic attempt. The game has several problems, but you are just whining about stupid shit.
Jacob Davis
You literally disproved nothing. You insulted him then just said "I insulted you who care" until the list was finished.

Hell no, you'll get blown up by jailers every single time if that's what you're trying to do. I don't like D3, but come the fuck on, don't blatantly lie like that.
Nathan Lee
D1 because it's the closest to its roguelike roots. I never could stand how D2 turned the entire genre into loot grinding and character building overnight.
Jaxson Carter
Torchlight 2 has way less depth than D3. Come on at least try with the bait.
Brandon Gutierrez
>and the only thing you do is run rifts over and over again. Because running Mephisto 24/7 was so much better.
Bentley Anderson
Infinite health potions was from a patch because the things dropped as often as gold and wasted inventory space.
Hunter Scott
good thing increasing health and making shit last longer for the sake of "lol its harder damage sponges!" are shit game designs
Benjamin Gomez
Rifts are what saved the game. Running through dungeons killing a bunch of shit for loot has always been the draw of Diablo. Granted set items kind of ruin creativity but look at D2. You would run the same boss over and over for drops until you got your specific build you were building to then you pumped up the difficulty to do it again. At least in D3 you aren't locked into a build from the get go.
Kevin Gray
>wooo why dont they make me pick up worthless shit You spend 99% of your time playing PICKING UP WORTHLESS SHIT
Chase Russell
Just like D2 and D1. That's the whole point of the carrot and the stick design.
William Nelson
Speak for yourself. Running through a dungeon desperately grabbing anything you can get in the hopes that it'll help you make it to the bottom is what made Diablo for me and the shift towards grinding killed it.
Henry Martinez
call me when they remove torment or add torment but with monster density and not the current shit of more hp = no fun allowed
Hudson Brown
>infinite health potions This was a recent change due to player complaints. If you didn't get an infinite potion legendary you needed consumables, which took up inventory space >you literally never take damage Play the game on harder difficulties or hardcore >you have to at least put it on hard mode for some sort of challenge The only time the difficulty being easy is a problem is when you have T13 on farm. The good news is GRIFTS exist to counter that >you can travel back to town as many times as you like Beats taking up inventory space for town portal scrolls >you can identify items on the go as many times as you like Who identifies each piece when farming? Unless you're doing the campaign (which I am willing to bet you are due to your insignificant complaints), there is no reason to identify on the go. Just wait until you're back and use Cains book.
While the game has many faults the one you describe are none that are of major concern. You're nit picking.
Parker Brown
But my point is that grinding has always been a part of the diablo games. You've just grown out of it.
they added more density. torment fosters replayability, why is torment a bad thing?
Liam Barnes
>infinite health potions And? You still have cooldowns, unlike D1, PoE, etc. >you literally never take damage You're literally an idiot. >you have to at least put it on hard mode for some sort of challenge The fuck is "hard mode"? Torment? >you quick travel back to town as many times as you like Just like every HnS game ever. >you can identify items on the go as many times as you like And this is bad how?
I'm not a fan of D3 even though i played it a fair bit, but your thread is so shit, chinkmoot is considering shutting this whole board down if you continue posting.

Robert Perry
>they added more density. till torment 10 they didn't at least (that was months ago when i played) dropped it at season 2-3 pretty much having some maps with more enemies than others its not monster density options
Benjamin Bell
then you have absolutely no idea what you're even talking about
Nicholas Roberts
Daily reminder that D3 was decent when RoS came out, but they quickly squandered it with the subsequent patches which took away all challenge and longevity from the game and introduced insane powercreep thanks to sets and legendaries that don't anything interesting besides buffing a specific skill's damage by a gorillion and giving you damage reduction while using said skill
I don't understand what was going on in their heads when they opted to make those sets/legendaries instead of actually buffing or improving shitty underused skills to make them fun and useful
Thomas Thompson
>not playing the real Diablo 3

Carter Robinson
I didn't buy D3/RoS until it went on sale for 50% off. I had as much fun with it as I did D2 back in the day. I enjoyed pumping the difficulty as high as I could manage, maximizing offense and defense, and then pumping it higher. This is the condition the game should have been released in.

WoW balancing.
play the way the developer intends you to. trying to do an outside-the-box build? FUCK YOU, WE'LL STREAMLINE YOUR STUPID TALENTS OUT.
PoE lets you do that. of course, outside-the-box thinking tends to make you gimped to fuck since GGG balances around what the handful of autistic metagamers do and if you're not using the right uniques with the right gem then YOU'RE SHIIIIIIT I BET YOU CAN'T EVEN CLEAR ENTIRE MAPS IN 15 SECONDS WITH CHUCK NORRIS DPS
