"Unable to complete this heavy task for our country
Arrows and bullets all spent, so sad we fall.
But unless I smite the enemy,
My body cannot rot in the field.
Yea, I shall be born again seven times
And grasp the sword in my hand.
When ugly weeds cover this island,
My sole thought shall be [the future of] the Imperial Land"

Play Gravity Rush 2 user sama. The devs need your money.

you have no choice. commit sudoku

I never played the first game and I don't have much money.

Wow, this really is a Souls copycat. The UI and death screen look exactly the same.

The similarities are superficial. Gameplay is quite different.

...

>that side mission where you had to fight two of those at once
>there's an even worse wave after that

yakuza 0 came out today

>wanting to play geralt ripoff

Yeah, nah, youre a faggot

Replay bloodborne for the 5 millionth time

Yeah i spent three hours on that side mission. That was when i finally got good at nioh

Pirate Rabi-Ribi.
Play on hard.

Shadow Warrior 2
Sword only
Go ham

bump

a fucking white male!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>don't play shadow warrior 2, the 2013 version is far better.

>weeb souls
no thanks

all souls games are weeb

Copycat is the wrong word, but it's absolutely based upon the basic souls toolset. They just added more stuff to do. Which is fine, I'm sick of the DS formula and this looks way more FUN to play.

...

No.

Play/replay through its influences (Onimusha, BB/Souls, NG, Genji, WotS etc. etc.) and read James Clavell's Shogun!

I've been saying this for a while but I think in a lot of ways the people who come to Nioh from a Souls-borne background can find themselves at a disadvantage when trying to play and enjoy this game. I say this simply because a proficiency in Souls-borne games can sometimes cause people to overestimate their abilities or understanding of something they incorrectly perceive to be more or less identical to what they're familiar with. There's a certain amount of comfort in habits and mindset that comes along with that proficiency, and it's for this reason I think that a lot of people may have issues when they aren't willing to deviate from their habits because there's an assumption that they shouldn't need to; that their default approach is already the best option.
Now, obviously this is entirely anecdotal, it does not apply to everyone, and is only my opinion based on what I've observed from my friends and fellow Souls-borne content creators. It also however stems from my own experiences with Nioh in the alpha, beta and most recent demo. I'm a twitch streamer who's content focuses mainly around the various Fromsoft titles, and I've put in a stupid amount of hours between all the Souls-borne games (like, easily 5,000 - 6,000 hours or more) and my first experience with Nioh was that of frustration. It was frustration stemming from my unwillingness (at least initially) to deviate from my ingrained habits and muscle memory because I assumed I'd be able to jump right into this game and be good at it. It became abundantly clear that I was wrong.
It wasn't until I started to unlearn some of those habits and actually dive into the deep combat and gameplay options of Nioh that I really started to enjoy myself, and now I feel entirely enamored by the game.

Watch some akira kurosawa films. you may be able to finish 1 or 2 of them before nioh comes out.

I played the beta and this demo. Both times I picked it up fairly quickly. I am worried that the game is a bit too easy now.
I heard Ogress is supposed to be the 4th boss. That's fucked if she is because she's really easy.

the last chance demo is really a poor example of Nioh. The beta was loads better and felt pretty challenging .

I loved the beta, but I felt really uncertain about the demo.
Honestly afraid to buy it at this point. The beta actually felt fresh and challenging, while the demo felt much more like a Souls clone.

It could be worse, you could own a PC and have nothing to play on February 7.

Im still getting the game on day 1 but if you are on the fence on buying this game then wait for the reviews

>Waiting for Toukiden 2
>Waiting for Nioh
I just want my mythical japan fix.

>Nothing to play until Nioh comes out
Are you MAD?

Too many fucking games in January, I'm still taking my sweet time with GravityRush2.

yes

The new digimon game comes out in a week if you're interested.

GR is shit, play Yakuza.

Yakuza is shit, play RE7.

> I only play modern games

toukiden 1 was just a shitty MH clone, why the fuck would you want a second one?

RE7 is shit, play GR.

We've already been over this. GR is shot, play Yakuza.

GR is shit , play with your dick

Sorry, your meme is 2 years outdated

Is Godseekers the open world DW?

I can do both tho, kinda.

>He uses middle stance.
>LaughingSpiritWaifus.biff
But seriously is medium ever really useful? I did just fine in the second and this beta mixing low and highstance.
Also,
>No Iai draw finisher.

