I'm not sure about the islamification part that that user mentioned, besides Hitler's general sympathy for islam, but, at the very least, here in Eastern Europe SS units were told to destroy Christian churches.

Well, Hitler did have contact with the Muslim Arab world. He met with Haj Amin Al Hussein, formed the Hanjar division and the Nazis gave support for arab political movements in the middle east, but I think his motivations were more pragmatical. Not sure abut the church thing. There seem to be conflicting accounts about Hitlers religion(or lack there of it). He was either an convinced atheist or a believing Catholic.

Yeah, it's mostly understandable. Having allies and bashing their religious views, especially if they're very fanatical about it, isn't the best of tactics. Though looking at some of Hitler's speeches, especially of Islam, he seemed to pretty passionate about it. He also admired Buddhism and such, but to a lesser degree. As for his views on Christianity, yeah it seems to be mostly a mixed bag, but if you go read about some old SS units or interviews with some higher ranking people, they sometimes talk about Christianity, as a whole, being a Jewish religion.
