How many of you have actually bought a game after pirating?
How many of you have actually bought a game after pirating?
I bought EU4 after playing it for a year. Still added another 1000 hours after buying.
>bought a game after pirating
for what purpose?
I did this all the time in the GBA/DS days.
To support a developer to make more shit, obviously.
multiple times, either to support the dev or to get updates without having to wait for a torrent everytime they update the game.
I always buy the games that I feel are worth their price. Whether this involves me buying the game at its asking price or waiting for a sale varies by the game. I also flat out delete games I didn't like, typically before even completing them
I did. Mostly Star Wars games though.
Several times, yes
Terraria
Pirated twice, then bought
Red deserves it
Stalker
The dlc for witcher 3
papers please
valhalla (I hope you venezuelans are still alive, sorry i took so long to pay you :()
Startopia (twice)
Jedi Academy
the game dev tycoon game that's on mobile and not shit that I had on bluestacks and played.
I didn't ever pay for
Stardew valley (because I keep forgetting, and I've only played 10 fucking minutes, but I will because its clearly going to be good if I ever do)
A couple football manager yearly iterations
Monster girl quest parts 1-3
Adobe flash
Sony Vegas pro 13
I keep a torrent seed up for fallout 4 at all times to compensate for the fact I was foolish enough to buy it and didn't refund in time. Please do not ever pay for fallout 4, I already did for you.
What punishment do you have for me Sup Forums? Do what you must, I have already lost.
I only did it once, with M&B Warband. It was so good I felt bad for pirating.
that road rash successor that had a kickstarter. It was fun, and the game kept getting updates and more features
I only buy indie games after pirating if the developer isn't a faggot or jew
I don't buy AAA games
I buy every game I want to play, new or old. Physical. Because I like to.
>buy PS2 games on PSN
>buy physical copies for the ones I loved
Va11halla and Valkyria chronicles 1 and 3. Maybe more but I can't remember.
Never. I don't want to pay some guy on Amazon to play Final Fantasy 6. The games I pirate are no longer for sale, meaning that the developers don't get the money.
I bought both Hotline Miamis after pirating.
>How many of you ...
How many of the people who feel spoken to since they do just that?
Most of them?
Your question is even worth less than a worthless anonymous voluntary poll.
To play online after making sure it isn't shit.
EU4 and CK2. Paradox makes good games but I still don't trust them for some reason.
I bought the new Wolfenstein after I beat my pirated copy, same thing with Stick of Truth and Subnautica. If I like it I buy it.
The only game ever ever did that with was Skyrim because it was 5 bucks and I couldn't find the most recent update for porn mods
Stardew Valley and Valhalla
I bought Dark Souls after pirating.
Mirror 's edge, red alert 3, dishonored, homeworld, judge dredd vs death and a lot more, but this 5 are the only ones I remember paying full price and not waiting for a sale.
>E.Y.E
>Skullgirlls
>Killingfloor
>Wolfenstein the new order
in other words, yea
All the time with comics, at least. I almost never buy shit that I can't read an issue or at least a few pages of online for free first.
Mount and Blade, Dark Souls, MGSV so I can play with mods that make it fun, Factorio, Cities Skylines, I pretty much pirate everything before I buy because video game journalism is unreliable.
Shut the fuck up
>tfw I've bought Hitman Blood money 5 times over the course of its existance
None.
>pirate brand new game that is sold for full price everywhere
>play through it countless times
>years later it is part of a humble bundle
>pay a dollar to get the game
>'see anons? when the game is good, I actually buy it after pirating!'
Piratefags are scum
Remember I have to storytime on /co the Dredd from last week, I was on vacation and forgot about it
Did 2 playthroughs of DaS1 on a pirated copy then purchased every game in the series (Inc. BB) after that.
What good mods are there for MGSV?
actually, every single game in my steam directory pretty much. I don't like demos, neither are they a representation of the game most of the time.
Pirated Steins;Gate 0 since a retail copy won't play on a 3.60 Vita.
Still bought the special edition though.
I've bought about two dozen games I think after pirating them and determining that they were fun and worth my money.
I did
Europe 1400
Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
and dozens of other games I played when I was younger and my PC too shitty for them
usually get them for 2,50€ max