>souls copycat
>implying darks souls is the gatekeeper of this genre.

I'm pretty interested since I didn't like the cyber/detective aesthetic of cybersleuth.

oh i only made that webm to show the third debuff that appeared after i hit him with the lightning and water debuff. Medium stance is best for blocking because it lets you regenerate stamina while you block. Also the i like using the heavy jab attack in mid stance .im not that great at the game but i enjoyed it immensely

well I dont wanna die, but yeah

Nioh's not even that great imo but I'm still probably gonna day 1 it 'cause I'm so fucking bored.

hmmm the das3 dlc 2 will be coming soon. I haven't even bothered playing through the first one though

das3 dlc looks to be even more boring shit
i just want it to come out so i can give it a playthrough then drop it forever

regretting that deluxe edition purchase

>regretting that deluxe edition purchase
i also regret buying the season pass
meh

medium is really good for spears, it has a nice speed and range plus there's a move that can be used to parry with them on medium

high stance spear is a turd tho

How fun is that?

Gravity Rush 2
Yakuza 0

Yakuza 0, Tales of Berseria, and RE7 literally just came out today and Gravity Rush 2 came out less than a week ago

>Dynasty Warriors
>Digimon World
>Miku

The fuck.

...

wish I could play as a girl in this

Dear lord please don't tell me that fucking black box in the left hand corner is going to be appearing when people play the full game and upload their footage on Youtube.

If it does then I'm going to fucking record with my capture card.

Played the Nioh demo
Now I'm more excited for the Dark Souls III DLC than nioh

Koei Tecmo put stupid watermarks and black boxes on all their shit, it's ridiculous.

it wont in the full game

mid is amazing for spears and 1kat

Good chance there won't be a box labeled "alpha demo" in the full game

>I never played the first game
Neither did I, it doesn't really matter.

FUCK, this game looks good.

When a dark fantasy setting is done right, god damn.

>there are people who don't switch stances midfight constantly

wait, there were more side missions than the dual one? All I saw in the beta were the main mission, the duel side mission, and the twilight zone or whatever first mission again, there were more?

>tfw way too fucking much to play
>new year's resolution was to thin my backlog
>mind set on 100%ing Xenoblade X
>gotta finish Chronicles
>pokemon moon
>Hitman2016
>gravity rush 2
>about 6-7 different NES/SNES games
>4-5 N64 games
>darkest dungeon
>FF13-1/2/3
>Kid Icarus:Uprising
>Rabi-Ribi
>Megaman X5
>probably even more I'm forgetting

I need to stop putting things on Hiatus when a new game comes out. The next 3 months are going to be a fucking nightmare with the shit that I'm picking up.

Fucker looks like Geralt.

>Xenoblade X
reminded me I haven't beaten it

I also still need to beat/play
>DaS1, 2, 3
>Bloodborne
>Uncharted 4
>Ratchet and Clank

So I did everything there was to do in the demo and it was plenty of fun but I was limited in playing and didn't get to explore much (for example, different spirits etc.)

Can somebody give me the run down on how many weapon styles there are and what hi/mid/lo stance do? I mostly used mid to do regular hits and hi to do high damage on bigger guys, I felt like from the small time I played I didn't get to fully explore what the benefit of low stance is. Also what do all the spirits do, do they all grant invincibility?

>reminded me I havent finished bloodbourne
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

im too much of a shitter at this moment to be able to switch in mid combat

:(

...

noone gives a shit. stop spamming threads with this

>The devs need your money.
Well then they shouldn't have shafted their original fanbase. Vita gamers were the only reason GR2 was possible and Vita gamers didn't even get GR2. It doesn't even look like much of an improvement. I own a PS4, but there's no way I'd support those shitty devs again.

>stuck at orphan at level 56 despite being able to take no damage from the first phase

reeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

thats LITERALLY a bonewheel in the back

>what is the best Yakuza game to ever come out 0

Will you need ps+ for revenants to appear?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanyūdō

probably. though i know there are some developer made revanants that will probably appear

Right now I'm just hanging around the Fishing Hamlet. Did some Chalice Dungeons here and there but I haven't progressed much due to playing other games. I'll probably go back this weekend and start playing it again (and probably beat it)

You'll get there user.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Anyone have the tanuki webm?
